Very comfortable shoe, and I am a difficult fit with metatarsal issues and a narrow heel/ankle. I tried the Bondi, but its plush cushioning made my legs ache. So far the Clifton L's Balanced cushioning seems better for me. I also tried the All Gender Clifton L Suede, but the Suede made them feel too stiff. The NON-suede Clifton L has more flexibility, but not too much for my metatarsal area. Fingers crossed and hopeful that they remain comfortable, since I have not had them for long. Love the Barley color and especially that they were on sale. Please, offer more colors on sale!

Writing this review because I always find them to be helpful. I wear a size 8 in womans. I ordered the 6.5M/7.5 womans. They fit just like my womans 8. So if you are a woman ordering size down a half a size from your normal size. The width is normal with plenty of toe room. My feet are regular width. So not narrow or wide. I do have flatter feet though. They have good cushion and are comfortable to walk in. They are also more stylish them some of Hokas other shoes. I ordered the white white. Definitely a good everyday shoe. I am not on my feet all day though so keep this in mind.

For starters they run small. I wear a woman's size 7 in every other shoe I've ever purchased and bought a 7.5 after reading reviews and they fit perfectly. Great room in the toes, super comfy and great support. I have arthritis and these are the only shoes I have that don't make it worse after wearing them all day.I got the vanilla /wheat color and they are a bit more peach colored in person, which made it hard for me to find matching socks. (Nike has some that match perfectly but you have to get a multi colored 6 pk) that said I love them. I'm so glad I got them. They are much cuter than the other Clifton options.

I had high hopes for this shoe as it was super cute aesthetically . However, the comfort was terrible. I wore them for three hours before my ankles and low back started to ache. I’m on my feet all day and unfortunately will not be able to use them for working. I’ve had other Hoka’s that were great shoes, but these were a big fail. I did order my regular size . It’s a very unusual fit as other reviewers have stated. It seems very unfortunate to have to put an insert in a $150 pair of shoes.
This is my fourth pair of Hoka - third pair of Clifton - second pair of Clifton L style. I use the shoes for walking on a paved trail and find them extremely supportive with enough bounce to keep this grandmother's 72 year old knees and hips happy but not so cushioned as to feel like marshmallows. Yesterday I walked 7.5 miles without any discomfort during or after. My first pair of Hoka was Mach III - I liked them but felt I needed a little more lift. Second pair was Clifton mens because I wanted a slightly wider toe box than womens. My third (and fourth) pair have been Clifton L because the extra design detail at the lacing and toes makes the shoe look not quite so large on my size 11 feet. I've been getting maybe 400-500 miles per pair before I start feeling ... MoreThis is my fourth pair of Hoka - third pair of Clifton - second pair of Clifton L style. I've been getting maybe 400-500 miles per pair before I start feeling they've broken down enough to give me some knee or hip issues. In dress or casual shoes I comfortably wear a womens size 10 but in walking shoes, I bump up a full size. If you're considering your first pair of Hoka, I recommend trying a couple of styles and sizes to find your best fit - they really do differ considerably beyond the colors. I think I've found my sweet spot with Clifton L.
I absolutely love these shoes and I would buy them again and again. I have been wanting to try Hoka but waiting for a style that I liked and these are nice. They are extremely comfortable and have a lot of foot support with a wide toe box. By extremely comfortable I mean the best shoes I've ever worn. I feel like wearing these takes a lot of pressure of my joints and feet in general, and I feel more "free" with movement than my usual sneakers. They would probably be perfect for running or tennis (or other sports too) but I use them for daily shoes or walking shoes and they make taking walks amazing and so comfortable. They are also very lightweight while the shoe itself is sturdy if that makes sense. The one thing I didn't like was the sizing was pretty unusual. I recommend measuring your foot or going to a store in person to see what size you are before ordering online because I was not my normal size. I'm usually a women's 10/mens 8 and I ended up getting the M9.5/W10.5 which fit well.
I am a salesman and out in the summertime I need something breathable and durable as well. On top of both those features I was also looking for a semi-professional look. These shoes hold all qualities. The only problem is the heel padding. It's almost too comfort focused and after a couple days of consistent wear they've already worn and developed noticeable creases. Overall though, they're a great shoe and I'd definitely recommend them to friends and family.
I got two pairs of these shoes of the Hoka flagship store and they're my favorite! I previously had a pair of Bondi 7s that I loved but they made my calves sore after wearing them all day. These are a bit firmer but SO comfortable and perfect for everyday wear. As a traveler, these are also the perfect travel shoe as they're comfy enough for me to wear all day every day with no sore feet whatsoever. I would love for these shoes to come in more (better lol) colors so I could get more! Also they look far better in person than they do online so definitely check them out in store if you get the chance.
I bought these for my new volunteer job as a theatre usher at Playhouse Square. You can be on your feet several hours and do stairs; my husband recently bought a different pair of shoes from you and said they were SO cushy and suggested your products. I have used them twice so far. The "job" has very strict dress requirements. Thank you for making all black shoes. Quality all black shoes, not the slip on kind, the ones with laces - are very hard to find. And I must wear shoes where the maker's name not prominently visible. It's there, but subtle! I did have to use a black sharpie to color the beige tips at the front and the reflective bits on the back loops for putting them on. The loops do make it easier to put the shoes on! I hated to have to color it over lol. ... MoreI bought these for my new volunteer job as a theatre usher at Playhouse Square. I will definite recommend these shoes to other ushers.
As an event planner that can no longer wear heels for an event AND needed a comfortable all black tennis shoe, this is IT! My feet would constantly hurt from being on them10+ hours minimum for every event. No matter what shoe I tried, at the end of the night all the way into the next day, my feet would be sore sore! But you see these Cliftons, baby they are the truth! I wanted to wait until I had a few wears in them to give an honest review. Well I'm on month 2 and probably 30 events in and my feet has not hurt NOT ONE TIME, not one ya hear me! I've already recommended that my staff buy a pair and today I received the pair that I purchased for my hubby in the mail! So I'm a believer at this point!
