Great for the money. Drop down shield, fits glasses, good air flow. Super quit with earplugs. I'm right in the middle between medium and large with rounder head so fit is good at crown. I will get thinner cheek pads. I like the idea of concealed coms, not keen on being limited to one company for them. I was able to fit my coms in. I like the internal wiring channels for speakers. Picked up blue mirror visor so now it's definitely the coolest looking. Includes pin lock in box, can't beat that. Visor base plate needs a venting position so it's just cracked for more air on hot days

I ordered the F70 about a month ago and found it to look as advertised online. The fit, for me, was true to the sizing guide. As far as comfort goes, I've worn it on an all day ride without any discomfort or noticeable hot spots. The ventilation is good and the breath guard does its job keeping the visor from fogging, even on cooler mornings. The field of view is pretty wide with the only draw back being if you're trying to look down, (ie at your speedo; I have a HD night train so maybe not an issue for others) you have to move your whole head down to see it. All that being said, this helmet is VERY loud above 60mph. If you're just cruising around at lower speeds, (under 55) it's fine. If I had known this, I probably would have opted for a different helmet which is ... MoreI ordered the F70 about a month ago and found it to look as advertised online. If I had known this, I probably would have opted for a different helmet which is a shame because of how well it performs in other areas. If not for the loudness of the wind noise, I'd have given this 5 stars. For somebody that commutes at higher speeds, I would not recommend this helmet.

Good for the price
17 February 2024

Overall I feel like this is a quality commuting helmet in its price range, although I've had to adjust to some of its small quirks. The good:- One of the best internal sun visors on the market. Not only is it large, but I was happy to find out it's anti fog treated as well. I did have to wipe down the sun visor out of the box because it seems like there was invisible residue that prevented the anti fog properties to do its job well, but it's been fog-free with great clarity ever since, as if it has a pinlock. The tint on the sun visor is fairly dark which is good. No tint is dark enough to defeat direct sunlight into your eyes, but this one does a decent job at taking the edge off of the setting sun during the commute after work.- The chin(?) vent has a ... MoreOverall I feel like this is a quality commuting helmet in its price range, although I've had to adjust to some of its small quirks. The good:- One of the best internal sun visors on the market. I did have to wipe down the sun visor out of the box because it seems like there was invisible residue that prevented the anti fog properties to do its job well, but it's been fog-free with great clarity ever since, as if it has a pinlock. The tint on the sun visor is fairly dark which is good. No tint is dark enough to defeat direct sunlight into your eyes, but this one does a decent job at taking the edge off of the setting sun during the commute after work.- The chin(?) vent has a generous opening and is very effective at clearing up the main visor of fog. Moving at 20mph generated enough airflow to keep my visor without pinlock clear of fog. It does come with a pinlock, I just prefer not to use it sometimes. This is is a huge improvement over my old helmet (HJC Rpha 11) where I couldn't close my visor shut without fogging unless I was on the highway.- I found no issues with stability at higher speeds. Wind resistance felt similar to my previous, racing inspired helmet.- It's not heavy for a helmet with a sun visor in this price range. Size S weighed around 1590g.Not so good:- I noticed a very distracting noise from the helmet starting at around 30mph, like a loud white noise cutting through the low hum of the wind. It turned out to be the comm system covers and the channel for the internal visor slider creating most of this noise. Taping up the bottom of the comm covers made it better, but there's not much I can do about the visor slider, so now I constantly hear wind noise from the left side of the helmet. It's annoying but bearable. Yes I wear earplugs.- The helmet looks noticeably larger than my previous one, which seems to be a trend with some of these newer helmets designed to meet the new safety specs in Europe. Sadly, the US version only meets DOT specs and has a different EPS liner according to the HJC rep I spoke with.- The main visor doesn't allow a "cracked open" position, where you leave a few mm open to allow extra ventilation without wind hitting your eyes. At its lowest position before locking shut, the visor on this helmet is already pressed against the gasket and not letting air through. Thankfully, the chin vent has been effective enough so that I don't need the cracked open position to prevent fogging, but it's nice to have options. The first visor detent is too high up, allowing too much wind to hit my eyes, even with the sun visor down.Misc:- No problem with installing a Cardo system instead of Sena if you use an adhesive mount.- Interior liner feels similar to HJC's premium Rpha line of helmets.- It has four passive exhaust ports around the rear spoilers.- I prefer the center visor latch on my old helmet over the asymmetrical latch.- Fits true to size
