IF people will properly season their HexClad pans and skillets, they will have the most amazing experience with this cookware.I have several pieces of HexClad cookware that I use on my induction stovetop. The combination of induction cooking with HexClad's nonstick cookware produces delicious tasting, attractive food with reduced energy usage because the cookware doesn't require a lot of heat to get hot and it mains the heat well. The largest burner on my induction stovetop has hot & cool spots (it's one of the original induction range tops and is a bit old). I put the HexClad pan on the burner, turned to medium-low, and let it sit there heating up for about 4 minutes. I put the HexClad pan on the burner, turned to medium-low, and let it sit there heating up for about 4 minutes. The pan or skillet will be evenly heated and no longer do I have to deal with the hot/cool spot problem! Everything cooks evenly, no matter where it sits in the cookware.Clean-up is a breeze. Nothing sticks in the cookware because I properly seasoned it before I started using the pieces. It would be my recommendation for HexClad to send everyone who makes an online purchase the video of the guy in the blue shirt who begins with washing the new skillet and then demonstrates how to properly season the pan with avocado oil. The video is interesting to watch and he is interesting to listen to. I wish that I had a name for the guy in the blue shirt. I do know that he's not the CEO -- I've seen that video, also, and it's not as interesting to listen to, unfortunately.I cannot say enough good things about this cookware! It's attractive to look at. It is easy to cook with. It's amazingly easy to clean. It is well made. It is not inexpensive, but neither is a Rolls-Royce and in my opinion, this is the Rolls-Royce of cookware.I have several pieces of pricey, well-made cookware, but once I purchased HexClad, it IMMEDIATELY became my favorite because of its nonstick properties. Again I reiterate how important it is to properly season the pan!If food is sticking then you probably did one of two things: you either cooked on too high of a heat setting or you didn't properly season the pan.To properly season the pan, place it on the burner, turn the heat up to a little under medium heat (my induction range top cooks hot, so for me it was the 4th heat setting out of 12 -- as I say, mine cooks hot). Let the pan sit on the burner for 2 to 4 minutes and get the full pan evenly heated. Then, put 1 or 2 ounces of avocado oil in the pan. With a rubber spatula or a wooden spoon, constantly move the oil around ALL parts of the inside of the pan -- especially the bottom -- for about 4 or 5 minutes. Let the pan cool, then use a paper towel and wipe out the pan. If you want it really well seasoned, do the exact same thing another time or two.Your pan is now properly seasoned and your food will easily come out of the pan. (Your food will slip out of the pan as easily as Bambi slipped on the icy pond!)After the pan has cooled, give it a couple of swipes with a soapy dishcloth, rinse, dry and put it back in the attractive cloth bag it came in.This will be the last cookware I'll ever need (of course I'll add to my collection as they add pieces) and it will be able to be passed down to generations for other cooks to use -- no exaggeration, it's made that well.

I can say without reservation that Hexclad is easy to use in that it doesn’t have the weight of my Le Creuset and Staub pieces (nor the heat retention though) and stands up to what ever utensils you use, unlike Le Creuset/Staub, and very nearly cleans itself because the surface is so incredibly non stick! This is to say nothing of the beauty and quality craftsmanship of the pieces. The detail is just gorgeous in addition to being functional. I still love my Le Creuset for soups and Dutch oven dishes, but I’m Hexclad all the way otherwise. Highly recommend!

I approached this purchase with a healthy dose of skepticism. How many times have we been sold on the “last pan you’ll ever need!” I also was feeling uneasy about my current non stick pans. I absolutely LOVE my cast iron pans but have reached an age where they are feeling very heavy for the amount of cooking I do. Dare I say it? Dare I BELIEVE it? These may literally be the last pans I need!! If they hold up over time I’m gonna be ecstatic over this purchase. I also received the 10” wok as a bonus. Unboxing them you immediately feel the difference. The quality is evident right down to the fit of the lids and the quality of the handles. Nice weight to them but not too heavy. I washed and seasoned them as directed. Then I cooked my first steak. ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. ... MoreI approached this purchase with a healthy dose of skepticism. I washed and seasoned them as directed. Then I cooked my first steak. ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. The result was what I get from my cast iron but at a lower temp which was surprising. I’m hooked. To be able to use warm soapy water afterwards without ruining the seasoning is much appreciated. Metal utensils won’t harm them? This is against everything I know. I feel like I’m cheating on my cast iron but I’ve changed and it didn’t. It’s not my fault. I’m still not convinced I need the pots. I’m completely indifferent about giving my non stick pans their long overdue eviction notice…they’ve been nothing but a carousel of disappointment. I’m gonna keep my cast iron just in case this ends up another flash in the pan.
Over the years, we probably spent over a $1,000 on nonstick frying pans. My husband didn’t like using anything else, but when they got scratched, I had to toss them out. Literally, we were purchasing one or two new pans a year. This time, I decided to upgrade to Hexclad and hopefully will never have to buy frying pans again. We’ve had these pans for a couple of weeks or so, and we are enjoying using them. I’m relieved that my husband likes the pans because they are easy to clean and he is very picky. I like that they come with a little bag for each pan for storing. I do believe that if you want your eggs to slide around like they advertise, you will probably need to use some butter, but so far, I am happy with our purchase. Read the instructions (lower heat) and you should have no problem. I always treat all my cookware like my good knives and prefer not to put them in the dishwasher, and have not had a problem cleaning them. My husband even burned food on the bottom of one pan and I was able to scrub it out easily. If these pans hold up well, I may pull the trigger and buy the matching pot set.
