Wider shoes last for increased stability The Hoka One One Men’s Rincon 3 Running Shoes have an asymmetrical tongue, thinner pull tab, and vented mesh upper for better breathability. They also have an extra-light midsole foam with aggressive cutouts and more rubber coverage for durability. The mesh upper is designed for breathability, while the tongue is slim to reduce weight. The heel pull tab is easy to use, and the midsole provides cushioning. The Meta-Rocker allows for a quick acceleration, and the shoes have full ground contact for a smooth and stable ride. There are also strategic high-abrasion rubber zones to reduce weight. The shoes are also wider for increased stability.

3rd pair of Rincons

This athlete slash coach thank you so much !! I recommend to anyone. My next focus will be finding shoes for all other exercises I do.

Good pair of walking/running shoes.

I bought this shoes to use for my trip to Tokyo. It's a city with a lot of walking is needed so a good pair of walking shoes is a must. I've used the HOKA fit size questionnaire to find the size for me. I normally buy an 8.5 wide size for my feet. But according to HOKA I should get a 9 regular. So, I did and it actually was a good size for me. there's like a 0.5 inch gap but I like it that way since I sometimes wear slightly thick wool socks. I'm in the process of breaking in the shoes by going to the gym and using it on the treadmill. The support was a bit stiff at first but then slowly molded to my feet soon after a good brisk walk. Definitely, feeling that nice support. I'm confident now that I won't have any issues with these shoes.

HOKA Running Shoe Remedied Lower Calf Discomfort
16 December 2023

Hoka running shoes continue to impress. Received and worn my new M Rincon 3 shoe. Exceptionally light weight with a comfortable fit. Also, love the variety of colors. Since switching from Asics, Nike, and other brand name running shoes, I don’t foresee giving up the Hoka brand. This is my third pair of running shoes within the past year. I used to receive tenderness and soreness in lower calf which Asics remedied somewhat. After being tested and fitted for surface contact have not experienced pain in lower calf areas.

My Favorite for Road Races

I sincerely love the Rincon 3; Hoka, please keep these sneakers alive forever! This is my 3rd consecutive pair and I'm always stunned by their weight and very thankful for their cushioning! I'm 6'2", >200lbs., and average a mid-6 through low-8min/mi pace; I run 5k-25ks and half-marathons in these sneakers. I really like how these can take a variety of landing zones and stride lengths, while staying agile and reactive. I average ~300miles per pair, which works out really nicely for keeping a single pair through half-marathon training and the subsequent race day.Regarding fitment, they run true IMO, but I have been purchasing a 1/2-size large to allow for toe expansion on the longer distances. Given the thin tongue to cut weight and my personal need to lace tightly, I rock cheapo, adhesive-backed felt tongue pads, which work GREAT in allowing me to lace down really tight, keep my foot locked in place, and benefit from the otherwise lighter-than-air Rincon.I have no issues with these at all. I've run Nike, NB, and Adidas prior, and these shoes fit my feet and running style to a tee! Thanks Hoka!

My First Hoka's
20 March 2024

Alright, I have seen these Hoka Brand shoes all over our hospital and when my wife and I were out shopping around town. I stopped to ask a few of them how they liked their Hoka athletic shoes. Overwelmingly all told me they loved them... But I resisted and bought a pair of GDFY "Gravity Defyer" shoes based on a friends recommendation. Worre them for a couple months and found they were very heavy, didn't add any spring to my step as described and in the end put a solid blister and small bunion on my L small toe! THey wouldn't take them back so I was stuck. But last month I bought these Rincon 3's just to try them out... but I was still very skeptical..WOW was I wrong...these are the lighest and most comfortable walking and gym work out shoes I have ever owned... ... MoreAlright, I have seen these Hoka Brand shoes all over our hospital and when my wife and I were out shopping around town. Not at all like the Clifton
30 October 2023

I run about 70-80km per week and really enjoy running in the Clifton 9's. The only disappointing thing about this shoe is the longevity. I asked a Hoka Representative if there was anything like the Clifton but with a longer life to it. I take a wide shoe so she stated that the Rincon 3 was just like the Clifton 9 but it was lighter and would last longer. I got a 10 wide (just like the Clifton size) and it WAS COMPLETELY different. It's much more narrow and actually a bit longer than the Clifton. It is very light but doesn't support the heel well which isn't a huge deal for most people using them for a trainer I would imagine. It's a very pretty show and seems to be well made but very different from the Clifton and while it may last longer the width is much more ... MoreI run about 70-80km per week and really enjoy running in the Clifton 9's. Oooph!

Super squishy sole. It’s comfortable, but I find it hard to feel where I am with my balance because there’s not normal resistance. I trimmed a corner of the tongue because it was irritating the inner part of the top of my foot. Now that that is out of the way, the liner of the toebox is an irritation too. I hadn’t noticed it before. I was surprised because the toebox is roomy, but this is along the side of my foot, across my big toe. . It’s too bad that these have absolutely nothing between the parts of the inside of the shoe and my foot. They have the potential to be decent shoes, but I wouldn’t buy them again. I’ll have to continue to modify them so I can walk without pain.

Trying to find a good walker

So far I have tried the Arahi 6, the Clifton 8 and 9 and now the Rincon3. I have neuropathy issues in my lower extremities and under pronation issues. Needless-to-say, I have my work cut out for me. HOKA is a preferred brand by my foot DR. The one consistent thing I like across all three models is the weight. I was a New Balance customer for a long time (990 V5 was my weapon of choice) but when I started experimenting with HOKA, the weight differential was huge. When you have neuropathy issues every time you pick up and put down your foot matters and the weight of the shoe becomes more and more important, So, all good in the weigh department. There are PROs and CONs in everything. I gave a 4 on the Rincon 3 because I am still just wearing it around the house and they have yet to be outside but so far I really like them especially the 'v' shaped tongue. Keep up the good work and know that you still have work to do to satisfy people with my issues but I am starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel. Thank-you.

these shoes are great
19 April 2024

Very comfortable, stable shoe. I had a knee replacement 2 years ago and have tried many different shoes. about 2 months ago my other knee started to ache as i injured it on the elliptical machine. I purchased 2 pair of hokas. I wore them around the house for a few days. I noticed when wearing them, my knees seemed to feel better. I usually match my entire outfit, so I put together outfits so I could wear my hokas for a solid week. My knees felt like they did when I was young, these shoes gave so much stability and comfort, I had zero knee pain while wearing them. Today I confirmed my suspicions as I wore a pair of my former favorites, my knees ached all day. Thanks for making these.TC
