I did a decent amount of research before choosing this helmet. I was looking for a helmet that was safe, stylish, and affordable. Although I purchased at the Next Adventure website, I initally tried it on, along with several other helmets, and it was a great fit and looked good, too. The best part? The magnetic chin strap buckle!! It makes securing and removal of the strap almost effortless! Following the maiden voyage of the helmet this past weekend, I love it. A terrific price for a solid helmet.

I really like the look of this helmet compared to other brand. The quality seems pretty good. I’m not a snowboarder expert but it seems to be good enough for beginners. I bought the grey one on sale and fit well. My baseball cap size is 7 3/8 and I opt to get the XL so I can wear it with a skull cap/balaclava. I think the L would fits well if you’re not wearing anything underneath it. The adjustable BOA is a plus!

Didn't purchase from Evo but wanted to leave a review that may be helpful to others. The main thing that needs to be pointed out is that it's possible to dramatically influence the fit of this helmet by adjusting where the BOA dial and by association the entire 360 cable system fits on your cranium. By default, it's in the middle position, but you can move it up or down about 1/4". To do so, either remove the liner or peel it back and out of the way near the BOA dial to expose the grey piece that attaches the BOA dial to the 360 fi system as well as is anchored into the helmet itself. Where that grey piece is plugged into the helmet, there are 2 nubs that plug in. You can get a good grip on that part, tug it out, and then move it up or down. My head is 57cm so ... My head is 57cm so directly in middle of range (55-59cm) for medium. However, before moving this spot down to open up more space inside the helmet, it didn't fit correctly for me when I attempted to wear the helmet with liner removed, thin balaclava and goggles underneath helmet. The goggle strap took up too much space and interfered with where the 360 system was trying to grip around my head. Also, it was gripping right around the widest part of my skull, and the helmet was prone to getting pushed up and then sliding off my head entirely. Since moving it down, the entire thing grips excellently and is gripping UNDERNEATH the widest part of my head, where my skull starts to taper back down to my neck, and as a result the helmet cannot be pushed upwards and off my head. I can fling my head around all crazy and it doesn't slip at all. I get the impression that this adjustment would fix most people's fit issue. However, Oakley can't be bothered to mention it on their product lisitng or in the manual that comes with it. In fact, the manual just goes on and on about dealing with the brims that are on the Mod3 helmet and not the Mod1.

The helmet (Mod1) looks good, but the inner lining material is rough on the skin, especially on the forehead, and lacks padding. The goggle clip at the back is not flexible at all and can't hold the goggle band underneath; it will break if I push the band further. I have already sent the photos to Oakley CS, but I doubt they will act on it to improve their product based on my recent experience.
Nice quality helmet - light and comfortable and boa works great. Sizing was tough for me as I’m borderline M\L. Went with large as some said they run small. It did fit circumference wise but didn’t have enough forehead clearance for my goggles so had to return. Would have ordered a medium but out of stock now.
Bought two of these- one for the lady and myself. They seem to have good build quality, fit well, and pair nice with both they Flight Deck M and L goggle. Make sure to measure your head or try on before buying as they seem to run a tiny bit on the small side. Incorporating MIPS technology is also a big plus. You’d be silly not to buy a helmet nowadays without some sort of secondary impact protection feature
I bought two as they were on sale (red and blue). I already had a black mod 3 for snowboarding so thought I would take a chance. Great solid helmet....I read that the inner liner and ear pads were removable so I bought the red one for my bike. I works great for that and has a vent at the top so never get too hot. The blue one I bought as a second snowboard helmet. It's definitely a lot smaller than the mod 3 so I would definitely say that you might want to wear a beanie underneath to keep warm...although I think they designed it with that in mind as that's the current trend. it's a great overall helmet and would recommend to anyone....great price, looks stylish and fits great.
Measured my head and got the helmet to fit! The only thing i regret is maybe not sizing up since I was more on the higher end of the size measurement. I have a little wiggle room, enough for a face cover or thin hat, but not enough for a thick warm hat. Everything else is great! Good choice if you are on a budget
The first thing that stood out to me straight out of the box was how light it was. I just rode the pass 4 days and it honestly feels like I’m wearing a beanie. No joke. The magnetic chin strap was an interesting yet very unique feature that other riders asked to see its’ functionality. For a large sized helmet it fit snug with the boa in the back and also didn’t look buggy at all. I have a pair of Flight Deck Goggles and together it looked flat out AMAZING. Everything fitted just how I imagined it too, and the helmet itself is one of the most slick designs on the market. For a very fair price I recommend any rider to buy the Oakley MOD1.
Purchased this helmet as my old one had seen better days. I was unable to locate one locally and decided to take a chance on one from here. I read the reviews and sizing guides and determined that this would be the helmet I would go for. It is light, comfortable and makes me look like a true professional on the slopes. I only wish I would have pulled the trigger sooner on this as my confidence has grown immensely. If you wanna shred with the best then buy one of these helmets. In all honesty, I love the helmet and recommend it to others.
