I received this beautiful little product as part of BH's natural beauty month. It comes as a little 5g tub with a golden lid. I love the design of the lid but I would have preferred the container to be made of glass or a more sturdier, recyled plastic. Just my personal opinion. The product itself contains goodies such as Cannibis sativa oil, lanolin and vitamin E, along with other naturally occurring oils such as Peppermint and sea buckthorn oil. I found it hydrated my lips beautifully, however the cooling sensation from both the Peppermint and menthol oils was not really for me. In the colder months I feel like it creates a bit of a burning sensation that I just don't like the feel of. This also concerns me about the hygiene when it's hard to wash your hands if you're on the go. The balm itself can potentially create havoc on sensitive lips due to all the naturally occurring oils but the Manuka oil is very hydrating and soothing so it's give or take. Its really personal choice!

I only need to apply the smallest amount so this 5g tub will last me absolute ages. This is not the kind of balm that I would carry around in my handbag but I'd keep it on my bedside table. Yes I can recommend it but I have so many lip balms that I cannot see myself needing to purchase any for a long time.

Repeated use, enables one to prolong the duration between application. Great to use under and over lipstick as well as on its own.A little of this goes a long way and the only downside is that it comes in a jar rather than a stick form, making it a little inconvenient to apply when out and about.

Luxurious Premium Product

Hemp conditioning lip balm comes in a cute little pot with a rose gold lid. Easy to throw in your handbag and use when needed. It states it’s Premium Organic Hemp and the quality of the product and the packaging sure makes it look that way. Hemp? This was an ingredient that I didn’t know was used in body products, especially lip balm. So I was pleasantly surprised to read its number of health benefits: including being a rich antioxidant that’s rich in vitamins A and E. It also contains Omega 3 and 6 which encourages skin health. The hemp seed oil, help moisturise, calm, hydrate and revitalise your skin. The balm is organic and cruelty free which contains a number of other healthy ingredients. The Hemp seed oil hydrates your lips leaving them soft and smooth. I found it did everything it stated it would do. After applying the product, my lips felt smooth and hydrated. I could see how this product would smooth my lips if they were chapped and dry. At first, I didn’t quite like the scent of it. But after applying it on my lips, I have actually started to like the smell. Reminds me of lemon and plants. Definitely use again and would highly recommend.

My new cult product

No-one ever!I am already a fan of this brand so I am declaring my absolute bias and with good reason. Where to start? After disposing of the recyclable box this little pot of joy will be a new cult product for you too. I have secured this lip blam's prize position...... in my car. There lies your handy cuticle balm, or those dry knuckles could also do with a smudge. Did you notice those unruly eyebrows in your rearview mirror? there's another use for this amazing, packs-a-punch multitasking lip balm. The combination of oils are so soothing and moisturising and the smell is amazing for those days where you would rather not taste the berry flavoured aray out there. This will be a stapel in my car and worth every penny.

Not the best balm I've used
25 August 2023

A gift from the Beauty Heaven Natural Beauty Month event, this conditioning lip balm is made in New Zealand and is cruelty free and vegetarian friendly. The 5g pot is white with a metallic lid and contains a soft creamy coloured lip balm.I prefer my balms in sticks as I think it is a lot more hygienic than a pot like this for when you are outside the house. The balm smells, and tastes, of menthol and I did get a slight tingle when I first put it on. I found that initially it was hard to get enough on my finger to give a good covering on my lips but this has been improving as I use it. It does make my lips feel moisturised but I don’t find it lasts overly long and it is not as convenient to keep reapplying as a stick would be.Its list of ingredients is noticeably ... MoreA gift from the Beauty Heaven Natural Beauty Month event, this conditioning lip balm is made in New Zealand and is cruelty free and vegetarian friendly. It doesn’t seem to have any added ‘parfum’ or preservatives, I guess the natural oils and extracts fulfil both these roles.I probably wouldn’t buy this although I would consider it if it was in a stick format. It is also quite expensive for what it is. I’m not recommending it but it definitely doesn’t mean there is anything particularly wrong with it, it's just not for me.

Sometimes I got frustrated and dug it with my nail. Another thing I didn't like is the smell. It smells like peppermint and I know it's the menthol causing it. When applied, it causes a bit of cool tingling. Personally I didn't find this product hydrating at all, and when I rubbed my lips together while using this, they dragged and felt like I had wax rather than a balm on.Maybe it's because I have really dry lips and I'm used to more hydrating balms, but this wasn't "conditioning" for me and I don't recommend it to those who need serious help for dry lips.

Protective and nourishing lip balm

The Hemptuary Hemp Conditioning Lip Balm comes packaged in a small 5g pot. I normally prefer wind-up lip balms or balms with an applicator for convenience and hygiene. Given the packaging of the product, I remembered to always wash my hands before using the product (harder to do when on the go or travelling), or I used an applicator or a lip brush to keep the product clean. The lip balm is formulated with menthol and manuka oil – ingredients that help replenish dry lips and protect from daily exposure to environmental conditions (the wind in winter is what really affects my lips). The balm spreads nicely on the lips when applied, and it feels great on the lips, very hydrating and nourishing, offering instant relief to dry, cracked lips. The balm isn’t sticky which is great – its quite slippy on the lips and feels comfortable. I suffer from dry lips in the winter – over the last week of using this lip balm, the condition of my lips is much improved! My lips are smooth, hydrated and are looking and feeling healthy. The balm provides a strong barrier to the wind when I’m out in the cold, and I think it’s very protective and nourishing. I’ll definitely continue using this lip balm. I’ve marked it down 1 star for the packaging.

It comes in a screw top tub.Thoughts: This one really has that cannabis aroma to it, not complaining, I really like the scent of this product! I like to use this on my heels and the cuticles on my toenails because like my fingernails, they get very dry, I just make sure to put socks on after so I don’t slip! I actually gave my Dad a nudge to give it a go because he has some diabetes related dry skin on his lower extremities.
