Bad reflector placement

I have worn Hoka shoes for several years and several marathons. I got my Bondi 8 shoes recently, broke them in, and went for a 16-miler. The reflector over the great toe rubbed a blister under my toenail, and now I have to get the toenail removed and the blister healed before my marathon in 7 weeks. Why put any reflector on the toebox of a running shoe, especially over the great toe?! The Bondi 7 shoes did not have anything on the toebox. I just spent an hour with tweezers and a hair dryer removing the reflectors. Otherwise, these are great shoes. Please, take that reflector off the toebox!

These shoes with insole are the most comfortable shoes! The shoe itself is light, has cushion and kinda a springy step to it. I put insoles in mine because I need the arch support, but the insoles are removable so you can put in your own insoles. I am on my feet for 8-10 hours a day (nursing) so you can imagine that I’m on the go frequently and doing different movements. The only thing I didn’t like, is the back part where my heel is, its starting to fluff up and the material of the shoe are starting to come out. Maybe I have been overusing the shoes but I thought it would last a bit longer. But overall, my feet doesn’t ache as badly as it use to and my legs dont feel heavy/fatigue after a busy shift.

Great show but colors wear quickly on the outer rubber portion. These shows are super comfy and I love the way it hits more surface area than other shoes. I can be in them all day with little to no backpain. I've also never had so many compliments or questions about a shoe! People love them and I can understand why. I did not like however how the bright colors wore off before having them too long. There is also a weird wearing on the heel where friction happens. I have not had that rubbing issues with other brands. I have pretty flat feet with little to no arch and pigeon toed when I walk and LOVE these shoes!

Don’t care for the heel lip
28 December 2022

Love the cushion! Don’t like the firm heel lips that flip out! The heel lips catch on the stools at work when I stand up. They also cause my pant legs to hang up on the heels instead of draping nicely. The tongue is a little too short for my liking, I feel like the laces are right at the edge of the tongue. I have 2 pair of these shoes. The white ones fit better than the black ones. The black ones are cut lower or something & really seem to slip in the heels. The white ones fit nicely though. I’ve tried 2 pair of the black & they both fit they same way. Hoping to get a better fitting black pair. Also hoping Hoka will do away with the heel lip in these shoes!

Great shoe for stability and cushioning
6 July 2022

Really comfortable shoe. I switched to these from the Glycerin 19, which I found much harder under the forefoot than previous models. The Arahi 6 is brilliant. I feel really supported and stable (I have high arched feet) and they are wonderfully cushioned. I never want to take them off. I am not a runner, but I walk some decent distances and am on my feet a lot. The sizing was a bit tricky. I am somewhere between a US 7.5 and US 8. I initially bought the US 7.5 as I heard these shoes run big, but I worried they’d been too tight after wearing them all day, and in Summer, so I exchanged for the US 8. These are very comfortable if slightly (very slightly) big, but not the extent they cause rubbing or blisters.

HOKA ARAHI 6.
21 August 2022

Hoka's Arahi just keeps getting better with each iteration of the series. I've been running on Arahi shoes from the 3 onwards. The exoskeletal heel cup is a neat feature on the 6. It offers slightly more padding internally for the heel - though this has never been an issue anyway. Nice to see the 6 tongue is a bit more substantial than the minimalist tongue first featured on the 5. Once again this was never an issue either. I set a PB 5k on the first run in the 6. For me this says they will go a little faster again when broken in. I get a good 400~450 kms running out of my Arahis before they are retired to a house / walk / gardening shoe. Never had one come apart, fail or stretch anywhere at all. I've never had any discomfort or blisters in any Arahi (And I've had a ... MoreHoka's Arahi just keeps getting better with each iteration of the series. Helpful staff. Happy feet.
3 February 2023

My husband had preciously bought me a pair of Hokas online (not from REI) without me first trying them on. I hated them and sent them back. I’d seen a lot of healthcare professionals wearing them so asked a nurse what she thought about hers. I told her my experience with them, and she told me I had probably tried the wrong style. She told me to go to REI and let them help me find the right style. Turns out, Hoka makes shoes that accommodate your gait and since I walk on the outsides of my feet, all I needed was a different style. She brought me the Arahi and I knew right away that was the problem. REI didn’t have the color I wanted in stock, so they wrote down the info I needed to order from the website. They made it so easy. The shoes are VERY comfy, fit true to size with plenty of room in the toe box, and my feet are now happy. Plus I get a rebate cuz I’m an REI member. Side note. My husband had never been inside REI before and he thought it was the coolest store! I love REI.

It really does support and correct your posture
20 October 2022

I’m an avid walker and walk 2-3 miles daily. I needed a new pair of sneakers, and the salesperson highly recommended Hoka. The first pair I tried was too high and felt awkward but these were immediately comfortable. I could feel them slightly shift my posture to stand correctly while also being easy to walk in. They’re also lightweight. I love walking in them and have already walked many miles. I added my over-the-counter arch support and bought the wide size to support my wide feet. Highly recommend this brand! Make sure to try different styles since they fit differently.

Sole Fell Apart Less Month. Fits great Otherwise
5 December 2022

Part of the sole came off in less than a month. I wear daily to work (teacher), walk, and do a Burn workout couple times a week. No snow or salt on the ground as of yet this year. Will be contacting roadrunnersports for replacement. Otherwise, it fits like a dream-feels like a cloud. They also redesigned the 'pull tab' portion from the earlier version, which is lengthier and easier to grip with your hands/fingers. I am hoping the counter lining (upper heal) section is more durable, as I wore a hole in this are with my right foot within a few months. I had to stuff it with material to not get a blister.

The best sneakers you’ll ever own.
2 September 2022

I was introduced to HOKA shoes 2 days ago in Dick’s sporting Goods when I asked the assistant for good running shoes. I’d never heard of them before, and it helped that there was a customer there who also highly recommended HOKA shoes. I tried them on and loved them, but the price put me off, so I went looking at other stores in the area, and ended up going back to Dick’s to buy them. Nothing compares to this shoe, and that was evident the first time I wore them on my daily 4 mile walk\run. I usually walk more and run less, and the first time I wore them I was able to run more and walk less. My feet usually ache by the time I’m finished, and with my new HOKA’s I had no ache at all on my feet. Completely comfortable, and they look amazing too. I got the light blue ones. These are top notch running shoes, and the price reflects it. I’m a firm believer that you get what you pay for, and I got me the best shoes ever!I’m a size 9, but opted for the 9.5 W and they fit perfectly with socks. My feet feel very supported throughout, and they’re just snug enough so that my foot doesn’t move around inside of them which can lead to blisters. They go on with ease too. They slipped right on easily without the use of a shoe tongue.I have a high arch, and these shoes are made for arch support. You can feel it as soon as your foot slides inside. They just feel so good on your feet. As I started walking, it was a little weird because of how the shoe rolls with your stride, but I was used to it very quickly and it felt so good I started running with them!!! I was able to run for most of the 4 miles I do a day, and that hasn’t been the case for the other running shoes I paid a fortune for before I found HOKA.I’m very impressed, and very happy I went back to Dick’s and bought these. Im hooked on HOKA for sure.
