The clothesline arrived a couple of weeks ago and I did need help with putting the clothesline together especially the first couple of steps but after that it was smooth sailing. A little hint, there are a couple of Reviews online that have wonderful instrustions.I am a 70yo female Aged Pensioner with no Super and am paying off a mortgage, it has taken a couple of years to save for the clothesline.Thank you so much as I have a couple severe medical conditions which make it hard to hang the clothes. It has been hard going outside and using the old clothesline which has rusted and leaves marks on the clothing.Thamls once again for this beautiful clothesline

This portable clothes line is an absolute lifesaver. The rain that seems to be never-ending this year has seen me using the dryer constantly, which is costing a fortune. This clothes line easily hold two loads of washing, as well as sheets and towels without them sitting on the floor. I haven’t used the dryer since it arrived.Straight forward to assemble, and folds down and stores away easily. I honestly couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Some pros and consPros:Large can fit a good amount of clothes compared to cheaper linesI like that the lines are thin as opposed to thickLight and easy to store and move insist/outsideCons:It came with small imperfections like scratch marks on the line and it was dirtyThe legs seem flimsy making the clothesline wobbly. Wish the legs clipped into place and were abit thickerOverall I am happy with this product and still glad I purchased it. Line space is generous and perfect for washing baby clothes + other small things. Haven't washed an adult load so can't comment on the stability of that. I imagine a heavier load might make the clothesline a little more stable

What a great investment! A great option for drying items when the weather is poor or they're not suitable for the dryer.Some things I found disappointing were:1. They don't fit a queen bed sheet as stated. There is over a foot of sheet that needs to be folded over, meaning I have to readjust once or twice during drying2. The part in the instructions about not pulling the line too tight comes AFTER they tell you to cut it. So we had to undo, re-tie and we now have a knot in the line from reattaching the cut off line3. The lever to release the legs to fold/unfold is so hard that, most times, I have to get help to do it which is frustrating and not always practical
Buying this was the best renovation I ever did. Now we use only this little beauty. We can easily move it under cover if it rains. It holds 2 or more full full washing loads, and can fit QS sheets. No reaching up so its good for those with shoulder problems.It hasn’t blown over in the 6 months we have been using it.We permanently decommissioned the old inaccessible permanent line that kept whacking my head on.Assembly was easy, but the small clip-on line covers don’t stay on, so I cable-tied them on. Thats the only small complaint from me. Otherwise it would be 5 stars.

I didn’t realise how big it was till we pulled it out of shipping box, but so glad I brought this size.I can fit a whole 9kg load of washing on the airer (family of 4) with ease and clothes have breathing room. It is light weight and sturdy. My old airer kept falling over from weight of clothes on it.Only negative I have is, it is a bit awkward to fold up and down given how big it is. Was needing a light weight yet strong alternative to the big outside clothesline which is exposed to bad weather . I needed a second person to help me assemble but I have severe hand arthritis . Once up.. it is a dream . I keep undercover in the patio area and take it out into sun when required . No more needing the dryer on rainy days . Definitely recommend this clothesline
Very hard to assemble, the componentry was stiff to release the legs, required to assemble, catches remain stiff and unworkable to put the line up or collapse for storage. I am fit, strong & healthy but I have to get my son has to do this for me. Storage bracket works very well, once line collapsed it hangs away nicely as is light. I have put the bracket over a rafter in the crashed. I would've rated higher but cannot operate the line by myself and I am usually independent strong and fit. Be ok if you had an area that was protected form high wind that you could leave it up all the time. Has a good warranty period so that would indicate it is built for purpose
I’ve been loving my new clothes line. I held off for a long time buying a new one, my old one was broken but my husband was convinced it was great (even though he never used it haha). I took the plunge and ordered it.Now my clothes are spaced out and able to dry, we use large towels and they don’t touch the ground or bunch up, they dry super fast. I also love that there are hooks for hangers, I can hang my shirts and they stay secured and don’t fall off.I use my clothes dryer every day and I actually enjoy using it.
The Hills Portable 170 Clothesline is the best portable clothesline we have ever had. It is very easy to assemble and once assembled easy to fold and store. The long runs allow you to dry several sheets and the overall capacity of the lines is excellent, it will take 2 full machine loads of mixed items very nicely. The lightweight materials it is made of mean that its very easy to move, especially for older users, you don't have to fold it up to move it. The dimensions also make it very suitable for indoor use. As I said, its our best buy this year.
