The Clifton 9 is a great update to the 8! Just as much cushion and support in the new version. I do find the 9 fits a little more true to size. I typically wear a 12, and had to go with a wide size in the previous Clifton 8, but the 9 fits great at the normal width! Excited to keep putting miles on these!

I bought these for my trip to Europe. They were very comfortable even wen I was hiking and walking 20,000 steps a day. They are pricy but worth it. They'll probably be my daily trainers now that I'm back home. Only warning is that they do get dirty quick.

I haven't bought running shoes in quite awhile. I can no longer jog due to my knees but, I power walk and walking shoes were not cutting it. My knees were sore the day after walking so until I purchased the Hoka shoe, I would alternate walking with the stationary bike. The Hoka is a cushioned ride and to my surprise, hugs my narrow heel. I'm also able to put my orthotics in them with no issues on the fit and this is the first pair of running shoes that I can wear my regular street size instead of ordering a half or full size larger. Not sure what the life expectancy is for these shoes but time will tell. Cliftons have been my go-to shoe for hitting the road … and sometimes trails. Cushiony feel without feeling to soft and the latest version continues this great feel which is great for those long road runs. The tongue is differently different but was not an issue. Still light and responsive. All around a continues to be a great shoe
These are my 5th pair of Cliftons and there definitely is a difference. The toe box feels roomier than the 8's did, but I didn't have that sink in, ultra-comfy, "Aaah"-like experience when I first put them on. There feels like there is more bounce to them, and that makes them definitely feel more responsive than the 7's or 8's did. My first run was four miles--I don't run any other pace besides slow--and while comfortable, they felt like they need to be broken in, which I didn't have to do with previous models. I still like them, though, and hopefully the more miles I put on them, the cushier they'll feel. For reference I am a 148lb female.
I had the same model before and they were perfect..I need the wide fit.Had to buy the second pair online. BUT! This latest shoe "same model" is a little baggy around the toes....Not sure why they changed it???
Excellent shoe. I have arthritis on my left foot and these shoes have helped me. I am able to do my errands without the pain. I love them ♥️I am getting ready to order my 2nd pairI did go to a special foot store to have my foot measured and found out my left foot is wider . I think because of the arthritis. I normally wear a 6Fleet feet store to measure or order also
I tried on a number of Hoka Clifton version 8’s and couldn’t find the typical fit I had come to know and live in the Clifton. I tried on the version 9 and immediately felt relief. It is everything I expect and more in the Clifton. Max cushion, extremely lightweight, and supportive.
Loved the Hoka Clifton 8 and love the new version 9 more - they've got slightly more support and are comfier than the previous version, my go-to shoe for runs. Fit slightly small so if doing longer runs I would maybe size up half a size but for short runs and everyday these are perfect for me. Great colours as well!
