It is not true 4K and the refresh rate is set to 75Hz, so you won’t get the best experience for playing on a PS5 or Xbox Series console. If you want all of that I mentioned plus 4K at 120Hz, I recommend you be prepared to spend a bit more in the more premium versions of Hisense TVs or other reputable brands.

I would definitely recommend this Hisense 4K TV.

DISAPPOINTED

This was the first experience I’ve had with Google TV, and I did not like it at all. There were apps pre-downloaded that couldn’t be uninstalled, and there really wasn’t much free space on the hard drive for the ones that I normally use. So I ended up plugging in my ROKU and FIRECUBE so I could watch what I wanted. But if that would have been the only issue, I could have dealt with that. But I had issues with the television since Day 1. The picture would randomly go black for a quick second, and then come back on. I never knew when it was going to happen. Additionally, there were “fluctuations” going on in the picture on occasion that was hard not to notice (I don’t have a ceiling fan, so it’s not a shadow). I really had high hopes for this television, because it’s Hisense, and the Hisense 55” it was supposed to replace is still going strong after almost 4 years. I thought about just purchasing an extended warranty and having it repaired, but a brand new television should NOT be having issues right out of the box, so I returned it. (I tried to upload video clips showing the issues I’m referring to, but it will only allow me to upload pictures, which don’t show the problems.) It’s unfortunate, because the picture itself was beautiful, and the 75” size was like having my own personal movie theater, so I’m really disappointed that this fell short of the expectations I had of the Hisense brand.

Good price; Poor panel

I believe this tv HAS the potential to be great, but it falls short in a major area. I was looking for an affordable option to replace our old TCL tv that went out. This Hisense made, well, sense, pun intended. The price looked right and the in store model looked promising. Fast forward 3 hrs. We get the tv home, hooked up, and with a decent looking picture. After about an 1.5 hrs of use, we changed the input to see how it looked with one of our gaming systems and out of nowhere, a blue line shot up the center of the screen vertically and stayed there. Mind you, it was set up exactly as shown in manual with extreme caution as to not damage the display panel. I attempted to reset the tv, unplug it, and even look at Hisenses website for troubleshooting. I attempted to reset the tv, unplug it, and even look at Hisenses website for troubleshooting. The only info I found is that it could be a bad TCON board which requires repair that can be more expensive than the tv itself is. This seemed to be a lingering issue in the tv forums of certain manufacturers. So, back to Best Buy we went for a return. As always, BB is extremely easy to work with on returns and the gentlemen that helped me turned it on to confirm the issue I explained to him and he agreed it was defective. The tv and warranty were both returned without issues further. I’d say if funds are tight and you like gambling, this MAY be the right tv for you if you get a good one. If you have the cash, I’d opt for a more reliable manufacturer. I ended up going with a 50” LG ThinQ A1 and couldn’t be happier now with an amazing tv.

I purchased this TV a few weeks ago. It was delivered by FedEx, it took a few days. The box was in good shape, no major dents or holes in it. No cracked screen. I wanted the 50 inch model as it has a VA panel, it has much better contrast than the ISP panel which is in all other models of the A6H series. The VA panel works better if your looking straight at the screen, the ISP panel is much clearer at side views. I had to purchase legs for the center (wall mount holes) so i didn't have to change my TV stand. The TV takes a lot of tweeking to get a great picture, You really have to go into the picture settings and adjust everything to your taste. There are many picture and sound settings and it can take time. Be patient. I am using the optical audio port for my Vizio sound bar, the sound is very good. To run 4K you need really good download speeds, 25 to 50 Mbps, recommended by Netflix and Amazon or you may run into problems. Picture quality, buffering, so on. I have 100 Mbps. So, not too bad. The Google OS isn't that bad, it's cluttered, some bloatware. Works O.K. I do prefer Roku. It's my first time using Google TV and it could use some updates in the future. A lot of people complain about the picture quality, that's because most TV stations still broadcast in SD or HD only, not 4K. You need to find 4K channels that show movies and TV shows in 4K HDR and Dolby Vision. New content from NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, Amazon, Netflix, so on. And then this TV shines. Can't speak to longevity but so far, not to bad for $250.00.