I was excited to receive the 6 piece pan set as well as a 14” pan and lid, which I intended to gift to my wife for Christmas! When the boxes were delivered, however, I immediately noticed that in big bold letters on the boxes it was clearly stated that these pans are all made in the Peoples Republic of China; in other words, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) China! Excitement immediately turned to disappointment and disgust! Can’t we make anything in our own country anymore that we can trust? I would have gladly paid more to see the words: “Proudly Made in the USA”. Now I really have concerns about what was used to make these pans and/or coatings. The CCP is our mortal enemy and they want nothing less than to destroy us. Other products have proven how the CCP poisons us ... MoreI was excited to receive the 6 piece pan set as well as a 14” pan and lid, which I intended to gift to my wife for Christmas! So far, so amazing! I almost didn't buy them due to the bad reviews about eggs sticking, etc. but made my first juevos rancheros and scrambled eggs this weekend and had zero issues. I have been vacillating back and forth if I wanted to buy even more pans, and I already had anything under the sun... green pans, non-stick pans (not), a wok, 12" pans, 10" pans, you name it. Some came without a lid and I forever had to find the right one that would fit, you name it. It took a leap of faith that this time it would work out. I am so grateful I jumped in and got the 6pc HexClad Hybrid Cookware Set w/Lids. I tossed out all my other pans, except the cast iron ones I will use on the BBQ grill, and I am very pleased with my purchase! They are very easy to season, and they perform just like HexClad is advertising. I never had a set of pans that would work on the stove and also were able to sustain up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit in the oven, so this was very new to me. Just make sure you use an oven mit after you put one of your pans in the oven and then touch the handle. I did, and it still retained all the heat, even after dinner, so I burned my hand. I instantly dowsed my hand with essential oil of lavender, and there was just some discomfort for a few days, but no lasting damage. This was a lesson, but I am thrilled at the versatility of these pans. You can use them on any stove or in an oven. The handles truly stay cool when using them just on the stove, including the lid handles. I just ordered them and are trying them out, but so far, they have been amazing, and I can very much recommend them to anyone that is on the fence like I was.
Not sure how every review is 5 stars but it must be because no one has ever received a gift or had to contact customer support because if they had there’s NO WAY anyone is giving them 5 stars!!!!! It’s absolutely ridiculous that there’s no way to talk to a person, although that would be fine if I could resolve the issue via email. We are now 10+ days past Christmas and still no resolution or even any progress. I received 2 pans as a gift for Christmas. After checking out the website I decided I wanted to purchase a complete set because I’ve been wanting to replace my cookware anyway, but all sets have the 2 pots I was gifted. I obviously don’t need 2 of the same pot so I wanted to return the 2 I received for credit to use towards a set or maybe have them just deduct ... MoreNot sure how every review is 5 stars but it must be because no one has ever received a gift or had to contact customer support because if they had there’s NO WAY anyone is giving them 5 stars!!!!! I obviously don’t need 2 of the same pot so I wanted to return the 2 I received for credit to use towards a set or maybe have them just deduct the value those 2 pots towards the purchase of a set and ship the remaining items. I was completely open to literally any other suggestion as well but customer service basically said I gave NO OPTIONS other than keeping the pots and then making an additional purchase. They don’t offer credit or returns for gifts. Apparently they will only credit to the original purchasers credit card. I’m not going to ask someone to give me money for a gift I want to return. How rude!!!! So much for great customer service!!!! What company doesn’t want to make additional sales???? You’d think they’d be happy that after research I want an entire set. I’m sure some other company would be more than happy to take my money!!!!!!!
I love these pans and pots. For me the only flaw is they easily discolor. It is simple to correct and clean up. That being said... these are not your typical "nonstick" cookware. Not teflon or lightweight pans, this is a non-stick version of cast iron only prettier. They are a cross between non-stick & cast iron. Heavy, even cooking, lower heat is all you need to get most cooking done and yet, they can handle high settings for the "stirfry" & quick "sear", they are also amazing for the "fried" foods like fish and chips! The higher temps heat the oil to an optimal temperature for frying. We did follow the instructions for seasoning and noted the mention by the company, more uses the stronger the "seasoning" becomes. We have used metal utensils, no worries there. ... MoreI love these pans and pots. For me the only flaw is they easily discolor. The handles on the lids do stay touchable for most of the times I have used them, but on higher heats, they can get quite warm. I have found all this to be pretty much as represented.Have heated and "burnt" to the bottom a couple of things like soup & eggs, put a bit of water into the pan and the "stuck" washed right off, no scrubbing required, back to the “non-stick”, this is the pretty much part.Use Barkeep's for the discoloration and a scotchbrite scrubbie to remove it & rinse, it cleans right up, no scratching. For my needs & expectations, I am very pleased with this cookware & I happily recommend it to others looking for the same, a heavier, even heating, mostly non stick, long lasting cookware. Nothing to rub off or wear off as Teflon seems to do.I have tried others, like Copper Chef and found them to be a disappointment, very lightweight and not suited for all the types of cooking I do. HexClad is expensive, but if they give me the next 20 years of excellent performance they were worth every penny. If you are someone who likes “Teflon” type non stick, lighter weight cookware, this will not be your cup of tea.
