This truly is an incredible helmet for under $300. It is equal or better than a lot of $400 helmets I have tried. My giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is for three minor reasons as there are no big issues with this helmet. The only reason I have deducted a star for these minor reasons is, the correcting should be very simple and would add no or very little cost to production but, for whatever reason, was not done1. Many helmet brands are going away from the old Double D ring to a more user and glove friendly system. A simple and cheap upgrade for the customer that is getting common at this price point but, was not done. IMO.2. I realize it adds to the manufacturing processes but, very minuscule to those who understand how the processes is completed.3. I love that HJC gives you two sizes of breath deflectors however, both deflectors are too far away from your nose to be truly effective. A slight and simple process modification to give the deflectors a more rearward cant would solve this very well. Unless of course you have a very large nose in which case these wold be good for you Cyrano de Bergerac.Like I said, these are not huge issues. However they are simple, easy and inexpensive manufacture improvements that could have been made but were skipped, I would imagine, for simplicity sake alone.

I like the F70 carbon. It looks good, vents well for central Texas, and rates very well for safety - SHARP has it beating all of HJC's RPHA models. That makes this a stellar overall helmet.Unfortunately, it doesn't fit my head shape. A lot of reviews say it's longer front-back but I found the opposite is true. My F70 carbon is definitely wider side-to-side. This medium F70 rubs my forehead more than an extra small HJC I70. Since that's going to vary for each of us, that can't be held against the F70. The real issues are with the visor.1) The visor's grab tabs are visible when the visor is fully open and their shape refracts light, flashing it into your eyes. It's pretty distracting until you get used to it and I can't think of a decent solution besides darkening the grab tabs somehow. In the image attached to this review, I tried to capture what it looks like just with a weak overhead light - the sun creates much brighter distractions when cornering or shoulder checking in particular. At night, lamp posts and headlights create extra flashes of light as they're refracted as well. It's not a deal breaker, but it's worth noting.2) This one is more mixed. The visor locks securely (which is good) but it can be hard to open with one glove - it's easy to pull the helmet up half an inch before the visor pops open. I didn't have this issue with my HJC I70 nor my Bell MX-9 and both felt just as secure when closed (especially the I70 which has a locking mechanism). Some folks might want a visor this secure (trackdays brah), but the casual cruisers should definitely try this before they buy it.These two minor complaints barely mar an otherwise stellar helmet. I heartily recommend it.

I bought this helmet to commute 3 seasons with and have multiple functionalities on the weekends based on the overall shape, safety rating, and internal sun visor. I ride a Versys 650 for reference.Despite other reviews saying the lid felt narrow, I came from an 'oval' shaped HJC helmet but did not experience the same narrow fit - I measured 57cm and the medium is snug and secure. Good firm comfort on the internal padding and despite other helmets with eyeglasses ports causing a worse position for my glasses on my face inside the helmet, my glasses fit very well! Good vision, good ventilation, nice styling too :D.My biggest gripe thus far has been the noise. I know noise is subjective but even with an adjustable windscreen and a neutral riding position, the helmet is flat. out. loud (for me). I didn't think noise could bother me so much but it feels like my head is encompassed in a white noise machine with the monotonous droning noise caused by wind as low as 30mph. It really has taken away from my like for the helmet otherwise.Smaller and less annoying details would be #1. How difficult the visor is to unlatch with one hand while riding. #2. Although you might get a pinlock for the visor, keep in mind that glasses or the internal sun visor will still be foggy (not entirely specific to this helmet alone I suppose). and #3. The shell is rather large.. luckily it still fits inside my standard Versys side luggage panniers.I do like the helmets functionality and styling, but its going to take some getting used to the noise levels. After upgrading from my first helmet purchased for $150 5 years ago to this helmet, I was hoping for something a bit more refined. Again, this is just my experience and I would recommend trying it for yourself if that is even possible at a local gear shop.

