I bought the new Clifton 9 in the cute pink color. I have owned multiple pairs of Clifton’s before and have been very happy with them.. no break in time, comfortable from first try on. When I first tried these on, I felt something was off. They just didn’t feel right.. more firm, rubbing my ankles. I wore them for 2 weeks to see if I could break them in but my feet ACHED when I wore them and hurt after I took them off too. So sad that they changed up these shoes. They are TTS as my others were but I just couldn’t keep wearing them as they hurt SO much.

I've had these for quite some time now. The upper is very comfortable and the sole highly cushioned. However I find that running in them is like running in quicksand. I tend to end up with sore legs after runs as they require so much effort to get moving. As stated earlier, they are highly cushioned but it's a squishy cushioning with little to zero responsiveness. I bought these initially because I have a compressed nerve in my back and I wanted something to absorb impact. In that way they were probably good for me and it's why I haven't scored them lower than 3, but I've moved onto other far superior shoes now that also absorb impact, but also allow me to move, which is fairly important for running. They would probably be suitable walking shoes for some, but I'm ... MoreI've had these for quite some time now. I run about 3-5 miles/day and my shoes tend to wear on the top, outer edges (supination). I've usually ran in various styles of New Balance and recently liked an older version of Brooks Ghost. I visited the Running Room on Grand Ave in St. Paul, and the person helping me recommended the Hoka Clifton or a pair of Brooks (I can't recall the exact style). I have not run in Hokas before. They had a different feel from what I am used to. The Brooks were more of a firm cushion and the Hokas were more of a springy cushion. The Brooks felt like other running shoes I've worn, but the Hokas cost slightly less. I ran on the treaddmill in both, and both felt good. Since I was on the fence, I decided to let price be the guide. I'm so glad! The Hoka Cliftons have been so great. I feel like my knee pain has decreased significantly running in these shoes. Maybe I've needed the extra cushion all along. In either case, really glad for these shoes.

I have never used Hokas before, but I went to a running shop and after being evaluated (achilles tendinitis on my left foot), they gave me the Clifton 8s as an option. They were a lot cushier than my previous shoes, so I decided to give them a go to see if something different helped reduce my achilles pain. 2 days of walking and a very light jog, and my right knee and right achilles started hurting, both of which I've never had a problem with previously. My left achilles was in excruciating pain. These shoes are very unstable, particularly in the heel area, so your foot ends up flopping around too much. I regret purchasing these.
Great fit for me. Super light weight and very comfortable. Really like the colour.I tried on in store however the colour I was after wasn’t available in my size so I purchased online.Great customer service in store and very easy to order online and extremely fast delivery. Was pleased as soon as I opened the box. Have been out running a few times in them now for anywhere between 4 and 14km. My feet feel great in them, supported and no niggles or tight spots in the shoe. No sore feet on return.
Shoes had plenty of cushion, but lacked sufficient arch support. Previously had been running in Brooks Ghost and wanted to give the Clifton’s a chance based on their reputation of being a great cushioned shoe. Unfortunately, they were not a great fit for my feet as I developed pain and a blister on my left arch after my first run in them. While the shoes didn’t make the cut, the staff at Pacers were amazing. They readily exchanged my Clifton’s for a pair of Brooks Ghosts. I will be back for my next pair of Ghosts!
This is my 4th pair of Hoka Cliftons, and my 2nd pair of Clifton 8s so I am obviously a fan of this shoe. I was thinking of making a change , but after trying on a few other models of different brands I decided to stick with the Clifton because it was the most comfortable and seemed right for my foot. I have fairly severe pronation and wear orthotics, so I remove the insole and replace with an orthotic I also have chronic Runner's Knee and so far the Cliftons have allowed me to continue running 30+ kms a week. I need a shoe with high level cushioning but prefer not to sacrifice lightness, and the Clifton delivers on both counts. The fit is absolutely perfect and the shoe needs no breaking to or getting used to. My only wish is that the soles were more durable. I bought these maybe 4 months ago. They were a great fit, comfy, and a wonderful style- I was thrilled to purchase these! Right away when I started wearing them for walking periods longer than 1 mine consecutive, I noticed blisters forming on my toe on my left foot. The blisters continued but eventually became a hard callus. They started forming on my right foot also. I have never experienced this with any other shoe and for the hype of these and the price of these I would expect more. I quit wearing them for my walks and my blisters disappeared/healed. Today I wore them again for my 6 mile WALK and lo and behold… now not only did I get a blister but I got a blood blister!!!! I should have never given these shoes another chance and returned them within the 30 day ... MoreI bought these maybe 4 months ago. I like the Hoka brand and bought this second pair for an upcoming trip that would entail walking 10K+\day. I did some research on what shoes would be good for flat feet. This Hoka style was highly recommended. I like the true to size fit and bought my regular shoe size. I wear it for walking and running plus it’s lightweight and breathable fabric. The color is great because it goes well with any outfit. This is a great find and glad I found it for my flat feet.
I did SO much research on some new athletic shoes and finally decided to try Hoka. I have plantar fasciitis so I really wanted something to help with that relief and I sought out what I thought would be the most comfortable shoe possible. I slipped these on and could immediately feel the difference in quality compared to the more familiar brands that I usually went with. The cushion on these is insane and I'm already feeling more relief from my plantar. I was hesitant on size, so I did get half a size smaller, but I could've gotten my regular size. They are slightly snug, so I would recommend just getting your normal size. But overall I'm very happy with this purchase and anticipate that these will last a long time.
