Just purchased my EU3200i a couple of days ago and admit was nervous about the reviews with flooding and what not. I have not had any of those experiences. Followed the instructions, added the oil, I did give a couple slow tugs on the cable to try and circulate oil. The cable pull was a little stiff than I was used to (coming from 2 EU2000i's) but after a couple of pulls it fired right up and has fired up consistantly since. I gotta admit, using the App is awesome. I use with my RV and just seeing what the power usage is as you turn things on an off is a game changer. I must say, I was quite impressed at first, it seemed that it was truly a great product. I have complied with everything that the maintenance manual specifies, as to oil change, spark plug and muffler cleaning. I have only used new Rec 90 gasoline. The unit only has 97 hours on it.Until yesterday the generator never gave me a problem and it started on the first pull. It stopped running and I have checked everything as to oil level spark plug etc. All fluid levels are correct and where they should be. It started after a long time of pulls which is not normal. The last times taht it has started it ran for about 20 minutes or so. This is a follow-up to my earlier review:I did a lot of reading about engine flooding and have now gotten to the point where this generator starts on the first pull, even in below-freezing weather.1) Because the temperature is below 35 here most of the time in winter, I changed the oil to 5W-30 after about 1.5 hours of operation.2) I ran the engine for about 1-hour alternating between ECO mode and ECO-OFF with NO electrical load.3) I then ran the generator on and off for about 2 hours at a time for a total of 10 hours. The dealer set the generator up and filled it with fuel and oil. I ran it again when I got it home and connected a small electrical load (heater) and it worked fine. The storm hit but our electricity did not got off. So it was about 5 days before I attempted to restart the generator. It was stored in my unheated garage protected from the elements. I turned the switch to ON and pulled the starter. It did not start on the first pull and would not start on subsequent pulls. I let it sit for about 20 minutes and repeated but it still would not start. I took it to the Honda dealer and they couldn't start it either. What I found was that the engine tends to flood easily, especially if it doesn't start on the first pull. I also found when flooded, if I turned the switch to OFF and did three quick starter pulls and then turned the switch back to ON. It would start on the next pull. I am 73 years old and bought this very expensive generator because of the Honda name and their claim that a fuel injected engine would start reliably and easily. I am very disappointed and hope Honda will help figure out why this happening.At this point

It worked fine for anything below 1800 watts, but depending on the elevation (I live at 5,500’) and density altitude (it can get over 9,000’) on any given day it would struggle to run the 13.5 air conditioner on my RV during the heat of the day (MicroAir soft start installed) which is one of the main reasons to even have the generator. Proper main jet installed, on the 95* days it just couldn’t hang for more than 20 minutes or so. Sure the 3200 is ridiculously expensive but after using it I’m very happy with the performance. And fuel injection. Let me tell you how nice that is. Flip the switch to on and let ‘er rip. Started in one pull out of the box. I bought this generator EU3200i for my Airstream Basecamp last October 2023 to power my AC and use as backup to charge my Lithium batteries. The generator is unreliable. It keeps shutting down. (I have serviced and well maintained it and only use non ethanol gas). There is something quirky about this generator. It shuts down and sometimes will restart, sometimes it will not. I checked every the long list of possibilities, vent, oil, CO2, etc …. It isn’t the problem. It is the most regrettable $3000 I have spent. It is currently at Atlantic Tractor where I bought it, hoping they can fix it. I would trade it back in a heart beat, because I would feel guilty selling it to someone else, because it is unreliable.

It’s a handsome unit, started up on the second pull, and is quieter than my neighbor’s heat pump. I live on a small island, where power outages are fairly common. This unit should be able to handle the critical electrical systems in our house. These units were out of stock across the internet, and our local dealer said they were backordered and unlikely to be available this Winter. So when I came across Acme Tools - and they said they had some in stock, I was a little skeptical. I had never used Acme before, but they looked reputable so I gave them a shot.
