Fit time in HH…Wouldn’t be the last

Wanted a colour other than black and was more feminine. My husband got the same coat last year and loved the athletic fit and quality. Fit time I skied in HH yet the fit is designed for women while offering several technical features you would only find in other brands $1k +. Great value and style for the price.

Great quality and warm with athletic fit

Great looking insulated ski jacket - material feels really nice and durable. Helped staying warm on the mountain.Sizing wise runs quite small and is definitely on the athletic fit side. Partner purchased Size S and she's 165cm/48kg and can pretty much only fit a thermal inside "comfortably".Overall, really great jacket if you are after an athletic fit outer layer with insulation inside.

I would recommend this jacket.

The weight of this coat is just what I wanted. It's an insulated jacket not just a shell. It isn't too heavy but heavy enough for a winter jacket! I ordered a 12 to give me plenty of room. I'm 5'7" and 150 lbs with broad shoulders. I wear a medium in my tops. The sleeves fit very nicely as for the length as well as the way they are fitted to your underarms. The fit it slim with a little down swoop in the back which I find more flattering for women. It isn't a long jacket but longer than some of the standard ski coats. Quality seems very good. Happy with purchase.

Perfect for my long arms and a variety of weather
8 February 2023

Fit, form, and function: this was perfect on the slopes in January.I'm 5'7", 130 lbs, with extremely long arms, narrow waist, broad shoulders, and a B-Cup bra. The Small fit perfectly, and I wear 3 thin but warm and stretchy layers underneath: cami, turtleneck, and thin Helly Hansen hoodie or 1/4 zip. Could have fit another thin layer but would have been way too warm. The waterproofing kept me dry when it was sleeting on the slopes in the Catskills. I run very cold, and thought it would be too light to be warm enough, but it was great at 20* F + wind.Looking forward to eventually using the powder skirt!Zippers are all strong and in all the right places, and everything is typical Helly Hansen super high quality. Love the jade color, too. Just perfect

Perfect ski jacket
18 October 2023

Love this jacket! Color is beautiful blue. Fits true to size I am 5ft 2 and 112 lbs size small is perfect. Sleeve length and hip length are perfect. It has all the features you want for skiing and can add mid layers if it's very cold. HH always has the quality you expect, can't wait to try it this winter!

Slim Fit vs. Regular
16 February 2024

The Helly Hansen sizing is so variable by jacket, it would help if the measurements were posted (shoulder to shoulder, hip to hip and length down the zipper). I ordered three different HH jackets online (all the same size, XS) and the ones that say "slim fit" are bulky and wide in the shoulders and waist. This one says "regular fit" and it is MUCH more form fitting than the Avanti Insulated or the Motionista. I'm grateful for Evo's awesome return policy because I would advise everyone to just order several sizes/styles and try them all on.

Stylish, but a little shorter than expected
25 December 2018

OK so this jacket is *almost* perfect. It's stylish and very well made. I am 5'6.5 and 130 pounds, with a normal to slimmer body type. I am usually a size small in most jackets. I debated for so long about whether to order the small or medium. I WOULD DEFINITLEY SIZE UP IN THIS STYLE. I ended up ordering the size medium and it's definitely the correct size for me: a size small would have definitely been too tight in the arms/arm span, and likely would have fit too snugly overall. I wanted somthing I could wear on the ski hill, but that I could also wear casually too in colder environments. The size medium fits me very much like how it fits the model in the picture. I can easily wear a sweater underneath this jacket without it feeling too tight, but again I am fairly ... MoreOK so this jacket is *almost* perfect. It's stylish and very well made. I can easily wear a sweater underneath this jacket without it feeling too tight, but again I am fairly slim overall. This jacket has lots of "bells and whistles" and I can tell it's very well made. I am going to keep it, and will likely be overall very happy with it. Only fair to mention the "cons" so potential buyers can get a better idea of the overall fit: 1) keep in mind this jacket is likely shorter than you expect it to be: looking at the pictures now I see that that is fairly obvious, but for some reason I was expecting it to be a little longer. The jacket definitely doesn't cover my butt fully.....I would love it If they had made this style a little longer so that your hips and butt were fully covered. So keep in mind that if you are taller than me, you might have an issue with how short the jacket is. 2) The jacket is NOT straight up and down....it definitely "flares" out a bit at the bottom. Not a huge deal, but I would have preferred a straight up and down cut. I keep wanting to cinch the bottom in with the drawstrings, but then it kind of bunches up and sits funny. This is just a personal preference. 3) The snap-snow-skirt thing fits me a little funny. Maybe it's a little too big for my hips, but like another reviewer said, it just doesn't stay put on me. If I lift my arms over my head, or even above my shoulders, the skirt just releases up to my belly-button. It's a little better with snow pants, but it's kind of annoying that it doesn't stay where it's supposed to. I feel like the snowskirt on the size small would probably have fit me better, but again the size small would have definitely been too small for me everywhere else.

The perfect jacket
15 February 2024

5'4 1/2", 120lb, perfect fit even with bib and base layer. Felt like I was wearing nothing whether walking through town or at 13k feet in a snowstorm. Meaning I wasn't cold or hot, simply perfect. When the sun was out, 20s-30s, arm vents worked. Great arm range of motion. I am proportional for my height and the jacket hit right at my hip bone and top of butt. I wear bibs so I can't speak to how it works with pants, there's a powder skirt though. I'm never 100% happy with any gear, there's always something I see to improve, but not with this jacket. HH is the best quality in comfort, insulation and being completely waterproof. This is my first season of wear, so we will see how it holds up, the seams and zippers are flawless. HH customer for life, holy cow.Oh and just for a crazy story, I don't live near an evo store, so I bought 2k worth of jackets, bibs and pants (on sale, so everything was worth about 4k-6k). I wanted to try on as much as possible, as if I was in the store. I need to know my money is spent on exactly what I want and need. Tried Obermeyer, Burton, Volcom, Roxy, Spyder, maybe some others. I found something lacking in everything and ended up sending everything back except this Helly Alphelia Lifaloft jacket and the Helly legendary insulated bibs. Almost kept another jacket, I believe it was a Volcom Sarah jacket. I might buy that in the future if I want a shell but honestly I'd probably still end up with a HH there too. My next purchase will be some slim fit lower insulation pants because the HH insulation is that good.I'm stoked on this purchase if you can't tell.

Very Warm, Classy Ski Jacket
2 March 2024

I've sold so many Alphelia jackets that I had to try one myself after hearing such great feedback from customers. As soon as you put it on, it feels so soft and plush that you know it's a super nice jacket. I love how comfortable it is and how classy it looks. It does run on the smaller/more slim side, so if you are in between sizes or you want to layer additionally on the coldest days, size up. My favorite two features are the detachable hood and the plush mesh ventilation in the interior back of the jacket. This jacket is awesome and I definitely recommend it if you want to be warm, dry and look great at the resort or anywhere you go this winter.
