A really underrated Hitman title that delivers a good linear story and some really good stealth mechanics, an enjoyable game all around, highly recommended.Played this game a couple of years ago on console (PS3) and I played the hell out of it.There are some upgrades from the previous game that are often overlooked (I will talk about this below). For example, guards will not straight up shoot you but they will ask you to leave and if you just walk around, you can hear the NPCs talk to each other and for some reason I really enjoyed this feature about the game. Now let's mention the new feature that can be good or bad depending on the individual playing. The disguise system has been changed in a way such that people that are dressed like you can see through your disguise. For example, let's say you dress up as a cook, you better not walk in front of another cook or else he/she will be triggered and call you out.I often see criticism from so-called 'hard-core' fans that its a terrible yada yada and from what I see, I think I know why they might have this opinion.Compared to the other Hitman games, this one is very focused on the story and less on what made Hitman a Hitman game, which is : killing a target as a professional assassin. In this one, you are pretty much on the run from the agency and follow 47 in this journey. Which means, there are a number of missions/locations thatdon't involve killing a ''target'' but involved performing either a specific task or just retrieval missions. This is really the game for you if you want to see a more human side to 47 and you like a good story. The game plays itself like a movie and sometimes you might just play a level just to relive this specific moment.

I give team Eidos credit, their Hitman series always manages to produce a top notch game engine into their series. All the graphical bells and whistles are here: dynamic shadows and lighting, high resolution textures, the ability to densely pack together hundreds of NPC's into a single level, ragdoll physics, and amazing cloth animation are all present and run like a well oiled machine on the PS3.The campaign is also fairly long (20 missions) and takes you across a large range of different settings, some of my favorite levels being the ones where it is jam packed with people in them (Chinatown, Subway Station, and a Strip Club). That being said, I was a little disappointed that most of my favorite levels in this game were in the beginning and middle portion of the ... MoreI give team Eidos credit, their Hitman series always manages to produce a top notch game engine into their series. That being said, I was a little disappointed that most of my favorite levels in this game were in the beginning and middle portion of the game, whereas the last half really bogged down into levels that contained fewer NPC's (who were just more heavily armed) in each map. This game also seems to run a lot of event driven sequences, an example being that enemy's will only begin speaking and then walking their pre-determined route once you come within range of them. This leads to playing the game a lot like you would be playing out a movie script, and also makes the game feel a little simplistic in nature. I think the previous games played out like this, but the most fun I've experienced while playing this game was when I had no idea what the heck was going on.This one's still definitely worth a play through, 4/5

The only Hitman game I have played before Absolution was Blood Money, and so I was expecting something along similar lines. What I found was something that was more different than I had anticipated. The gameplay is amazing. The interaction Agent 47 has with the other characters in the game creates a scenario where a lot of thought is needed before any action is taken. Any mistakes such as alerting guards or creating witnesses are less forgiving than in Blood Money. I am a methodical person, and so enjoyed the challenge.I was however disappointed with the inability to customize the weapons set before each story mission. All missions begin with a pre-set package that fits with where 47 is in terms of the story. This issue is slightly relieved with the contracts ... MoreThe only Hitman game I have played before Absolution was Blood Money, and so I was expecting something along similar lines. The developers have done well in creating a game that is very entertaining to play and replay. There are many possibilities to choose from when it comes to eliminating your target. I recommend this game to all those who enjoy stealth games and want a challenge.

It's an older game now, obviously, still very challenging and compelling. Game worked great. It's not as good as I remember. But that's just like every other game. When it first comes out it seems like the best thing ever. It has aged well.
I've fully played through this game 3 times now and even replayed certain levels many more times to either increase my score or unlock achievements and challenges. I could never get sick of this game as there are so many ways to go about completing all of the missions. You can make the deaths of your targets look like complete accidents, snipe them from afar, go full on rambo mode and destroy everything, or even turn certain characters against each other and let them do the work for you. Also, the "Contracts" online game mode is very simple, yet very enjoyable, and does NOT require Xbox Live GOLD to play! All available contracts are possible to complete as the creator needs to perform the specific challenges themselves before they upload it for others to play. The DLC weapons that come with this edition are extremely helpful in Contracts mode too, and make it so much more enjoyable. The hardcover art book is an excellent souvenir if you're a fan of the Hitman series and contains some amazing concept art plus more. The behind-the-scenes DVD is super interesting to watch and I guarantee that any fan of the Hitman series will really enjoy watching it. Hitman Absolution: Professional Edition is always sold at very low prices during MightyApe's gaming sales and I would seriously reccomend this edition to everyone, as it doesn't cost much more than the standard version and is absolutely worth it for the bonus content.
This game takes from the old hitman games and adds current gen graphics and smoother and slicker controls, which makes it both more visually appealing than previous installments (most are over a decade old and can look dated) and more user friendly and refined in relation to the controls. The quicksave function has been scrapped and replaced for a checkpoint function, which can be a tad frustrating if you have made progress through a level and get caught, you will have to retrace your steps if you are after a perfect level run. The introduction of challenges makes each level immensely replayable, giving you completion bonuses for performing each of the stealth kills and accidental kills per level. If you are already a fan of the Hitman games, you are more than likely going to enjoy this installment. If you have never played before, this is one of the easier ones to get into, so would be a fantastic introduction to the series. Bottom line, great game at a great price. If you are bored of the generic FPS and Sports titles churned out every year, give this stealth/action title with a long prestigious pedigree a shot.
I mainly bought this because it was the best price for Hitman Absolution but it was a bonus getting two more games with it. Hitman Absolution is a good game, I used to have Hitman 2 on PS2 and wanted another Hitman game. This one has better graphics and is kinda hard, but I enjoyed the storyline and the gameplay. I used to also have a Turok game on an older system so was excited to also get that. This game is pretty hard and I don't care for the controls at all. The graphics aren't that great either. I haven't tried the soccer game. But again I just mainly got this bundle for Hitman.
