I primarily use this generator for home use as I live in Florida and hurricanes along with tropical storms we experience power outages fairly frequently. This machine handles my needs perfectly with flawless and worry free operation. I’ve owned several different generators and this Honda is hands down far and above all the other ones. Super quiet easy to operate and reliable. I would suggest to anyone looking to buy a new generator spend the extra money and get the best machine money can buy..NUFF SAID!

Used for the 2024 cyclone "bomb" event in Washington. 5 days without power, and ran this generator 13-14 hours/day. I ran 3 radiant heaters, lights, multiple fans and charged three phones. No problem! Wish that the heat this puts out from engine cooling could be separated from the exhaust and recycled to the house. Love this generator!! Only problem is can't link to the Blootooth

Purchased the EU 7000S in February 2023. Started and ran it for a short while each month to keep battery charged. First actual use during a power failure Oct 4 2023. It cut off less than a minute or starting. The problem was a defective oil sensor. I took it to the dealer where it was purchased on October 5, 2023. I am still waiting on a replacement part. The dealer reports that Honda has become very unreliable in supplying replacement parts. I checked with two other dealer/repair firms and got the same story. It is still sitting on the dealer's shop floor waiting on the correct part. I very much regret the purchase and will make every effort to sell it if and when it gets repaired.

Because we had never owned or operated a generator, we were concerned that it would be too difficult for us to operate, but this generator dispelled all of our fears. It was easy to connect, start and operate. It monitors all aspects of the function of the system. The meters are easy to read and determine what is happening with the system. It ran flawlessly.We ran all of the appliances we needed, including an air conditioner, on the system and only used a little less than 1/3 of a tank of gas which gave us a little over six (6) hours of electricity by the time the electricity was restored. The system didn’t strain and ran quietly. Our neighbors commented that they didn’t realized that we were running a generator because they couldn’t hear it run. This is a great generator.

I live in southern Georgia and when the temps started to rise towards the end of May, the generator began “overheating” and wouldn’t run for more than a few hours a day. I purchased a fan and umbrella to try and keep the generator cool, but that didn’t help much. After troubleshooting with the local Honda dealer, it was determined the fuel pump was defective, causing the pump to shut off when the fuel became hot. Thankfully the pump was covered under warranty and since being replaced I haven’t had any issues with the generator. Especially for a generator that is less than 2 months old. 2) While replacing the fuel pump, the technician stated another local company purchased the same generator for their food truck and had the exact same problem with the fuel pump shutting off in the heat. Obviously there is a need for improvement in the quality control process in building these generators.Additionally, prior to the fuel pump being replaced, I was going through 1-1.5 tanks of gas a day. I thought that was normal. Since the new pump was installed, a tank of gas will last me at least 2 days. Had it not been for the heat, I would have never known the generator was burning through gas faster than it should have been.
I use my Generator Primarily for a Backup during power outages which seem to be more common these days. This is a truly amazing product very easy to use and performs very well. We have Well water here and it has no trouble running the well pump and almost everything our house needs. The only time it struggles is when the Hot water heater turns on but that is a large Amp draw, Other than that i cannot over state how good this generator is.

Due to the age of my older unit, I decided to buy a new one and repair the old one for spare. I looked at the 7000is when I went in and studied the features vs. the older, more seasoned 6500s. So, I bought it. The reputable dealer said that it was set-up and load tested and ready to go. When I got it home, I started it up twice and checked the voltage output and was delighted that it delivered 126v/253v at no load! It re-started easily and did not repeat the stoppage. Then, to my surprise, after it warmed up and I checked the voltage output, it produce none! NONE! It did not matter which switch combination I selected either. It produced no output from any receptacle.. I tried once, twice and a third time, but no output. My son, with the manual in his hand, also tried every combination, just to ensure that I wasn't missing something, but still no output. So, with great frustration, I got the old 6500s out and as it warmed up, the voltage stabilized to 115 to 118v and I used it to power the house.After running the 6500s for through two tanks of fuel, I decided to just try the new one and to my surprise, it started, warmed up and produced the correct voltage from the appropriate outlet/switch positions. I used it for the next twelve hours or so and it ran fine and continued to produce the correct voltage. The only thing wrong? It doesn't register any load readings on the display, no matter how high or low they are.The good news is that the 7000is "sips" fuel compared to the 6500s, just as Honda promised.So, can I trust the new 7000is to protect my home from freeze-up, or lost food, or no water from the well, or lights, during the next outage, of which we have many? I bought a set of replacement brushes for the 6500s and will have that back ready just-in-case.

We ran four refrigerator/freezers, one 240 volt well pump, one gas furnace (central heating), a large 75 inch flat screen tv, numerous lights, on a continual basis except during refueling and quick oil changes and it never stopped. Never any issues. So quiet, i had to open the outside door to hear if it was running. You can barely hear the thing even when you are standing 25 feet from it and is so frugal. Running all this equipment, I only had to fill it up with one 25 liter jerrycan every 24 hours. That's barely over 1 liter of gasoline per hour. Sooo practical not to have to constantly worry about refueling. I let the generator sit in my garage over the winter and pulled it out in the spring. Changed the oil for the season, charged the battery, but as soon as I turned the key to on, an error on the screen "OIL" appeared. The unit will not start with this error. I have found out this machine has a sensor inside the oil reservoir and if it sticks the machine errors with the "OIL" word and is done. This is like a $1000 fix since they have to pull the motor and replace the sensor. I only have 100 hours and the machine is junk, and of course at 4 years old out of warranty. We lose power a lot in rural New Hampshire, even in the summer. This generator allows me to heat my house and keep the refrigerator, freezer, and water all powered up. Super easy to maintain with good access to spark plug, air filter, and oil fill/drain plugs. I really like the bluetooth and app. Makes it easy to monitor the maintenance schedule.I expect this to be the last generator I ever buy. We all know Honda's run forever if you maintain them.
