My kitten loves this product, and we've been feeding him this since he has gotten home. Only after purchasing 10kg bag did I realise that this (and the brand) isn't as good as it's made out to be. Yes, the food is still good, but it is definitely not worth its price. The 2nd & 3rd ingredients are literally Brown Rice & Wheat Gluten. There is no perfect food, but cats are not supposed to be eating grains & veggies. I'm torn because my cat loves it, but it isn't the best possible thing I could be giving him, and the price is not supported by the ingredient list. At least this product does not use meal & by-product like their other foods, so be careful.

I first purchased the Whiska dry food for kitten, it smells so bad. I though my kitten doesn't like dry food, but it turns out that she doesnt like whiska food. I buy this Hills Dry Food for kitten and she loves it the second I just open the bag!!! She finishes every piece of it! Hills dry food doesnt smell bag and contains lots of minerals for kitten growth. I'm glad that she enjoys eating dry food on her own so I dont need to mix in 2 types of food for her ^.^

Contains grain - do not give to cats

Cats are pure carnivores (unlike dogs) and should not ever be eating grains, which are the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th-listed ingredients here. Hills has vets' "seal of approval" but Hills sponsors vet training courses (see ABC report from 2015) so that's what vets are trained to recommend. I ignore my vet when she tells me to feed my cats Hills. MyPetWarehouse has lots of grain-free options at good prices. I recommend choosing them instead.

Fantastic dry food for cats

Hills science diet is a fantastic pet food brand I have used this brand from time to time for 15 yrs... my cats have always loved it and I have always noticed when they eat this dry food they end up with a nice shiny coat....I recently brought the kitten chicken flavour recipe and our new kitten loves it too! I would highly reccommend this dry kitten food.

Favourite for foster kittens

My foster kittens never had much interest in dry food until I started swapping out the current kibble they had to snack on for this product. They adore it but still need to remember to actually chew the kibble before swallowing. Hopefully their tummies won't get upset but any other pets I've had haven't had any digestive upsets from Hills products.

Good product, terrible delivery

It's a good product and I've been using it for my kittens. The one I had was running low. I've ordered it from pet circle as it was 1-2 dollar cheaper and the eta was 3-5 May. Guess what, today is the 11th of May and I still haven't received it. I had to get another bag from an offline shop. The exact same thing happened with the litter I ordered from pet circle. Not worth ordering from pet circle.

Great as a treat

I use this, and alternate it with the Science Diet Indoor Kitten dry food, as a treat for my kittens. They start their day with a small snack of this dry food (about 15 pellets, not a meal) as breakfast, and their main meals at lunch and dinner time is the Science Diet Kitten wet food. The pellets are a good size to pop a few into puzzle toys, and the kittens love it, so I have also found it useful as a training treat for them. I instantly have their attention when I say treats, and am holding 4 or 5 pellets for training.. they come running when they hear me say it.

Hills Science Kitten Food 5 kg

I was very happy with the speed of delivery - 2 days - thank you. For some reason my 5 month old cat is not really fond of the food. He enthusiastically ate the same brand I bought in a smaller amounts from the RSPCA but he is rejecting this bulk lot. Is the formula different or even 'budget' since there is a considerable price difference?

This cat food was recommended by my cats vet. They have lean body, so I think it has less fats. They are 7 mos old now and we bought 4 10kg of this bag. They love it.

We have a ginger brute, a year old, reasonably trim and powerful. He is a spoilt tabby and has all of the best; toys, bed (ours), companion doggo and food. Charlie only like Hills and was fed Hills since the RSPCA rescue time. It's a great diet with little waste, cause he's only fed, well, a little and seems absolutely besotted by his crunchy B, L & D
