My foot doctor recommended HOKA for recovery from foot pain, but since it's winter, I wanted something more weatherproof than my Bondi 7s. I purchased a pair of all-gender Bondi GTX, and they immediately relieved the pain. Today was the ultimate test--I wore them while shoveling. My feet were warm, dry, and supported! No slipping, either. They are big shoes, but I bought black and can wear them with black dress pants at work and look ok. Great choice for me.

I tend to teeter between a 7/5 and 8 with most shoes but the 8 fits perfectly. I have slightly wider feet and they are great for my feet. They're so comfortable and didn't have a "break-in" period. They have great traction and admittedly, didn't realize they're advertised as an "all-weather" shoe but they really are. They one things I haven't gotten used to yet and it's just a matter of me wearing them more is that the back of the shoes feels bulky, like the bit that hits the ground; like I have to be hyperaware of how I step when going down the stairs. I bought the deep teal color and I'm fully obsessed with the color, it's stunning.

I use the almost every day,, either for work or leisure. It was my first purchase of shoes on line. When I got them, I felt as if they were made for my foot. I ordered shoes from another brand afterwards and they did not fit. Neither this to say, I would order this model again as it is very difficult to find comfortable shoes that feel so wonderful to wear. Thank you for making your product so great. Even though it is a bit pricey, I was able to afford them through after pay and wpuld love to order one winter model eventually.

I'm a medsurg RN, I wear these to work everyday. I also live in central Oregon where we have had a minimum of 5" of snow on the ground continuously for almost two months. I've tromped through the snow for a quarter mile twice a day from the parking lot to the hospital and my feet at always dry. They have good traction on the ice as well. But not too much traction for indoors, They are perfect for working the floor. Took no time to break in. They really are waterproof. I love the color and the width is perfect for me. I like a little more width but a wide is alway too wide. I recommend them to everyone!
I work in healthcare, standing all day walking back and forth, and I needed a new pair of shoes that could last all day. I wasn't expecting miracles, but the fact that I could strike gold twice with a good pair to last all day, I fould Hoka to be my supplier! My first pair of Hoka's provided me with superior comfort and reduced the strain on back and knees. Not to mention, it gets extremely hot here in the South and your feet stay cool. I honestly did not expect these (my second pair) to be just as good, or better. They are not the prettiest to look at, but the description of these is what I needed. Winter is fast approaching and was looking for shoes to withstand exposure outside (Rain and sleet). I was so excited that Hoka had warmer shoes for the winter, esp in a Bondi, my very favorite. But the All Gender is just too wide for my foot and no matter how I tied them and how tight I pulled in the sides, I finally had to give up and say I can't wear these. Maybe they fit for some women but judging from many of the reviews, it would only be women who were slightly wider than average. My foot is slightly thinner which works out fine in all of the 3 other pair I have of different Hoka models. Since I wear a woman's size 12, no other warmer Hokas in women's sizes were available for me. I understand how these kind of warmer shoes may save Hoka money in the long run being able to offer the same show for both men and women but I wish they had these in women's sizes. ... MoreI was so excited that Hoka had warmer shoes for the winter, esp in a Bondi, my very favorite. So if you have a thinner womens foot (but not thin enough to get narrows), these may not be for you. The length was fine. Returning and getting a less warm shoe but in women's sizes. Once I have my heart set on a new pair of Hokas, I can't just return these and leave it at that. 3 stars bc of the width and the arch area not quite in the right place for me but otherwise a beautiful shoe (dark teal), wonderfully designed and potentially warm. Hoka - please make these in regular women's sizes. I'll be first in line to buy them.
The first Hokas I purchased was the Bondi 7's in wide. I was in love! The most comfortable shoe I have ever used. I am on my feet 9 hours a day standing on concrete. Due to the plushness I felt great relief and support from them so I had no hesitation buying these Bondi L's. They were Bondi's with the plushness statement but they were waterproof. A plus factor. My only reservation was that they were unisex and did not come in wide. I ordered them and loved the color and waterproof feature. They were a little tight and they weren't as plush as the 7's. But still comfortable. No pain after the break in period. I am still looking for that same plushness from the 7's so I ordered a pair of Bondi 8's.
I love all hoka shoes. I use it for everyday walks. Since I can't walk with regular rain boots, and hoka bondi is my favorite, I was very excited to find this gtx bondi. I normally wear a size 8 when the width is regular. But this one was way off. I got a size 8 for this, (7 men), bought it in January to make sure I secure a pair before they ran out of size, I wore it today and it was way too big!!! Now I don't know what to do with it since it is way past the 30 days! I was very confident when I bought it few months ago that did not bother to try it on because I have so many pair of hoka that I didn't think this one will disappoint me! I wish I can still return this and exchange for the right size for because it is an expensive shoes!
Three years ago a podiatrist told me that I could no longer walk for exercise because I was activating my bunions. Then I found HOKA. After putting a ton of miles on these feet, wearing HOKAs with plush foot beds, I am happy to say that doctor was wrong. I do extensive walking and with my HOKA Bondis, I have no pain and no bunion activation. That said, these shoes are solid, well made, lightweight, stabilizing, extremely comfortable shoes. Being water resistant is a big plus. Without the mesh of the original Bondi L, your feet are warmer and drier. I do not find these shoes to be wider than my other Bondis. I have the Bondi L and the Bondi SR. These seem to be about the same width-wise. I measure an 8.5 B in a regular shoe and wear a 9 in all of my HOKAs. I thought the teal might come in handy if I fell face forward into a snow bank, but since that didn't seem likely, I opted for the far less garish black. These shoes might be really beneficial for someone who has balance issues. I was initially hesitant to get them based on some of the reviews that I had read, but I took a chance and got them. I think you should too.
My old Bondi pair had completely worn through so I was thrilled that there was finally a waterproof option available right as the snowy winter months were approaching. Having ultra-plush shoes is essential when you spend a lot of time standing and/or running on hard surfaces like I do. The tongue on this pair seems shorter than the one on my former pairs of Bondi, so it frequently bunches up on me when I'm putting them on. The width does seem slightly wider than the women's Bondi, but it doesn't seem to be too much of an issue for me. Overall I'm pretty satisfied, but I think offering more Bondi style options with GTX would solve a lot of fit problems - and a wider selection of color options wouldn't hurt, either. (I honestly don't know why ALL running shoes can't ... MoreMy old Bondi pair had completely worn through so I was thrilled that there was finally a waterproof option available right as the snowy winter months were approaching.
