I have used Hoka leather shoes for many years now. I had been running competitively for almost 50 years. Hoka has superior cushioning to the countless other brands I have used over the years. One suggestion I would give is to make the tongue slightly longer. If you lace up to the top eyelet (as I do) the tongue would "stay put" better if it were a little longer. Sincerely, Dave

Very comfortable and addictive like the rest of Hoka shoes. This model is stylish too which has the best of both world. However, I've had them for two weeks now and they already look much older than that. The textured suede seemed to be the part that starts looking old very fast. Overall I love them and don't like returning stuff but if this gets too old too fast I might have to.

I wanted a nice white shoe that was supportive but not too clunky looking and these were it. I like that it gives me support and height when I walk and are also stylish. I would say these shoes run a little large and to order a half size down. I'm a true 9.5-10 and ended up ordering a size 9 and they were perfect. These are my first pair of hokas an I plan on buying more in the future.

I'm sold on Hoka. I have several pairs including recovery sandals. The Clifton LS in Earthenware is not a disappointment. Even with the suede, it's extremely light, flexible and comfortable. They truly make you feel like you are walking on air no matter where you are walking. I did order 1/2 size down as I felt Hokas were running just a little big for me. Not a complaint as they didn't ride up and down or cause any problems. Just a bit of extra toe length. The medium width is fine for me. This pair is perfect. I get lots of compliments on all the Hokas. Plus the shipping is very quick for coming across the country. The price is great for what you get.
I have a trip coming up where I will be doing a lot of walking and standing; someone told me all the nurses they know wear Hoka's, so I took a chance and ordered directly from the company. These are lightweight and are comfortable all day long. I go out walking in the cold New England air, and the cold wind doesn't go right through them, the way it does for some regular sneakers.I did buy a half size up, based on recommendations, and am glad I did.
I ordered four pairs of Cliftons since I've worn them for years. After rehabbing from ankle surgery last year, I'm finally able to wear shoes again and can walk normally. I'm finding I detest having the tongue of the shoe tethered to the base of the shoe as it makes the shoe too tight around my foot. No amount of loosening the laces matters. I also don't like the looks of the tongue that is wider, flatter and top-stitched rather than having a nice closed seam.
The Clifton LS is an answer to a dream I've long had, which is for a Clifton with premium materials yet breathability. I've always liked the all leather or all suede Cliftons, but worried they'd be heavy, stiff, and only appropriate for fall/winter. This one has just a hit of leather or suede, which makes it appropriate for lifestyle settings, but the breathable upper makes it way more versatile year round. It does feel high end enough to justify the cost (*sigh*).Feels true to my Hoka size (which is to size down 1/2 from other running shoe brands).
Shoe feels great. Wider toe box than my others in a regular fit. Got these for work because they appeared to be all black. The felt material on the toe and side of heel is extremely ugly. Shoe would be amazing and appeal to more workers if they kept it pure black. It is a grey/blue tint when you look at it and when the light hits it. Sending back.
I've been wearing Hoka's this whole year and my orig one was a kid size 4 and perfect fit for me. I ordered a 5-1/2 of this Clifton L and it's very tight where the shoe tongue is despite having a flexible garter on the sides. These shoes hurt my feet whereas my kids Clifton 9 is a perfect fit. The only reason why I bought the unisex Clifton L is bec of the trip I'm in right now in Chicago where we've been doing a lot of walking. I even asked all my friends to buy HOKA, which they all did, bec of my experience walking in Seoul for over 10 hours a day in my kids' size 4 HOKA which was so comfy. I'm disappointed. My friend bought her Clifton 9 at Dick's and since they didn't have a wide shoe, she elected to buy the regular width anymore at my egging her to buy one. ... MoreI've been wearing Hoka's this whole year and my orig one was a kid size 4 and perfect fit for me. I had been told that surgery was the next option for my plantar fasciitis. I have spent over $1000 on footwear over the past several years trying to avoid that, as it is not a guaranteed fix. These arrived today and all I can say is WOW! The fit, the comfort, the support, the style...... all top notch. I walk on a concrete floor for 12 hours a day and the pain is almost unbearable at the end of the day. It is early to give a full 30 day review, but I felt I must comment now. A future review will follow. Thanks HOKA for giving me hope!!!!
