I'm about to purchase another of these bags. I bought the same model nine years ago, and it has travelled with on a weekly basis for work, as well as numerous overseas holidays. Mine has had a rough life, dragged through desert conditions regularly, on and off planes etc, and has only just had one failed zipper. Exceptional quality. I also like that I can spot it easily on airport carousels. If I remember correctly, I originally bought it because of the straps that convert it to a backpack, but I haven't used that function once in nine years 😂

Purchased on advice from a friend for a vacation where a "solid" suitcase wasnt a wise option. Beside purchasing on a 40 % off sale (incredible) I am beyond happy with size, multiple compartments and options on way to carry/maneuver.

Took 5 medium high Sierra back packs around Japan. They were on high shelves on bullet trains, in and out of planes and stations up stairs and escalators. We move to 9 different accommodations in 3 weeks. We flogged these bags! The bags didn't miss a beat. Fabric and zippers are sturdy. Easy to pack, easy to spot at the baggage carousel in the airport, easy to manoeuvre in busy stations, as you are pulling the bag on two wheels from behind. My only issue is packed over 15kg and all that moving and lifting strained my wrist. But I over packed. The sizing of the medium and small bags are perfect for flight baggage restrictions for Qantas Finnair and Singapore Airlines, which have recently become more restrictive. I travelled with this suitcase for three weeks through Europe. It was lightweight and a great size for summer travel, but probably too small in the winter for coats and bulky clothes. The suitcase is of a good, sturdy build with robust seams and clean zips. It was easily identifiable at baggage pickup. It was also thin enough to be placed on the overhead racks on European racks, which are not suitable for most medium and large hardshells.The only real con is that the shoulder straps are more like a backpack than a hiking bag, so your lower back is quite poorly supported. I'd use the straps sparingly. If you think you'll be carrying your bag for the entire trip, I would go with a proper hiking backpack over something like this.
So far i have taken this bag on the road for 2 months in Spain and Portugal, planes, trains, buses and cars, with lots of old cobbled streets. It has handled it all really well. Rolls and carries well. I love that i can carry it on it's side or near the rolling handle.No tears or issues with zippers so far, am on day 70 of 120.The only thing i find i don't use much is the separate shoe pocket. Better to pack up shoes in main compartment and make better use of the space.
Fantastic, flexible bag for international travel by air/bus/taxi. Has extendable capacity and can be wheeled, carried or worn as a backpack. Versatile and extremely durable. Can highly recommend.
Perfect sized bag for that overseas travel where you need a little more space but not a ridiculously oversized bag that becomes difficult to move.Love the ieda of being able to carry, e=wheel or use as a backpack.

The wheels are sturdy and tacks well in any environment, also the added benefit of the back straps is great. The shoe compartment is a great idea.Some cons. The front compartment is big and deep, however access via the zipper could be improved. It would be better if the front compartment zipper opened up more for easier access, sort of acting as a zippable flap, or if access to this front compartment could be accessed from the inside. Honestly I don't find it good for much, could fit my warm coat in there and a few other items and that was it.
