This is my first pair of Hokas. I always think they're so bulky and just don't understand what's all the hype is about... well, now I do. They're super lightweight yet extremely comfy and feels like it molds to my feet and have more than enough arch support. I'll be running and doing HIIT exercises on these. Hope it will be durable for high-impact aerobics and running.I was lucky to be able to snatch the Impala/Cyclamen in my size first during the Anni Sale and then the White/Blue Glass also became available. So I got both. Initially thought I'd definitely be keeping the White/Blue Glass since it's easier color to match, but I end up keeping the Impala/Cyclamen -- it's such a fun color!

BEST Women's Wide Width Mach 5 shoes for Dental Assist job!

First I had these Mach 5 in Regular width, but after walking around the mall had to return them and exchanged it for a Wide width size and it is perfect! I bought them specifically to wear for work at a Dental Office. I am on my foot at least 30 minutes to 2 hours and walk around them everywhere at work and they are so comfortable. I ordered custom orthotics and tried to replace the insoles that comes with this shoe, but after trying them on chose to keep the original insole since it felt more comfortable. I've been wearing this shoe for months now and it is probably the most comfortable and best fitted pairs of sneakers I've ever worn my entire life! Beautiful and light as air

Beautiful and light as air! I have wide feet and would normally need a wide shoe but these fit great. I also have bunions and this is the only reason I don’t give 5 stars because I will need to be stuffing them with a shoe widening tool to accommodate them. Someone else with bunions had recommended them. I will say that if you do have bunions and do a job where you get relief by sitting and standing they are wonderful. If you have bunions and will be wearing them an extended amount of time you might want to try them in person depending on your needs. These are so beautiful in person and professional looking. Do not buy! Not worth the investment!

I invested in Hokas because they have the reputation of being a comfortable, durable, high-quality shoe. I bought my Mach 5's a little over a year ago, then they sat on a shelf for about 6 months. After 6 months, I dusted them off and started using them to walk the neighborhood about one to three miles, 3-5 times a week. In my book, that does not qualify as excessive use. But with that little use, the soles are already almost all the way worn through and the shoes are giving me foot issues now. Once I realized how worn the soles were, I was 2 weeks past the warranty date, so there's nothing I can do but warn the next customer. Only buy if you want to keep replacing them every few months... In my book, they're not worth the money.

First Hoka shoe, obsessed!

I've been wearing Brooks for years and was disappointed with my latest purchase. I mostly wear sneakers for walking and running (5k, 10k, 13.1m max) Took a risk and ordered these online based off of the reviews I read. Some reviews of the M6 concerned me - they said they run narrow and are stiff and they liked the M5 better... so I was happy to see the M5 was available. White would not have been my first choice but I must say, they are very stylish! They felt like a glove when I first put them on, comfortable and supportive.... Like I was walking on a cloud. Obsessed! I would say the break in period doesn't exist with these because they felt right straight out of the box. I did find that they are great for walking and running on the faster side. When slow running (4.0-4.8 on the treadmill), they feel a little bulky which is odd but I'm not mad about it because they feel bouncy and energizing when picking up speed (5.3-5.8 on treadmill). I have a short stride even though I'm 5'6 so that might be why. It's a joy to run in these. No foot pain. I'm feeling a little shin splint developing but that was going on before I got the shoes and is mostly due to adding on miles too fast. I'm about 10 miles in and I can't believe I ever wore a shoe that was not a Hoka.

Light weight and comfortable

This is my first pair of Hokas in this kind of construction- the materials are very lightweight and the upper is somewhat sheer. They are extremely comfortable and mold to my foot. They seem to be made of a croc-like material on the soles which I presume was done to make them lightweight and to contour to the foot. I am not sure how durable they will be for high-impact sports and running but for walking and casual wear they appear to be perfect and feel so good on. For the NAS price they were definitely worth a try. I bought the neon green and raspberry (not received yet from online order) so not sure which will be the keeper but both are fun colors. I wear a 10.5 and the 11 fit with a heavy sock which is how I intend to wear them.

Lightweight and springy

I typically run in Saucony Rides but have been curious about trying HOKAs. Since I'm a) training for a marathon and wearing out shoes quickly, and b) needed a majority-black shoe for nursing, I decided to go ahead and give the Mach 5 a try. (And I'm very much mourning the fact that I had to buy black, because HOKAs have the BEST color options out there!) I figured if I didn't like them for running, I could always wear them for nursing. I have been VERY please with them for my mid-distance pace runs--the Mach 5 is super lightweight and very springy. They FEEL like a fast shoe. I'm now debating whether I should actually run my marathon in them. I haven't tried them out on a longer 15+ miler yet, but they've been great for fast 10 milers. The ONLY complaint I have (and it's a small one) is that the heel cradle feels less supportive than I'm used to. My heel doesn't slip per se, but I prefer a style that feels a little more locked in and has more cushioning around my Achilles. Otherwise, I'd call this a perfect running shoe. (I expect it to be a great nursing shoe for long hours on my feet, but for now this pair is just for marathon training.)

Morton's Neuroma = Hokas = very happy RN!

RN here. I don't know that any shoe would keep my feet from hurting after a 12+ hour shift, but my feet hurt way LESS in these Hokas. For me, they're the perfect combination of cushiony, stable, and - most importantly - roomy enough in the toe box to keep my Morton's neuroma cool and calm. That's HUGE for me. In addition, I've gotten too many compliments to count. We wear navy scrubs, and the white/blue glass color looks SO cool (although I just now saw the white/flame so maybe...?). Hokas seem to be pretty popular at my hospital, so that's saying something! Haven't run in these yet, but when my other Hokas wear out, I would certainly be confident replacing them with the Mach 5.

Only road shoes for me

Ok, I'm writing this after running in the Mach 5s since late 2022 - I've done three half's, a 15k, three 10ks, and two 5k relays in a Triatholon. These shoes are incredible! Springy and responsive without being over cushiony. Hence this review - WHY DO WE HAVE TO MESS WITH A GOOD THING? I hate the look of the sole on the Mach 6. The whole perk of the Mach 5 was that it WASNT the bubble shoe like all the other Hokas. I think I may buy a few on sale pairs to get me into the next few seasons. Such a disappointment to know this PERFECT shoe might be discontinued bc capitalism is a soulless grid. Super cool. (But yea, these shoes rock - get them in your life).

Switched from Regular to Wide Width Mach 5

I work as a dental assistant and my feet always swells (edema) and I went from having chronic plantar fasciitis on my left feet to now a new Bunion issues on both toes with ongoing Metatarsalgia which hurts a lot.I went to Footlocker and tried on the Regular Width which were so comfortable; I walked out w/ them on. But, once I wore them; I knew I had to switch and order Wide Width due to all my sores and foot pain conditions. I returned the Regular Women's Mach 5 in Black/ White, and ordering a Wide Width. I ❤️ this sneaker so much, I might order second pair, different color, still in Wide Width for Black Friday next week!
