I have only had this fridge a few days but am loving it, the motor is very quiet running. The water dispenser tank takes up very little door space, leaving plenty of shelving on the door for tall bottles and smaller jars.The adjustable shelves give you perfect storage spaces for all sizes of product. Loving the icy cold water from dispenser. Having the temperature controls on the outside of fridge door is a bonus.

We like the size of this fridge. Filling up the door water dispenser is quick & easy. The crisper with it's easily adjusted divider slides in & out easily when it is packed full. The Fresh Zone at the top of the fridge is handy, as you can easily get to the items at the back as it slides forward. The shelves seem nice & thick. We would buy this fridge again.

I purchased this online- and it was delivered and then started leaking water within 3 days. I thought it may have been left open- but got worse. Day 7 and my kitchen is flooding. Call up- Good guys say- cant help you call the manufacturer. Multiple calls and an email after falling with a baby on the water it leaks and still no resolve. Dont do it.
Had to replace a unit of under 5 years of age in a hurry. There is no better way than choosing Appliances Online to help. My new fridge has all the features I want, top mount, special chilled area, good lighting, easy to operate and understand digital temp. controls. Built quality is very good, however the fridge could not be called solid, as shelves and lids etc. are of a minimum quality.
This fridge hasn't been a good choice for us. We have had to contact Hisense under warranty the first year we purchased and then also Product Care with issues of freezing contents of the fridge, no matter where we put items, food going off quicker than expected, overheating and temperature issues, mold in unreachable areas and the finish on the front of the doors is coming off which makes it look dated and old.As it was after the manufacturer’s warranty had ended and closer to the end of our insurance policy it felt like we were brushed off and told that it was normal for fridges to do this but cannot believe that it is considered normal for fruit and veges to be frozen causing them to perish and even a cream style sauce I made had frozen sections in it when we ... MoreThis fridge hasn't been a good choice for us. Forgot to order the separate installation service with the delivery but it was managable with 3 people. Would have been nice to have this installation service prompt during the ordering process. Ice box maker (removable) and cool water dispenser were well-used good features for the summer. You can adjust the temperature from the door or keep it at eco mode. Found the freezer was icing up at eco mode so making temo warmer was good. Happy with the size and simple sleek design of the doors which opens and seals well. To pull out the lower fruit box fully the door must be opened wide about120 degrees, check you have anough behind the door space.
First time I bought a cheap fridge and guess what you get what you pay for I believe. In the very first week after delivery, i noticed that the door doesn't close properly, it stops, you have to really push to close it. I called customer service with a video file sent via email as requested, advised me to raise the fridge by 10 degrees. I did that but the problem is still there. now no response from them (Ticket no102905094). 2 weeks later, one of the shelf covers (Fresh zone) came off, I looked at it and saw that the one the hinges were broken. we have not pulled hard or kept anything there that would cause this damage. Seems like the shelving is made up of very poor-quality plastic. A good fridge is an investment in lower power costs and less food wastage. This fridge rates very well on those qualities and in most other features. My only disappointment is ack of freedom to rearrange the glass shelves and the shelves on the door. Also, the top to the water reservoir doesnt sit properly so if you open the door too quickly, water comes out of the open end of the reservoir. Overall, Im not unhappy with my investment in the Hisense 496L Top Mount Refrigerator
