Maybe in the tail end of spring skiing this might work but is not insulated enough for low temps.Great early fall or spring coat in Ontario or cold summer nights. I would equate this to a functional sports bomber.

Exactly what I wanted, a simple but high quality softshell jacket with everything I need, and no usless pockets, gadgets, etc....and discreet logos. Sizing is correct as per HH size chart, fits great, comfortable, and not too heavy! I layer it with other clothes, so I can use this most of the year. Great jacket and, as usual, great price and service from TrkkInn!
Fits my long arms, boxy body though, considering getting it taken in at dry cleaners. Fleece backing makes it warm in the dry but haven’t yet tested it in windy drizzle. Would be great if HH used Gore as membrane for piece of mind.
This is the perfect lightweight jacket for my husband. He was given something similar as a freebie years ago, and I'm just delighted to have found a replacement. Although thin and lightweight it has a slightly fleecy lining and seems to keep him warm and dry without being cumbersome.The pricepoint and delivery were excellent too.
Although I've only worn it a few times since I've received it, it's great so far. Enough insulation to wear alone in the earlier fall, yet sized with enough room so you can still layer underneath once it gets a bit colder. Also really like the styling, can wear it as an every-day jacket yet still go out on the town after. Very windproof, yet haven't had a chance to test its waterproofing yet.
I recently received the Paramount Softshell jacket and found the fit to be nearly perfect in every aspect, except one...when fully zipped, the collar is too snug, compared to other HH jackets. The zippered front pockets are nice and deep. I would prefer an inner chest pocket in addition to the outer chest pocket. The fabric is soft, seems to resist moisture and wind and offers a fair amount of warmth, as well.
Good jacket. Comfortable, warmer, and more windproof than the northface bionic jackets I've been going through over the years. The collar is good and high so keeps the wind out. Bought the same size (medium) as the northface and the fit was loose enough to get a heavy fleece on underneath. I work outside in Scotland and I'm pleased with the purchase. We'll see how long it lasts. I have high hopes. I won't be buying the northface again.
This is a very very good-looking jacket, extremely comfortable and functional. However, while the athletic fit of the torso was extremely flattering, the sleeves were very long, almost past my fingertips. I recommend this for someone who is very tall with long arms and very slender. I wish it fit me better, But otherwise it is a phenomenal jacket!
