Not an upgrade coming from the RPHA70!If, like me, you loved your RPHA70 that you're looking into buying this helmet as a replacement for it, don't do it...Instead of this being an upgrade is a redesign of the 70 to be more touring focused. Many of the new things are actually really cool, like the adjustable internal sun visor and the ventilation being very very efficient. What I find ridiculous is this trend of "prepared for intercoms" and all the TRASH that comes with it. I don't want their Sena and I'm forced to carry the unconfortable slot for the battery that I can feel in the back of my head, the flimsy side plastics that I hear rattle in the wind and that I've cut my finger on when not wearing gloves. And finally the clear increased bulkiness of the shell ... MoreNot an upgrade coming from the RPHA70!If, like me, you loved your RPHA70 that you're looking into buying this helmet as a replacement for it, don't do it...Instead of this being an upgrade is a redesign of the 70 to be more touring focused. It's terrible and I wish I knew how bad it was before I bought it.Last but not least I got a faulty one (sent back to the factory and I haven't seen it in a month now) where the visor mechanism does not latch properly. But when it does... oh gosh is it hard to open with gloves on... If all proper latching ones are like this (I heard they are) that's another annoying thing to deal with in an expensive gear piece.

Great looking helmet. Fits snuggly. Little tight around the cheeks even with 25mm cheek pads, but that's me chipmunk cheeks!! Would definitely recommend the helmet to anyone!

Bought this helmet based on reviews stating it is one of the most quiet helmets out there. The wind noise that comes from the bottom of the right side is deafening as other people have stated. I can confirm if you shrug your shoulders the noise lessens, but no one can ride like that lol! The good points are: it's comfortable and the drop down tinted sun visor.

Beautiful helmet, but it's very noisy. I had an AGV K3 SV before and it was not as noisy. I close all the vents and make sure chin guard is covering me, but I can hear crazy wind noise even under 35 MPH.
I’ve owned this helmet for two weeks, I bought it the second it came out, to replace my brand new i10. The i10 drove me crazy on the highway. I have to say, I should have kept it. This helmet sounds like there is a tornado in my right ear, yet the left ear is very quiet. It’s of a very high quality, and is very comfortable. Yet the noise, it’s deafening. Coming in somewhere from the neck area. If I shrug my shoulders, the noise is gone, until I relax. There’s a blanking plug for a speaker in the ears, and it’s like an amphitheatre for wind noise. Above 60kph, it’s almost unbearable. That’s a lot of money, right in the garbage. Thanks hjc…
This is my second helmet my first helmet was a bell mx9 adventure it is super confortable, well ventilated, does not fog but get caught up in the wind over 80kph so i wanted to replace it for something more adapted for highway rides. Anyway here is my 2 cents about the hjc rpha 71Pro's: fits my head perfectly, super confortable annnnnd thats itCon's: everything else about the helmet.Insanely noisy even compared to my bell mx9 adventure!! Fogs up as soon as i stop. The locking mechanism for the shield is a pain to operate with gloves. The drop down visor is nice except at every position if the shield is open you're eyes are directly blasted by wind. There is nowhere to put you're own comm sets on this helmet the way it's made to have the smart hjc overpriced ... MoreThis is my second helmet my first helmet was a bell mx9 adventure it is super confortable, well ventilated, does not fog but get caught up in the wind over 80kph so i wanted to replace it for something more adapted for highway rides. It's a shame that we can't try helmets on our bikes otherwise I'd never have bought it. I've lost 800$ with this helmet really disappointed. So i repeat do not buy this helmet its a waste of money (sorry for the grammatical errors English is not my native language and i didn't feel like to correct my grammar for this helmet)
Great helmet that is light and secure. First I ordered a medium because I already had a medium hjc, but the Rpha series runs a tad bigger so be sure to check the size chart, and go with the smaller size bc there is room for break in. I was able to easily return the helmet that was too big and received store credit to order the small within a couple hours.
Great looking livery, the paint really pops. And so comfortable. The pinlock prevents any fogging, and love having the versatility to ride day or night without changing out the visor. No painful break in period either, it was comfortable immediately.
I bought this helmet for one reason only, I'm taking a long trip and wanted to reduce the wind noise of my 3/4 helmet. Read reviews and watched videos that suggested this helmet was the third most suggested for noise reduction. I ordered it, got it, excitedly wore it for a ride yesterday. What a dissapointment it was. The wind noise was the same as my 3/4 helmet! I did notice that if I hunched up my shoulders, the noise stopped. Or I put put my hand up by where the visor corner meets the shell, the noise stopped. It seems to me that these manufacturers should wind test their helmets.Otherwise, the helmet looks good and fits quite well. I'll probably still wear it on my trip, but it won't be my daily go to like I had hoped it would be.
Super nice- the shell is a big difference compared to cheaper helmets, and the adjustable sunshade is nice. Definitely the nicest helmet i've felt/picked up/put on so far.
