This is my first home projector, and I'm very happy with it! The image is big, bright, and clear, even in daytime on a bare wall (I have not yet invested in a projector screen, but I really don't need it).The basic setup was quick and easy, but getting the image perfect took some working through the menu options. I also had some trouble getting Google TV set up, but after a few days, the projector self-updated, and the new OS corrected the issue.Unlike some other projectors, the PX2-PRO doesn't have 3D capability, but 3D is on the decline, and I've never had a system with 3D anyway, so I don't miss it.There are multiple HDMI inputs, allowing for flexibility in usage. The audio out was a bit tricky to get working with my sound system (it was first recognized as headphones, resulting in poor sound quality), but once I figured it out, everything works smoothly. This won't be a problem if you have a more straightforward setup, especially if you're just using the built-in speaker, which is adequate.Highly recommended if you're looking for high quality at a mid-range price point. If you're picky about audio and sound, be prepared for a bit of fiddling, but the results are worth it.

Looks like I got a bad unit, and Hisense has QA gaps*. My projector produces high pitch noise when laser is on - clearly audible in the whole room, annoying from 3-4m viewing distance. Base noise when laser is temporarily off (due to object detected on the way) is fine, and much lower frequency. It gets worse with high luminance and brighter modes, but even with lowest brightness it's not acceptable for me, unless I use noise cancelling headphones.Found a thread on reddit confirming it's a known issue of some units, and someone got a good replacement after 4w, but also some replacements are bad... Delivery - was faster than expected. It took 3 days from a Sunday I put ordered and got the delivery around noon at the delivery dateSetting up - was easy and way above my expectation, plug in power and power on. Google TV setup is easy especially I have Google Home already. The navigation is quick, and app and video loading is quick. Aligning to my screen took me about 10 mins mostly because the screen and the projector sittings are temporary. I was able to start watching from the delivery at noon.Pictures - Quality is great without playing with the color settings too much. It's sitting in a large room with high ceiling and the sound is more than good. No immediate need to add speakers.
Old projector was a ceiling mount with screen already mounted on wall, had a ikea cabinet but is a bit to tall so will have to find another stand to put projector on. Didn't account for this but will have to probably build a custom one so have enough room for ventilation also. Setup screens bugged out just had to power unit down and back up and then everything set up nice. Will have to do again when figure out cabinet layout. Haven't got to fully test everything yet but setup screens were straightforward when going through them. Functions and testing of projector still to be done yet with a few movies, gaming and apps to try out yet.
To be honest and I mean really honest, forget all your desires of owning a large TV. Lazer TV is the future, I have one now, after a long debate with myself and various you tube reviews articles etc and I would never go back to having a TV.So why have one of these,A TV when not in use, resembling a large unwanted black board, not with a Lazer TV. Your reserved feature wall is still a feature. The myths. Do I need a screen. Definitely no. If you're wall is up to it and to be fair is a wall really that badly plastered. Paint it a grey or a light grey or white. You don't need a screen or the correct paint. I have mine on a light grey and it simply blows anything away, super sized to a crisp perfect 130 inch screen for a price of a tin of paint. What about the day ... MoreTo be honest and I mean really honest, forget all your desires of owning a large TV. Imagine how much this would be in a TV, as far as I am aware the biggest is 115 inch for over £20,000 you can't even get a 130 inch TV and if the future spits one out, it would be the price of a first time buyers house.I went for the Hisense PX2, it's well priced has every feature u could ever want (no 3d unless this is your calling) sound is amazing which rivals most sound bars you can always upgrade if u feel u need it. My biggest recommendation is, it needs to be fed with the best media so Disney and Netflix all need to be purchased on their premium service providing Dolby vision. You will honestly watch every movie again and again. Another nail in the going to the cinema coffin. If you have all the above, just buy one,yes it is a normal TV replacement and also get it from Richer Sounds, with the added bonus of having a 6 year guarantee and unparalleled advice, they know their tec stuff.
Until now I have only used traditional long throw overhead projectors but I moved into a new house and have a new space, so I needed something I could put up against the wall. I spent a lot of time researching which unit to go with and I am glad that I chose this one. The picture is fantastic and there are so many new features I have to play around with, I'm still trying to figure out what they all mean. The build quality of this machine is very good and it feels very solid. The built-in speakers are better than expected, obviously if you're spending this kind of money on a projector you probably have some type of sound system, but the built-in speakers weren't half bad. I think the picture quality of this thing is wonderful. I think the picture quality of this thing is wonderful. The level of detail I can see is amazing and I've very happy with it. I am using it in a basement that is light controlled and with my old overhead, white screen. I am still researching ALR screens to pair with this projector, but so far with just my old screen I am more than pleased with the picture quality. I have the unit about 18-20" from the wall and projecting onto a screen that is about 106" diagonal and everything looks good to me. I still have some tweaks to do, but out of the box it was really good. My initial setup was a little wonky, through no fault of the unit. I was interupted while setting up the Google Tv and had an issue where it got hung up on the "setting up your Tv" screen. Powering the machine off and on wouldn't do anything to fix it so I called Hisense for support. They were very responsive but couldn't figure out what the issue was. They finally updated the firmware for this model on their website and I was able to download it onto a USB drive and restart the unit. It has worked perfectly ever since. The process was simple and again, this fault wasn't the machine, it was more than likely mine. They have very detailed instructions how to do this on their support site and it was very helpful. All is fixed and woking like a charm. My experience with projectorscreen.com was also very, very good. The unit shipped quickly, safely, discretely packaged, and arrived on time. All around a fantastic experience. Thank you to everyone there. I'm no expert on these things, but I think overall this machine is a great value for the money. Its not super cheap or wildly expensive, it has a great picture, solid build quality, and tons of features. I'm more than happy with my purchase.
