I have always loved the Hoka shoes and I have a great pair of hiking shoes that I would love to replicate, but you have discontinued- The Arkali. So I tried these shoes that claimed to be "all gender". Not really thinking of the ramifications. So for all these years the average women's width was a B and men's a D so how do you have an "all gender" shoe? It fit absolutely terrible. Too tall and way too wide. I'm all for inclusiveness, but I think this is a bit over the top.

I bought my first pair of Ultra HI's back in October for a trip to Jordan.Best decision I have ever made when buying a pair of shoes. Hands down the most comfortable boots my feet have ever worn and worth every penny! I've hyped these boots up so much in my family that now my husband and son both own a pair and I just bought my second pair of Ultra Hi's a week ago. My only advice, don't hesitate on buying these, if you do, chances are they will be gone. You see it, you buy it!

Comfortable. Durable. Bombproof. I have 700 miles on mine. I want to buy the new version just because. I won't consider any other. Got me across Leh. Around Annapurna. Around Mt Hood twice. Oh, one detail, you can lace them low, just wrap the laces around once, for a lighter feel as desired. Love these boots. They are a part of me.

Purchased first from hoka.com on drop day only to have FedEx "lose" the package. As popular as the Tors are (and sell higher in resale) I am 100% convinced they were stolen. FedEx tells me the label was "damaged" and could no longer be scanned. Sure sure. Thankfully Hoka refunded me regardless for the undelivered package and I was able to purchase these from Kith instead.Boots themselves are incredible + comfortable from the start. This colorway is a beautiful subtle mix of greens with the leather portion sometimes reading brown in different light. Went up half a size to stay comfy with thicker socks and that ended up being a good choice.Suggestion for Hoka: consider using unassuming clear tape rather than the white "Deckers Brands" tape to make the boxes a ... I love the Tor Ultra hi hiking boots. These are the most comfortable hiking boots I have ever owned. This is my 3rd pair, I was so glad to see them back in stock to order. It is like walking on clouds when I am out hiking with these boots, and being a little higher they give me the ankle support I need. I have inherited problem feet and these hiking boots have been the answer to my foot problems. My only suggestion is the light colored (white, etc) boots are not practical for people who actually hike, as they quickly look awful after a few times out. I use these boots for hiking and backpacking.
I recently purchased the NEWEST TOR ULTRA HIBLK/CHILI PEPPER.... THIS SHOES IS A BIT MORE STIFF THAN THE PREVIOUS MODEL THAT I HAVE.....Because when I bought my first one, It was comfortable The second I put it on.....This new model 20203 I believe, it IS A BIT MORE STIFFAND THE NEW GORE-TEX BOOTIE MATERIAL IS ROUGH ON MY ANKLES. The previous model to this new one was super comfortable. I am not satisfied. Stiff and material is rough on skin.
I really wanted to like these boots, but I can't wear unless Hoka comes out with a wide version. I really like the cushioning that Hoka provides in their shoes, but they have a very limited wide size selection especially in their GORTEX boots. I've been finding myself buying more New Balance lately because they make a wide version of almost every shoe they make. Hoka would always be my first choice but I have to have a wide fit.
I purchased these as a backpacking/hiking boot. Many reviewers were very positive and commented how wonderful these were. I wasn't blown away as they seemed to be. I have been wearing Sky Kahas for a few years and thought these might be better but found them to be very similar in how they felt with regards to plushness and support. Similar enough where I wouldn't wear one over the other. I havent backpacked in them yet and still feel like I am breaking them in but first impressions are meh..... I normally wear a size 9-9.5 in athletic shoes and got these in a 9.5 and they fit well. The fit is roomy as the KAHAs are but that allows for a good hiking sock. I do like the higher ankle support than the KAHAs but have not tried them with my 40lb pack on tricky terrain yet ... MoreI purchased these as a backpacking/hiking boot. Overall a cute, nice supportive boot but not much plusher or supportive than the KAHAs.
I started buying Tor Ultra Hi hiking boots when they first came out. Then I switched to Kahas when I no longer could get the Ultra Hi boot. This year, I found Ulra Hi boots again so bought a pair. Now that I've been wearing the Kaha boot, I like the Kaha better in terms of width for the foot. The Ultra Hi is very narrow, much narrower than the Kaha so now I'm trying to find the right sock for hiking this year that will fit. I like the higher ankle support and the soles are pretty similar. In general, I love Hokas and wear them for everything - work, hiking, walking. Would wear Hoka ski boots if you made them! Thank goodness I have the income to afford a new pair of Hokas for hiking every year as they are worn down to no treads by the end of the hiking season, something boots that cost $170 to $250 from other brands don't do. The fabric does hold up and is very comfortable.
ok this shoe...the BEST. I stalked this website for years waiting for them to bring this shoe back. I originally had the Womens Tor Ultra Hi in the pink color. I love everything about these shoes. They're SO comfortable I refuse to wear anything else. The traction is awesome, I frequently hike with my dog and this feature is very useful. also-living in the Midwest, I actually don't mind winter thanks to these shoes. Paired with wool or wool blend socks and WOW-warm/dry feet no matter the temperature outside. Just buy these okay.
