I think the price is great for what you get. I only buy Holman hardware if I can.. I’ve had so many leaky connectors until I switched to Holman double o-ring products…it’s crazy. I doubt this is exclusive to Holman however.- the product is well sealed and seems like it will stand up to the outdoor conditions.- the physical buttons and controls are pretty decent once you understand what they all do.- the tap timer is programmable via the Bluetooth app which I prefer. I don’t like having always connected IoT devices on my network creating vulnerabilities.- program your schedule and leave it. I think if you’re switching taps on and off in real-time with the app you’re probably going about it wrong. A wifi tap timer is probably better suited.- the tap can be ... MoreI think the price is great for what you get. I only buy Holman hardware if I can.. Be aware that you need to configure the “on time” for the manual run. Don’t set it to such a small time that it becomes annoying to water with a handheld.Cons:- doesn’t seem to be a way to turn on all zones for a manual watering. An additional dial setting for synchronised manual watering would be useful.- with many types of watering systems attached to the timer.. I would like to be able to turn zone 1 to 50% and zone 2 to 75% and have the main tap faucet always on 100%- limiting the software to 3 starts seems very arbitrary. I’d like to be able to add more starts.- I would like a configurable interval schedule option e.g start 9am finish 3pm, watering for x minutes every n hours.

The app shuts down so often and fails to connect, it would be faster to water the yard with a watering can !

I bought this a few months ago so I could run reticulation to a Veggie patch once we'd finished making one.It leaked within 24hrs & water ruined the electrics, so it's now rubbish.

Purchased this unit at weekend and was extremely easy to set up and has worked well.Only mistake I made was, for our circumstances, should have paid a little extra and purchased the 4 way outlet model.
I have a BX4 and a BX2 and overall, I am happy with them despite issues with my watering setup. I guess there are very limited options in terms of Bluetooth timers. WiFi ones are just too expensive at the moment so despite the issues. I’ll be happy to recommend the productsThe app works fine, but it certainly isn’t natural. If you aren’t great with a phone, find someone who can help.My setup on the BX4 and BX2 consists of pressure restrictor to 300KPa, flow discs, weeper hose and hose end sprinklers. I’ll probably switch to a proper irrigation next year.I’ll start off with the bigger issues.1 - If you are going to pair this specifically with the Holman weeper hose and their included flow discs, be very wary that they will produce a very loud high pitched whine ... MoreI have a BX4 and a BX2 and overall, I am happy with them despite issues with my watering setup. I had to end up using the white flow disc to stop it, but that has its own issues. If you only going to use this with some other flow device, pressure regulator or a irrigation system you probably wont have the high pitch whine issues.2 – with the BX4 I ended up having a power/battery issue, I think it somehow getting moisture in the battery compartment or internally which gave me purple warning lights. The purple lights are not described in the instructions but starting working again 2 days later.3 – with the BX2 I am having a intermittent issue where sometimes the watering doesn’t start. I had to mess around in the app to delay the watering by a few minutes after the first “zone” finishes. Anyway I’ll keep monitoring this. I can certainly hear the BX2 trying to turn on and off the zone!Small issues, after 1.5months of ownership it looks like the text and red/green colour is starting to fade
Bluetooth worked just once for the manual function but it did not turn off so had to manually turn tap off. Scheduling program does not work.Very very disappointed
Went throught two of these - the first one lasted 2 days, then one of the 2 channels stopped shutting off (either from the app or directly from the switch on the timer). Brought it back for a replacement - which worked for a couple of weeks before I noticed that it wasn't turning on automatically any more. Pulled the battery compartment out to check the batteries...and emptied half a cup of rusty, muddy water out with them. Needless to say, the electronics inside were completely destroyed. If you get a unit with hardware that holds up, the electronics, scheduling and Bluetooth app work well enough - but effectively keeping the water away from the electronic bits seems like a pretty critical feature of a tap timer to me.
Worked for a little while and then became useless. Even changed batteries. The unit began leaking from the time it was installed. Device now can't be found regardless of all support given eg, hard reset, phone restarting. Nothing! Waste of money. Hopefully I can just return it.
Easy to install and the app was up and running in 2 minutes. Worked OK for 5 days only missed didn't start up at 7 am twice. Then on the 6th day the app will crashes 1 second after it opens. Cleared cached, uninstalled reinstalled same error. "The iGarden app has a bug and failed to open, update the app once the developers has fixed the bug." Last update for the app was Oct 2021. I will be returning this junk.
This worked really well for a month and then became completely unresponsive. Depsite fresh batteries, I was getting no lights, no power.
