Lovely cologne this one. If you like Hugo Boss's orange, you'll like this one better - or at least you ought to.The initial orange is a superb recreation, far different than the citrus top notes of many other perfumes. Strange that the notes list lemon and mandarin, but no actual orange. It took me several wearings before I could make out the mango, but like one of those magic eye 3D images, once you've got it, it reveals itself to you effortlessly. Soft and peachy. It's woody and earthy too when it develops. Luckily the middle and top notes never really disappear, they politely make way for the oakmoss and patchouli, but you keep bumping into them. All this winds down into a lovely, soft, powdery finale. Chic and refined.

Truly, I’m only using this daily to work because I don’t want to use my other colognes, and it was a gift. It smells like oranges and lemon (not to mention I love putting lemon on my food!). I spray about 3-5 pumps on my body - I kind of want to finish it so I can move in to my next cologne. It’s not a bad fragrance, it’s just that I can tell this is more alcohol than oil. I’m so used to Tom Ford colognes that I love the oil-based colognes rather than alcohols based. This is Hermès which is pricey but it doesn’t mean it’s great - I mean, sure I use it Monday-Friday but only for work. It’s my go-to cologne during work days but definitely not for nighttime. This is more of a morning/afternoon aroma that’s not very overwhelming. I’m more than halfway done with it which tells you that I do not hate it - it’s alright, just not really what I would prefer wearing. The scent isn’t distinctive - it’s just like any other cologne where you really cannot tell it’s Chanel No. 5 because it doesn’t really stand out.

Caleche is a lovely fragrance for the winter when the air is drier and lighter scents evaporate more quickly. I have been using it for a few years now as it is more subtle and interesting than most of the "modern" fragrances which are readily available in the high street shops.

Citrus lover for aftershave
23 March 2024

This is the first time I've tried this as I like a citrus smelling aftershave ( and it was on offer ) but even though it does have a very bitter orange smell to it, it wasn't for me I prefer Acqua di Parma Arancia di Capri which has a sweet orange smell to it.They both last about the same amount of time on the skin approx 4 - 5 hours but I find the sweet orange smell more pleasing than the bitter orange.

I Never Want To Run Out of Eau D'orange Verte!
26 January 2022

I use the eau de toilette as well as this scent of body lotion almost daily. It's very fresh, not too sweet or floral and the lotion is often just enough on its own. I spray sparingly warm spots on my body but try to get more of it on my clothes. Cloth seems to wear it longer than my skin. This is a fragrance that in this form could be overdone. The lotion, however, lingers all day and holds its own. Together, layered, I wear for a more special occasion. This is indeed an orange based scent but it doesn't smell strongly of the fruit as if you shredded the rind. Green is how I would describe this fragrance. It's like a walk in the woods with a small breeze blowing through the trees.

I found this fragrance by chance following a family vacation
25 March 2024

I found this fragrance by chance following a family vacation in Italy where the shower soap was a small tablet of "Eau D'Orange Vert" and I was instantly attracted to the fragrance. I am very selective with what fragrance I wear and consider it to be worthwhile to spend a little more. This fragrance is not widely publicised in the U.K - no advertising campaigns etc. My opinion is that it is so good, it doesn't need it. I have read other views on this fragrance and many people describe it as unisex - a view with which I would concur. Describing the fragrance to others is difficult - there is nothing else that is similar. There is a hint of spice and citrus that lasts very well - but it is not overpowering and, for me, makes this a man's fragrance. I want to buy this perfume again and again !
2 July 2022

I can say right away that this is not a fragrance for every day. I use it on vacation and on special occasions, depending on my mood. The best association will be with freshness and purity, something like this)Persistence is normal, sharpness in the aroma is not observed. Aroma composition:Amber, Orange, Basil, White cedar and Patchouli. I recommend this perfume to active and energetic people who are not used to using fragrances "like everyone else".Thank you for your attention to my review!

Smell disppointed
16 May 2024

Ordered on Monday, received package on Wednesday. Been exciting from the morning when I saw the email said it's out of delivery. Feel odd when I retried the box from locker because it was quite light considered it was a perfume. Brought it home and open it, saw a weird pink box said "Makeup Erasers," not even with a receipt or tag or anything, and not even close to what I ordered. Now I need to drop it off at the store and ask for refund and re-order it. I have trust issue now and will not do that. BIG disappointment at Nordstrom, you guys should just send me the perfume because you caused the inconvenience not me.

This used to be an exquisite product, with the elusive charm of green oranges. It is now austere with a touch of citrus. Shame on you Hermes; you had the ability to create greatness and you have the paucity of character to debase it.
