Delighted with quality of this winter waterproof parka. Medium is equivalent to size 12/14. Warm and still able to wear more layers if needed. Would recommend for anyone needing warmth aswell as protection from the rain over the winter months.😊

Fits nicely and is of very good quality

I really like my new purchase of Parka from Helly Hansen. I have bought Helly Hansen jackets over the last few years and everytime, I am never disappointed. I always find the item of really good quality and value for money, including this Parka. Its sizing is true to size, I am just 147cm so I chose the S and it fits me perfectly, with enough room for baselayer and midlayer. The stitching is of very good quality, and the whole Parka is light due to its material (down). I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Parka which is functional, fashionable and reasonably priced.

Great every day warm coat

We're just in a cold snap and this coat has been brilliant. I walk a lot and usually wear shorter coats but my legs are freezing in all the sporty tights, they're all so thin. This coat comes down over my bum and thighs and keeps me really cosy. Temps have not been above freezing for the past week. I took the fur off the hood because it came down over my eyes (only after did I notice I can adjust the hood so I might put it back on now!). The zipped hand-warmer pockets are perfect and the two way zip is also very handy for sitting down. The only negative for this jacket is the lack of an upper pocket in chest area. An outside or inside pocket here would have been very handy for cards/phone/small wallet. Love this parka! Super warm and very comfortable! I am petit and most parkas are too long or sleeves don’t fit but this one fits me perfect. Highly recommended!

Nice Parka

Nice Parka. I've always wanted a full length downy and this one was worth the splurge. It feels like you're wearing a sleeping bag but is fitted enough that it looks nice on. Warm and decently more water resistant than a typical downy. The fur trim is pretty cheap looking though - I've seen many other styles of coat with much nicer looking fake fur trim. I took it off. Double zipper is a bit annoying as well, as it tends to come apart at the bottom by doing something simple like getting out of the car. I can live with that though. Overall, a really nice coat for every day winter living in the BC Southern Interior.

I bought this coat over a month ago. I went for a size up as per reviews. It is roomy but didn’t send it back in case it needed layers adding in winter, which I’ve found it does (currently -1). I’m 5’11 so I was conscious to find a coat with a decent arm length. I’m happy to say this is a good coat for taller ladies. I read a review complaining about the fur trim on the hood being held on by only 4 buttons and looks a bit sloppy. I initially felt disappointed also until I found further buttons, which means the fur trim fits much more neatly around the hood. Another complaint I read said the hood comes low, over peoples eyes. There’s a press stud tab on the hood which allows you to pull the hood back slightly, so it isn’t in your eyes so much.The coat isn’t as warm ... MoreI bought this coat over a month ago. It is lovely and toasty once you do this. The zip is a little temperamental and can take a few goes before it properly aligns. I like a coat that zips up over my chin. The zip comes level to my chin. Stylish, Cold Weather Comfort

Purchased this winter jacket for my daughter. Wanted something stylish for her to wear to school, but, yet be extremely functional in the outdoors. I got both with this purchase. My daughter loves the look and I love the piece of mind and protection outdoors that comes with the Helly Hansen brand. Great functionality with this piece of attire. You will probably have to layer a fleece under this in extreme cold situations, I do not feel that it is made for sitting on a lake ice fishing, but, any other time, you should have plenty of protection from the elements. As with most HH clothing, I would consider it an athletic fit. If you like more breathing room, I would suggest going up one size.

The seams on the inside were already apart, not good quality

This jacket came, I unpacked from band new plastic packaging, and both the underarm internal seams were coming apart on both sides of the jacket lining. I was quite disappointed about the bad stitching quality of the lining.The jacket was suctioned inside the packaging, but fluffed up when opened, the fluffy collar was a little disappointing as it wasn’t as fluffy as I would have linked.Anyways, I emailed the services team whom sent me a reply paid returns to “assess” the jacket even after I emailed them photos of the seams. But they did refund me the money, confirmed once they received it back all quite quickly.Now I’m looking for a different brand with better quality, at least I have time before I need it!

Warm and puffy with style

Bought this jacket for my daughter who is a freshman at the University of Wisconsin. She needed a longer winter coat but did not want to look like the Michelin woMan. This coat fit the bill. Nice and warm, fleece lined pockets, and stylish. My daughter is a slim 5'10" and the Medium size fit her perfectly. I would agree with some of the previous reviews that the coat runs a bit on the slim side (which was a selling point for us).
