I give team Eidos credit, their Hitman series always manages to produce a top notch game engine into their series. All the graphical bells and whistles are here: dynamic shadows and lighting, high resolution textures, the ability to densely pack together hundreds of NPC's into a single level, ragdoll physics, and amazing cloth animation are all present and run like a well oiled machine on the PS3.The campaign is also fairly long (20 missions) and takes you across a large range of different settings, some of my favorite levels being the ones where it is jam packed with people in them (Chinatown, Subway Station, and a Strip Club). That being said, I was a little disappointed that most of my favorite levels in this game were in the beginning and middle portion of the ... This leads to playing the game a lot like you would be playing out a movie script, and also makes the game feel a little simplistic in nature. I think the previous games played out like this, but the most fun I've experienced while playing this game was when I had no idea what the heck was going on.This one's still definitely worth a play through, 4/5

An EXCELLENT game! Improves on the Hitman series amazingly! In the past, Hitman felt very clunky, repetitive and non-fluid. But this time round, it delivers as one of the best games I've played on the Xbox! I'm a stealth fan, and the game has greatly improved on that element, so I'll talk about that: You can now "press against" any cover, and execute a roll or spin to move from cover. You can pick items off the ground or tables such as screw drivers and petrol cans, and use them as weapons, or throw them as a distraction. As usual you can suit up your victims, but enemies with the same uniform will become suspicious when they see you. You are awarded and penalized for things such as killing and being identified. The game maximizes your need for stealth by rewarding ... MoreAn EXCELLENT game! Improves on the Hitman series amazingly! In the past, Hitman felt very clunky, repetitive and non-fluid. The game maximizes your need for stealth by rewarding you for hiding bodies, not being detected and so on. The contracts side isn't that great, however, so don't worry if your second hand copy's code has already been used up, unless you want the several hundred worth of very easy G you can get from it.

The only Hitman game I have played before Absolution was Blood Money, and so I was expecting something along similar lines. What I found was something that was more different than I had anticipated. The gameplay is amazing. The interaction Agent 47 has with the other characters in the game creates a scenario where a lot of thought is needed before any action is taken. Any mistakes such as alerting guards or creating witnesses are less forgiving than in Blood Money. I am a methodical person, and so enjoyed the challenge.I was however disappointed with the inability to customize the weapons set before each story mission. All missions begin with a pre-set package that fits with where 47 is in terms of the story. This issue is slightly relieved with the contracts ... The developers have done well in creating a game that is very entertaining to play and replay. There are many possibilities to choose from when it comes to eliminating your target. I recommend this game to all those who enjoy stealth games and want a challenge.

As a fan of the previous Hitman game collection this game was a must buy (and a bargain!) It does differ in regard to the newly added "Instinct Mode" whereby you can slow down time/more effectively blend into your surroundings with your disguise which I believe is a positive for the game. There's also the new feature of 'create a contract' where you can choose a level and choose the weapons/criteria/targets for the level making the game endless in terms of the possible missions and playing styles. Adding to this is the online function of taking part in competitions either created by yourself or by others online where you are ranked on a national/global table with the score you achieved. Points accumulated leads to a choice of weapon upgrades and weapon purchases available for use in the 'create a contract' mode. The story mode itself is very interesting and exciting for fans of the Hitman series as it details a fallout between the Agency and 47 and offers many detailed and exciting levels that can be played with the usual different choices on how to complete them. So it's really your choice if you want to complete objectives in order to be a silent assassin or to go in all guns blazing, or a little mix of both. Achievements are unlocked for completing different actions within each level that can be finding hidden items/using different disguises/completing your objectives in a specific manner which all add to the fact that each level offers numerous enjoyable plays. Unlike previous Hitman games you do not have a direct choice of choosing your weapons prior to each mission but this is not a major problem thanks to the many different weapons available in each mission! Overall review 4/5 Stars - definitely worth a try for any fan of the series!
Hitman: Absolution. This game truly lives up to it's name and the company itself, Square Enix. This game is the only Hitman I've played so far and looked on YouTube for Blood Money and Silent Assassin. What I've seen so far is that Absolution has obviously improved A LOT. Graphics, audio, storyline, and gameplay is extravagant. This game is for players who are able to deal with patience because you are going to experience where you can execute your targets in the beginning of the game, but then you won't be able to from where the game starts rating you in your progress. I thought that was bad, but at the same time, if you had the temptation to begin assassinating your targets for fun, do that and then restart to your checkpoint so you won't lose rating points. It's an older game now, obviously, still very challenging and compelling. Game worked great. It's not as good as I remember. But that's just like every other game. When it first comes out it seems like the best thing ever. It has aged well.
I've fully played through this game 3 times now and even replayed certain levels many more times to either increase my score or unlock achievements and challenges. I could never get sick of this game as there are so many ways to go about completing all of the missions. You can make the deaths of your targets look like complete accidents, snipe them from afar, go full on rambo mode and destroy everything, or even turn certain characters against each other and let them do the work for you. Also, the "Contracts" online game mode is very simple, yet very enjoyable, and does NOT require Xbox Live GOLD to play! All available contracts are possible to complete as the creator needs to perform the specific challenges themselves before they upload it for others to play. The ... The DLC weapons that come with this edition are extremely helpful in Contracts mode too, and make it so much more enjoyable. The hardcover art book is an excellent souvenir if you're a fan of the Hitman series and contains some amazing concept art plus more. The behind-the-scenes DVD is super interesting to watch and I guarantee that any fan of the Hitman series will really enjoy watching it. Hitman Absolution: Professional Edition is always sold at very low prices during MightyApe's gaming sales and I would seriously reccomend this edition to everyone, as it doesn't cost much more than the standard version and is absolutely worth it for the bonus content.
Interactive has done a fine job in bringing back Hitman to the masses, but the need to create a more realistic experience has ultimately held the title back from true greatness. In terms of game mechanics - Absolution is easily the greatest Hitman title that the studio has ever created, and with the new Contracts mode added for good measure, the franchise has never been in a healthier place. Wed like to see IO put the batshit crazy back into the franchise for good measure though, whether as a sequel or as DLC. And theres even a cameo from Kane & Lynch thrown in for good measure. Theyre always good to kill. Few years back ( back in the achievement days ) Hitman : Blood Money was listed as as easy "1k". This one however, requires a replay +1 in order to 100% complete. ... This game takes from the old hitman games and adds current gen graphics and smoother and slicker controls, which makes it both more visually appealing than previous installments (most are over a decade old and can look dated) and more user friendly and refined in relation to the controls. The quicksave function has been scrapped and replaced for a checkpoint function, which can be a tad frustrating if you have made progress through a level and get caught, you will have to retrace your steps if you are after a perfect level run. The introduction of challenges makes each level immensely replayable, giving you completion bonuses for performing each of the stealth kills and accidental kills per level. If you are already a fan of the Hitman games, you are more than likely going to enjoy this installment. If you have never played before, this is one of the easier ones to get into, so would be a fantastic introduction to the series. Bottom line, great game at a great price. If you are bored of the generic FPS and Sports titles churned out every year, give this stealth/action title with a long prestigious pedigree a shot.
I mainly bought this because it was the best price for Hitman Absolution but it was a bonus getting two more games with it. Hitman Absolution is a good game, I used to have Hitman 2 on PS2 and wanted another Hitman game. This one has better graphics and is kinda hard, but I enjoyed the storyline and the gameplay. I used to also have a Turok game on an older system so was excited to also get that. This game is pretty hard and I don't care for the controls at all. The graphics aren't that great either. I haven't tried the soccer game. But again I just mainly got this bundle for Hitman.
