Great for pets and toddlers! So far I'm loving this cleaner. I've had this cleaner for about a month now and have already used it a dozen times or so. Some for general cleaning and some for Pet accidents, and one involving a strawberry smoothie! Yikes! This cleaner has handled everything I've thrown at it like a champ! The strawberry smoothie was no match for it, even on the furniture! Pet pee-pee was cleaned up beautifully and odorlessly. This is my 4th different cleaner because non of my other ones have been up to the smallest challenges. The Drying mode is a godsend too. I love it. The fact that you can kick it on and make some extra passes over your cleaned area is so awesome. The carpet is dry in way less time than a cleaner without that option. I'd say it was pretty dry in like 45 minutes. That time will probably vary depending on where you are, carpet type, how much you clean, etc... but I personally love the feature. The spot wand is pretty cool. My only concern there is that it is the main handle (it comes out by pressing a button on the main unit), so moving it around is probably going to be a little gentler process than some other models where the handle is permanently attached. At least there's a carrying handle on the back of it. The wand has it's own batteries and spot cleaner container, so you don't need to go grab another spray bottle for those stubborn stains, it's attached to the cleaner! The Pet tool works really well, my only gripe there would be that you should be able to attach it to the machine for storage. They provide a bag to store it in, but it would be nice to just snap it to the machine like vacuum accessories, but it's not a deal breaker for me since I don't use it every time. It did help out with that strawberry smoothie on our large ottoman. In all I'm a fan of this cleaner. I don't feel like I'm using as much water or cleaning solution as previous cleaners and it does a better job than anything I've personally used. If you pets, kids, or both, this cleaner is a must!

It's absolutely a amazing I cannot stress how amazing this shampooer is super easy to use super lightweight you can take the handle off there is a wand for pre-treatment love it. It also has a button for a drawing feature that you can use to suck up all the water it leaves your carpet, absolutely clean. The brushes are easy to take out to clean and wash, it does an amazing and I mean an absolutely amazing job. It also came with accessories to clean your couches or any furniture for that matter. A carpet cleaner that keeps its promises

I have just adopted a rescue Jack Russell mix whose chief occupation is to shed. Oliver is a lovely dog, endearing & kind only after the purchase of two additional vacuum cleaners. I decided to go to extremes and purchased a Hoover Smart Wash Carpet Cleaner and now my house is close to pristine. A bit difficult to understand how to assemble and use at first, this carpet cleaner delivers cleaning which has restored color and freshness to the series of oriental rugs which cover my floors. A bit of residue remains in the vacuum head which is in contact with the rug, but it is easily discovered and removed with your fingers when cleaning the vacuum head. Yes, I'd buy it again!

Absolutely would buy it again and recommend it to friends

My last dog was a 70 pound 10-year-old American Bully with bladder cancer. I will let you use your imagination. I feel like I am taking back my carpet with this carpet cleaner. The best part is how deeply it cleans, but a close second is that there is no trigger to pull to release water and cleaner. Push it forward to release water/cleaner, pull it back along the same path to suck the liquid and dirt out. Switch to Dry Only to run over the same area several times and dry it better. Remove the solution container to rinse carpets with water, and dry it again. I haven't even gotten to the removable stain spotter stick. It needs 2 AAA batteries so I haven't tried it yet. HIGHLY recommend.

Holy Moly Does it CLEAN!

So far I've used this on two carpets. Our garage (very tight low profile and thin) carpet and our bedroom ( on a very dens plush pile carpet with 1/2" pile). Both carpets were extremely dirty (hadn't been cleaned in years). Both carpets came out looking almost brand new. I'm beside the fact that I didn't get pictures, but trust me, this thing works great! Oh, and even if you already had the Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe, you've got to upgrade! The Power Scrub Deluxe works great, but wait till you get your hands on this baby!There are some things that I don't like about this new cleaner and I will list them here, but this is just so hopefully someone in engineering is listening and can make changes to the next unit:- Carry handle: So unbalanced! I was going pretty darn slow though so not sure if this can be fixed without a manual override.- Water splashes out of the side (mostly on the left side) past the reach of the vacuum. Enough to leave a long streak the length I've pushed forward. Since it's mostly on the left, I've decided to work my way from left to right to be sure and vacuum up that excess water. Maybe a shield is needed to prevent this.-As with my last unit. getting right against walls on wall to wall carpets is impossible. Luckily those are less traveled areas, but unfortunately since this thing cleans so well, there is a noticeable difference between what is scrubbed and what is not.But WOW! this thing cleans well! I don't think even the professional cleanings we've had in years past did this well of a job! Thank you Hoover!

I LOVE this Shampooer. Too bad it broke after 3 months...

I'm in LOVE with this product. I've had it only 3 months, but I don't know how to live without it anymore!!! I can keep it filled and ready to go, and it is as easy as using a vacuum to treat pet puddles when they occur. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and does a WONDERFUL job!!! Better than the large units that you might rent at a grocery store to shampoo your carpets with- and owning it makes me wonder how i ever thought that spraying and soaking up carpet cleaner along with my pet's messes was adequately clean in any way!!!Just after the winter ice storm/ polar vortex in February when I was using this thing 3X a day as all my pets refused to step outside in the highly unusual cold, it just stopped working. But this seems to be the way that we do business in the US these days... I just wish that we could do more to make things last and be repairable.

I love it! So easy to use! It works great and my carpet looks, smells and feels so clean. I love walking on it barefoot.The dirty & clean water are in two different compartments, never mix and right there so you can see if and when it will need changed out. It also changes in sound in an obvious way when it is full so you know.It is so simple and easy to clean out and refill for the water changes! The cartridges for the clean water, dirty water and soap go back on very easily.... And the brushes!! it's amazing! The cover comes off and you can just pick up all the animal hair and fibers that it has picked up then just snap the cover back on.I have always bought a different popular brand before and I guess I just didn't know better but I do now! MUCH BETTER THAN EXPECTED AND EASY TO USE

Even before I received this carpet cleaner, I went to a large site that sells to millions to read some their reviews to get an idea of how this machine worked. When I read some of the one star reviews, I was actually afraid to even try to use this cleaner. But I finally got up the courage to read all of the instructions and see for myself how it worked. I was very pleasantly surprised with the ease of getting the machine ready to use. Very simple. Then I started using it and found it incredibly easy to operate. I could see the dirt it was picking up as I went along cleaning a very dirty carpet. I used clean water as directed to rinse the carpet and saw much more dirt being picked up. The Best steam cleaner

I love this machine! *Used to use a competitors brand that starts with Biss* THIS machine is so easy, you just put the solution/water in their designated tanks & push it back & forth.. It does all the work & dries carpet very quickly! My other steamcleaner was always so difficult to clean. This machine is Easy to clean, every part pops on/off easily. Seriously like 5 minute clean up max. Purchased march 2021. My first one didn't work right so I emailed customer service - they emailed me back quick with replacement. When I received the new unit I boxed the old one up & they scheduled pick up. So, not only would I recommend this machine, but I also highly praise Hoovers customer service team. If you're deciding between brands, HOOVER is the way to go!!!

I purchased this carpet cleaner to replace the most recent in a long line of less expensive alternatives. This machine is by far the best I've used so far, including other lower priced Hoover options. The automatic feature mixes just the right amount of detergent and water. I was prone to over saturating the carpet or mixing too much soap into the water creating a crusty feel in the carpets, but having the machine mix the right amounts works wonders. I like having the easy option of popping out the separate soap container to rinse the carpet as well.
