7 Stars for Energy Efficiency and Excellent Customer Service from The Good Guys

I've had this fridge a few weeks now and am very happy with its functionality. The fact it was the most energy efficient fridge available on the Australian market at the time of purchase -- almost being carbon neutral -- swayed me hugely. The fact it is only available in a dark colour wasn't ideal - perhaps a white version would also give customers better aesthetic choice. Then again, saving the planet is not an aesthetic matter!

7 Stars for efficiency but so so use of internal space

Can't go past something this efficient. I was very surprised to see the low power use numbers even compared to something 5 Stars. So why only a 4 star ratingThe internals are very bland. Not a lot of thought seems to have gone into using this on a daily basis. The bottom shelf is full depth and at its bottom level just isn't really high enough.Pushing it up to the next slide in lips means the shelf above is like 5cm.Perhaps an extra crisper draw and 1 less shelf higher up from the bottom may have been better.

Good fridge but one major flaw

While it seems like a great deal, especially given the 7-star energy rate, there is a major design/manufacturing flaw the doors. First thing I noticed and then read about in another customers review was that the doors will not close automatically. Its not a matter of tilting the fridge or adjusting the leveling. The door itself has some sort of a stop/break mechanism that prevents it (!) from shutting unless you push really hard - or should I say slam An when it reaches that stop/break point the alarm will not go off. Its easy to miss and as a result have to throw everything out. Especially if you have kids, no matter how many times you tell them I mean, a fridge door should close automatically, i shouldnt have to bother about it. That was my first red flag. So I start observing the doors. To my surprise I realize that every time you close the door (top or bottom) the other door bounces open just a tiny bit! Second red flag for a fridge I bought 1450 dollars. That is just ludicrous!

Great features compared to our old ones
1 January 2023

Love the colour, size and efficiency. The shelves etc are all great as well. Only downside is the icetray. We like ice. The amount of room it takes up for the small cubes hardly seems worth it. We've created our own system but we shouldn't need to. It's going to bug us.

Great fridge!
28 June 2023

This is a seriously great fridge. Super efficient, and super quiet. It is always making a very minor low noise, rather than kicking in and making a fuss for a couple minutes every half hour as some fridges do. Honestly, we barely ever hear it. The only downside to this fridge is the door closing/alarm - the door, if you don't put too much force into closing it, sometimes doesn't completely close, and will stay ajar. However, the alarm also won't go off at this point, as the light is off and I guess the door is considered "closed", which obviously is not ideal. We learnt the hard way (losing lots of food that expired far before it's best before) to double check the fridge is closed, especially if you won't be using it again for a little while. Great product - Some design issues/flaws
3 May 2023

Brought it for the 7 Star energy rating. Well constructed outside, looks nice and is very quiet so great in a small apartment. Only criticism is regarding the Ice Tray. Can not remove and tip handle latch snapped off on first day. Also to fill you need to open the fridge door to access the tray easily.Seals well, stays nice and cold and freezes fast.

Had-To-Get ASAP fridge
20 September 2023

Love the 7-star rating the fridge is also sleek and well designed with the range of shelf heights I need for large jars of homemade sauerkraut and other pickles, the salad drawer is a good size and easy to find food in and the freezer compartment just right for me. The fridge and freezer both chilled down well and hold the temperature well love the zone temperature display! This fridge is also one of the quietest Ive ever come across and one of the easiest to slide out, for cleaning. Very Impressed!

Hisense 7 star rating
9 January 2023

Very satisfied with this purchase. Easy to use and looks amazing. Theyve thought of everything with the design. Deep shelves, plenty of storage in door for various size bottles and jars. Temperature control is simple to use. Note there is no egg tray provided and freezer drawers are limited but I was restricted in getting a bigger fridge, so something Im ok with.

The first fridge with a 7 star energy rating
15 April 2023

This Hisense Fridge is very quiet when running, its so quiet you dont hear it turning on or off, the led light inside starts at a low light and increases the brightness, which is great at night so your not being blinded by a bright light straight away, the glass shelves are great, the freezer has a nice handy ice cube tray which has a lever you turn dropping the ice cubes into a tray below, its so easy and no mess the freezer drawers roll out and in easy. The height is not as tall as other fridge freezers allowing it to fit under overhead cabinets. We are very happy with our purchase. Also a nice discount for cash.

Works great, a bit noisy though
10 February 2023

Seems to cool well, colour is nice, I haven't had a power bill yet so don't know about the efficiency (though hopefully the 7 stars rating is real). Something I notice is the fridge doesn't seem to get hot at all (on the outside) when operating so this might suggest a high efficiency. The only downside is that it's a somewhat noisy fridge while operating. It has also started to occasionally make a distinctive 'plop' sound when it switches on something internal. It's not enough to really bother me, but does detract slightly overall.