So my sister and me got new TV's at roughly the same time. Like within a month of each other. Ok, so I can't help but compare, especially as we're both on a budget and went with quality budget brands who from what I've seen are frequently pitted against each other. She got this Hisense TV and I got a 58 inch TCL TV. Other than a 3 inch size difference, which is almost totally negligible BTW, is comparing brands. Neither of us had either brand before, we both went entirely off of a few reviews, store recommendations and best bang for the buck. Her's was sale priced at $280 and mine was sale priced at $340. So it wasn't long until we seen each other's TV and was able to compare. Her's really isn't a bad TV, she made a good choice, but at the same time, even she realized that she could've done better for roughly the same cost. While again her's isn't bad, it's also nothing special. Pretty much the definition of meh. Whereas my TCL does well all around night or day (and several windows gives me tons of daylight during the day affecting my viewing conditions) giving a nice picture regardless of circumstances. Sound is about the same for both. Neither will blow you away and both will probably have you at least considering a soundbar, but both are also sufficient for 99% of scenarios, though you may have to turn the volume up a good bit in some cases. Still, the point is that there's better for roughly the same price. Sure this is a decent TV, but if you're out to get the most out of your money, TCL at this time has a distinct edge. Oh, and I almost forgot, I got a TCL series 4 model. Definitely baseline for a bigger TV from them much as is this Hisense, so it's not as though one of us bought the lowest end model available and the other got the very best and then did a comparison. No, their, supposedly both these companies most basic offerings and so are very comparable. Get a Hisense if you plan to get a better model of theirs, those are a solid choice. But if you can only get the basic model, then a TCL series 4 is what you should really be shopping for.

Solid value Google TV
3 December 2022

Great TV for the value! I mainly got the TV as I am heavily invested in the Google atmosphere. Wide arrange of streaming apps available and when you power on the TV, it's like a giant library of recommendations from each ecosystem of streaming library. I'm able to cast Youtube from my PC or phone while the TV is powered off and it will start right up to the video. The Google Assistant button on the remote even works while the TV is off! Sometimes I even use that compared to my Google Home as it is quicker to boot. I did need to fine tune it. Overall solid purchase and I'm enjoying it despite the cons listed.

TERRIBLE PICTURE QUALITY
11 January 2023

Bought for my parents as a holiday gift. Was immediately disappointed with the factory picture setting. We spent forever trying to fiddle with the picture settings to get a decent picture. It was grainy, then it was bland (no color), then it was too much saturation. No matter what we did we couldn’t find that sweet spot. We found reviews that described good settings for Hisense TVs and those were better but still nowhere close to decent. Maybe I’m spoiled with my Samsung but I don’t ever remember having this poor video quality, and I’ve owned many different brands. I begged them to let me return it and get them a better one but that’s already set up the apps and it was already mounted. They didn’t want to deal with the hassle of returning it. But it honestly bothers me so much that I’m considering just buying them a new one anyway and doing the work to mount it and set it up myself. I’m that let down with this tv. Don’t waste your money…picture quality is terrible!

Unbelievable Picture Quality

The picture quality is stunning. The colors are vibrant and the detail is crisp. The built-in operating system is easy to use and comes with all of the popular streaming apps pre-installed, such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video. It is easy to connect all devices, such as the soundbar and gaming console. The TV comes with a voice-controlled remote, which makes it easy to search for content and control. It also has advanced smart features, such as support for Google Assistant (but we have not used that feature yet). Last thing we need is for the kids to realize they can tell Google to turn the tv on! If you are looking for a TV with advanced smart features and good looks this is the one for you. I was a bit weary going with something different than our usual SONY and Samsung TVs but this really surprised us. We also got an unbelievable deal on Black Friday that made this purchase very worth it! Overall, the TV excellent!
