It's a wearable bike lock - ideal for carrying when you don't want to have a bag, or attach to the bike. Seems well made and sturdy, easy to use and comfortable to wear.

Bike stolen

I purchased this lock for my sons bike for university & his bike has been stolen. Thieves seem to have burnt through the lock as the part of the piece left on the floor has melted. Not happy at all havent paid a lot of money for a lock which I thought was heavy duty!

Good for what I need it for.

I was looking for a while for a lock and decided to order the lite wearable chain. I only need to to chain it up outside work which is already in a gated area so low risk of theft. I think it's string enough. I really like the padlock. It would take extra time to line bolt cutters up to try cut it

Good solution to Perennial Problem

The Perennial Problem is that bike insurance usually relies upon you padlocking your bike to an immovable object when out and about. I bought this for use with an MTB E bike where the weight around your waist is far less of an issue than with a road bike. I must admit I don't notice it when wearing and might even consider using for road bike. However this is the Lite version. The chain and lock are not gold Standard, but will deter the opportunist thief.

Good, but not quite perfect.

Easy to wear and saves space in my rucksack, but don't get it anywhere near your chain, or it will transfer to your clothing.Couple of niggles:1 - as per other reviews, the lock is a bit fiddly to use. The velcro gets a bit in the way of the end of the chain, but not too bad. The fact the shackle is quite short means it's harder to break with some techniques.2 - the padlock feels cheap. Shackle rattles and is flappy when unlocked - would have given another star for a more solid feel to that.I bought it for nipping around on local errands, where bike isn't left unattended for long, and works well for that, which is what it's intended for. I'd use something beefier for all day at the station or out of sight.

Great lock

I have had this item about a month and am very pleased with it.It's comfortable and easy to wear, and the lock /chain feel sturdy. I feel confident leaving my bike locked with this.The chain isn't very long though, so check the size before buying. It's about the same length as my old D lock, but being flexible it can be used to fix to wider objects I wouldn't have been able to use the D lock on. I find the key a bit fiddly, over a combination lock, but I guess this is the price you pay for having a more secure lock.I would definitely recommend this lock

Hiplok lite wearable bicycle lock and chain.

I really like this lock, I can wear around my waist or ever my shoulder. I don't even notice it when it's around my waist. I prefer it much more than bulky U locks or standard chains with a lock. You won't be disappointed IMO.

Reliable

Really good lock. I like the fact it comes with 3 keys. Really good feature to be able to wear it if your bag is full. I find it more comfortable to wear over one shoulder and across the chest than around my waist.

Super convenient to use

Love this lock, it makes carrying my bike lock around so much easier. I was a little curious at first about how it would feel to wear a chain around your waist, but its so comfortable that I forgot it was there half way through my ride. And this lock meets my bike insurance requirements too!

Surprisingly light lock!

I use this lock for short stops in town or anywhere I want a lock but don't need something too heavy duty. For it's size this looks like a real deterrent but it's really easy to wear and ride with. Weighs absolutely nothing!