Overall, pretty good helmet for the price. As others have noted, the sizing is off as it runs small. I have 2 other HJCs, both XL and fit perfect. However the F70 is very tight around the cheek pads but especially in the forehead area. Wore it on a 10 hr road trip and had significant discomfort after a few hours. The sun shield is a nice feature if you don't wear sunglasses under your lid. Wind noise isn't bad at all behind a shorter windshield. The vents work well to keep it comfortable in warm weather.
By far this is a good helmet and i completely love it. It is quiet in comparison with my SEDICI Parlare. It was my favorite one. But for now I'm giving it 3 stars because waiting for a resolution on a warranty claim. Two months after wearing this helmet for my daily commute, riding in temps of 105, 110 & 111 degrees the inside shock absorbing material on the right side started separating and protruding just where my right temple is, almost like it swelled up due to the heat. The protrusion is enough to make this helmet extremely uncomfortable to the point I can't wear it after 15 or 20 minutes of riding. I've contacted Revzilla about this issue and now I have to go thru the warranty department. It is important to note there is no physical damage to helmet, no ... For the price I paid for this helmet, it was an exceptional value. The build quality is fantastic. Much better than my old AGV that I purchased in the late eighties... and I only paid $20 more for this helmet. I really like all the features, like the ventilation system and the secondary tinted shield. The fit may be just a little tight, but it's much better than having a loose fitting helmet. I think the extra large would have been slightly loose on me. The only complaint I have is that the date code on the helmet is from 2020. Most manufacturers recommend replacing your helmet every five years, but no one does that unless it is a requirement for use. My AVG shell is still fine. The inside components are deprecated, but still usable.I liked this helmet so much I ... MoreFor the price I paid for this helmet, it was an exceptional value. The build quality is fantastic. I wanted to really love this helmet due to the awesome look of it. Other reviews are pretty on point about noise though. Helmet sometimes whistles a bit, but will definitely whistle a lot if your visor isn't clipped shut.No quick release for the visor had me riding home using my tinted shield when I wasn't able to undo the screws with the small screwdriver I bought with me to switch shields. It wanted to strip the screws.Visor is also a bit of a pain to push up and push down until it clips. Requires a bit of force in both directions, where my old FJ-17 had a nice clip in the middle that you'd just hook your thumb under and would easily pop up and down. The pro's are pretty good though.-The helmet does look outstanding! They slide in even easier than my old FJ-17.-My old Scala Rider G9x attached to the helmet without much issue. So you don't need to buy the HJC Sena headset if you already have something.-Rode through heavy rain one evening and it kept my head dry. No leaks! If I could go back, I might buy something else for the money. If you're married to the style though, then this one is acceptable for the price. Hopefully HJC refines it over time.
I just did a 450 mile ride up through Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks yesterday. This helmet was absolutely a huge surprise by how comfortable it was and how well it functioned. I own several helmets including Schuberth, Arai, IICON, Scorpion, and LS2 to name a few. This helmet is as comfortable as my Arai and just outstanding for the price. Way quieter than I was expecting. I had earbuds in listening to music or podcasts half the time and the other half of the time I didn't even have ear plugs in and I was very pleasantly surprised by the level of quiet. The sun visor worked great and the regular visor worked good enough for me and stayed open when I wanted it to, even in the cracked position because I am behind a fairing. I would highly recommend this helmet to anyone, especially at this low close out price. I just love the sweet design that looks used and abused but is great looking. If I want someone to see me all I have to do is turn my head so you can see the orange side! That is just good clean fun right there. As far as sizing goes, these days I wear a large, so I got a large. It was a bit snug but feels like it'll break in perfectly. If you're in between sizes I would recommend going up one size. I seriously couldn't be happier about this purchase. This was a definite win in my book which is very welcome once in a while.
I wore the HJC F70 all of last season and it's a great all-around helmet. It feels solid, fits well, and is comfortable over long periods of time. Its only significant drawback is the noise level, but I think that's to be expected at this price point. I just wear earplugs. The main reason I love the helmet is its wide field of view and how well it fit around my prescription sun/glasses. Combined with the additional pinlock shield insert, this helmet has solved a lot of the comfort/logistics (always having to wear contacts when riding) and visibility issues I've had with other helmets.
Bought this new for 2024 season, very comfortable but a little noisy. I find the vents are useless, regardless of open or closed, same air flow and fog clearing. The removable bottom fabric is a bit of a gimmick and not really useful when in place due to gaps. My biggest complaint is the visor is very difficult to lift with one hand and sticks, causing the whole helmet to lift when being raised. Not sure I'd recommend
