A faithful reissue of the original quest pack, converted to the NA ruleset. There are three new quests added to the beginning which incorporate the new arena battle system. The original seven quests are basically as they were before which means no new equipment to buy or new artifacts to find which is a shame. Items like a particular set of Chain Mail found in one quest could easily have made into an artifact. Or the heroes could have won an Ogre slaying weapon for finishing quest 3 to aid them in the battles ahead. This my only disappointment with this expansion.Everything else is great! The miniatures (particularly the archers and the big ogres) are awesome. The addition of the wolf miniature is very welcome. We finally have a nice card and miniature to use for Snowdasher in âInto the Northlandsâ! The new versions of the Druid hero are also a nice addition, since we all love new heroes or alternates of previously existing heroes.Overall, this looks like a great expansion, and I finally have a chance to play it after all these years. If you do pick this up, a Zargon player may want to throw in a couple homebrew artifacts so the heroes have something interesting to find on the way.

This expansion pack is really fun as it tells three new quest that werenât in the original. I love the versatility of this game as its great with adults as well as somewhat easily teaching to older children. Itâs a fun way to introduce the game similar to DND. The quality of the cards and the figures speak for themselves. I really love the addition of the miniature figures of wolf figure in particular as well as the Ogre Warrior sculpts.

This expansion builds upon an already great game and gives you more. More enemies, more heroes, more scenery, more options. Taking a classic expansion and updating it is what we wanted. Now we just hope for the last one to get updated as the wizard could use some love! :-)

I've been a life long fan of Heroquest, old and new. I never got a chance to get my hands on some of the expansions that were only sold in Europe in the 90s. And this one rocks! It's packed to the brim with stuff and the minis are of better quality and sculpt as with all of the expansions that have been released so far. They made something "old" new again with the changes made and the arena mode. All in all, it's a solid addition to the core game that builds on what Avalon Hill have been introducing!
Behold, the unstoppable Ogre! With this expansion, you can add ranged monsters, brutish warriors and mighty leaders to Zargons forces! Also included is a playable hero, the Druid!Though I did find the Arena rules a little strange, the overall expansion is a great addition to anyones HeroQuest collection!
We got a group of 20+ year olds and managed to have a blast playing this together. You can have up to five people play at the same time, two is minimum. Youâre battling at a tournament for the glory and gold! Itâs a quest pack, so you will need the Hero Quest game system, but I definitely recommend this quest pack. It was blast and we were victorious!!! đđ
This expansion is genuinely unique. It introduces new characters, the Ogres and the Druids, which are excellent supplements to the other hero races in the Heroquest Universe. Additionally, the concept of an Arena and having tournaments is something that can be used for any expansion. The miniatures are fabulous and will advance your collection. The quests are different than any other expansion thus far and I am excited to dive into the world of Ogres and Druids and once again defeat the evil influence of Zargon!
Hey! The Doors that move were really impressive!! And the size of the boss Ogres was unexpected, like how cool? I can't wait for more stand alone expansions. And hopefully some new quests on the App that intergrade all pieces of core and expansions together.Always ready for more!I also thought some element like fire or gas could help prevent stale questing battles in doorways.I also cannot contain my excitement for HEROSCAPE!!! I am a massive fan!
The idea of this game is great, i think itâs better for kids or teenagers instead of mobile games this one will give them the opportunity to actually interact person, i gave this four stars only because I received this for free and didnât know I should have the game system. I wanted this for my nephews but the game system is kinda expensive. So Iâll probably donate this. So if someone who has the game system found they can have it.
I was a kid when Heroquest was first launched and I was able to get Keller's Keep and Return of the Witch King in the US. Now that I have a chance to play the Ogre Horde expansion, I more the excited. As with the other expansions (well, core set as well), the quality of the figures and furniture are just outstanding! The expansion has an arena that allows for PvP.
