Little disappointed actually. I spent the money as my much cheaper stand does not reliably and sturdily support my 3.5kg folder containing sheet music for 140+ songs. The load limit of this stand is rated 5kg, so it should be more than adequate, however the EZ Angle roller is NOT strong enough to hold the desk in place under this weight, unless the desk is relatively horizontal. At the angle I need (to avoid reflection off ceiling lights when I'm playing in a seated position) the desk slowly rolls forward and dumps my folder in my lap. If I tighten the nut with a spanner it will hold but it is then too tight to adjust the angle by hand if I need to, so my only option is to keep a spanner nearby or change the nut to a wing-nut to enable finger adjustment, which I ... MoreLittle disappointed actually. Way better than flimsy foldup stand I used to have. By comparison, this one is stable. I especially like the backward angle for easier reading and the music holder clips, which allow enough space for a book instead of just sheets.

Okay so Hercules products are simply the best out there. They are easy to assemble, very very durable, the EZ clutch is amazing BUT $79.00 for this stand!!!! Give me a break; there are similar products out there for a WAY LESS PRICE. I feel that hercules are like Dr Dre Beats Headphones "You pay for the brand" I still decided to give it 5 stars but their prices are ridiculous over exaggerating expensive.

Love that you can put pegs on the base of the stand that hold your instruments. The stand is very sturdy and easy to carry. The desk part folds. The base of the stand is wide and great for solo work or conductor. The base is too wide in my opinion for ensemble work.
This stand is truly well designed and well made. Very sturdy construction and filds down to a compact size. Would have been nice if it came with a carry bag. Extra bonus it has music holders in place that are spring loaded making music secure on the stand in windy outdoor locations. Other attachments available such as sax, clarinet, flute and trumpet stands can be attached to the stands base. I would highly recommend this product to musicians wanting a very sturdy well made stand.
A band-mate uses this exact stand...so I pretty much knew what I was getting into.The stand is strong, easily holding my light, a PA controller module and a waterbottle. The really important feature, however, is the foldable desk. When brokendown the desk fits nicely into my stand bag. That actually reduced my gig-gear byone separate item. That's fairly significant. Anything that simplifies our load-in andload-out is a blessing.Frank Chillemi
purchased sight unseen. excellent stand. the best. solid, adjustable. sturdy. you'd have to work hard to accidentally knock this one over in a performance. definitely not like the flimsy ones.