Maybe its the type of paint my landlord used but Im impressed by how detailed this projector is when displayed on a plain white wall. I never knew how much more fidelity Gran Turismo 7 has on the PlayStation 5 when playing on this large of a scale considering I was playing this entire time on my 65" LG OLED B6. In comparison to other TVs, motion handling is fantastic with no discernible loss of detail on peoples faces and skin even with the soap-opera effect turner on when watching movies. I was curious as to how improved it would be with a proper ALR UST screen, so I went with the 100 ALR UST screen from Spectra Projection. Now it looks like Im watching on a giant regular tv with great black levels and shadow detail in addition to really good viewing angles ... MoreMaybe its the type of paint my landlord used but Im impressed by how detailed this projector is when displayed on a plain white wall. Although setting up a projector and screen is a huge endeavor, the viewing experience afterwards is rewarding and worth it; therefore, I highly recommend investing in one if its within your budget. Joe Schodowski from projectorscreen.com was very patient, helpful and knowledgeable to help with the purchasing process. Shipping was very free and fast. Overall, Im more than pleased.
Summary: The Hisense PX2 Pro is an amazing projector that will make you smile ?? every time you use it. Explanation: I did a lot of research on Ultra Short Throw (UST) projectors in the $2000 - $3000 range. ProjectorScreen.com definitely was an excellent source for me to use during my research on trying to decide what UST projector to get (shout out to their Ultra Short Throw Projector Shootout for 2023 comparisons). I'm certain all of the UST projectors in this price range would be excellent choices, but I finally settled on buying the Hisense PX2 Pro. After using the PX2 Pro everyday for over 2 weeks, I can safely say that I have ZERO regrets in buying this projector. The PX2 Pro has a stunning picture quality (screenshots don't do it justice, you have to see it in person to really witness its glory). The picture is so bright, sharp, and the colors are rich/vivid. The black level is deep, especially for the price range that this projector falls in. I have not done any calibration so i'm sure the picture quality can look even better if you take the time to calibrate it. In my opinion, the PX2 Pro is excellent right out of the box. In terms of features/capabilities, the PX2 Pro has a lot of great bells and whistles (4k resolution, eARC, Dolby Vision HDR, HDR10, ALLM, Google TV, built-in apps) that should future proof it for years to come. I watched a lot of movies in Dolby Vision on Netflix and was left very impressed with the detailed color, depth, and contrast. Also, i'm a big gamer so I have played a lot of games (PS5, Xbox Series X, PC) on the PX2 Pro. The games look stunning on this projector and I have not had any issue with input lag, as long as you have the game mode on. I play a lot of competitive games so I know all about input lag. You will not have a problem on this projector as long as you play with game mode on. Setting the projector up was also a breeze thanks to it's auto geometric calibration feature. My experience with setting up short throw projectors in the past were not great. It was always tricky to get the picture aligned with the screen. I had a much easier time with the PX2 Pro. I'm using a 120 inch screen and was able to align the picture in a matter of minutes. The PX2 Pro built in sound also seems great. The sound is clear and can get loud enough for an enjoyable experience. I never use the built in sound on projectors (I have an home theater surround sound system to cover that department). The Hisense PX2 Pro is definitely an UST projector that you should not overlook. It is an excellent projector in so many ways.
This is the first projector I've ever bought and I did a lot of research into it. This seemed to be the most bang for your buck so I went for it. My main focus was for movies and that cinema experience with a big screen. So far, it has not disappointed. I am using it in a spare bedroom with a standard white paint wall from my new construction house, I haven't painted the wall with any fancy colors meant for projectors, and it still shines amazingly when the room is dark. When I have the lights off this thing gives you that awe experience. When you have the light on, it is just washed away. If you have a light controlled room then you will have a lot of fun with this, if you have light in a room then consider getting an ALR screen. Setup was pretty straightforward but I did have to spend some time researching how to connect and get Dolby Atmos to my Denon receiver through the eARC connection. Not a big deal, I was able to setup easily after a few attempts but had to adjust some settings in the projector. I assume this fine tuning is the same for every projector when you pair with a receiver. Overall I am very happy with this and movie nights have been exhilarating. Of course, get a good audio system, the onboard speakers are fine if you just want to just hear whatever it is you are playing, but not meant for full movie surround sound experience.
