The pants are warm and easy to wear. They fit well and run pretty close to size. One of my only issues is that the inseam is longer than advertised and I keep stepping on the hem. Perfect once I am on skis but I also hike so the pants do creep below the back of my boot a lot. I know shorter pants exist, but when the website only sells the regular length, it is difficult for people who are a little shorter or a little taller than normal. That being said, the features are excellent. The gaiters work as advertised and the waist adjustments work perfectly and easily. The leg vents work a treat, but they are not waterproof as far as I know so water and snow do make their way inside.

Good pant for warmth and dryness. A bit snug. Definite skier look. Will use for mild to warmer days. Would recommend a belt. Great ventilation.5'6" 183 lbs Male. Stocky build. 25 years snowboarding in 0-45 degree weather with a decent tolerance to cold. Base layers are Costco cool 32 degrees.

I have two of these HH Legendary pants; black and red. The pants drape nicely with a soft hand, yet are quite windproof and highly resistant to moisture penetration. I've worn one or the other pair in the New England and Montana regions of the US, and Austrian Alps; skiing the piste, woods, and back country. Great product at a great price!
I purchased this jacket for my ski trip to Canada. It worked well, was very warm and fit the purpose. The only downside was that it was a snow jacket, not a ski jacket. It doesn't have everything you need during skiing, like an in-built fog-cleaning napkin for your goggles, or not enough inside pockets for your stuff :)But overall, it was great and warm.
I've been in the same pair for 6+ years. About 80 days of skiing (both area and BC) per year. But also lots of days working on ski lifts, snow blowing, and even fat biking in colder weather. Not a lot of insulation, but that's ok since I can select from thin to heavy tights depending on the temps, and the inner thigh zippers work great when skinning. Only hit is pretty poor water repellency.
As far as I can tell, the pants I received were not insulated--instead they have a thin liner. The pant is so thin and the liner is so thin, these are the thinnest ski pants that I've tried on. The material is very flexible, and it looks like polyester. I don't think the quality measures up against the Marmot Refuge pant that I recently tried on. I am a 36 waist, and the XL size HH pant was too big with the waist straps done up as tight as they would go, while the Large size was very tight around the waist and hips with the waist straps as loose as they would go. The rise from the crotch to the waist band is also much too low, and I think ski pants should be cut higher in the back, which HH doesn't do. I think the pockets are cut too low on the hips making them a long reach. For comparison, I wear a size XL in Burton Heavy Weight X Baselayer; size L in Smartwool Merino 250 bottom; size XL in most other pants, although with the XL Marmot Refuge pant I had to tighten the waist straps all the way, so I'm going to try a size Large to see if they fit better. I think at this price point, the Marmot Refuge pant or the slightly cheaper insulated Quicksilver Utility pant is the way to go.
Beginner skier. First time buying skiing gear. I chose HH because all of the ski instructors and my friends who ski swear by HH. Quality I am sure is great. I bought a HH Alpha LifaLoft Jacket XL that I will keep. The pants feel great they are just too slim for my body shape. I wear a 34x34 in Levi 531s. Around the thighs and groin were extremely tight although my waist had a few inches of free space. I was unable to sit or bend in these pants.
I have to say these are my favorite pants in terms of comfort and fit. That is where the great ends. They were shredded to bits after about 3 days of skiing in the ankle area. I tried to warranty claim them and Helly said that they were cut due to misuse. I said, hey, I had a pair of Columbia pants for 7 years and crashed many times and use them in the park and they took 7 years to look like these pants in 3 days. Quality is terrible. Also, on a wet day, my butt gets wet, they are not water proof. I washed them with the waterproofing liquid, helped a little but does not last. Very disappointed as they look great and feel amazing. Wish they held up better.
I expected a lot more from Helly Hansen. These don't have most of the features you will find in a lot cheaper pants from other companies. I am sorry I bought them The only reason I am not returning them is they are a color match to a Helly Hansen jacket I bought. Not only are they cheaply made but they run a little small as well.I would not recommend these pants
