First and honnestly largest flaw, the additional buttonā¦. You can only map it to a button on that same side. So you cant map the left back button to the āBā/Back button. That is honnestly my biggest issue. The other 2 issues are āhardwareā related that i woul gladly pay an extra $20-30 for if they were includedā¦. No vibration/feedbackā¦ really??? Everything newer then N64 has this featureā¦. And theres no Gyro/Motion sensors. Otherwise these are great controllers to gove more of a xbox confort feel while playing in handheld mode. Hopefully theres a v2 out that includes the mentioned missing hardware features.

Ok Iāve read some of the other reviews and it always surprises me that people DO NOT read the description of the product before buying. Then give it bad reviews. This controller does everything it says it will do. I havenāt had any issues with it but I just got it. A lot of the Nintendo controllers seem to drift after a while bc of debris getting in except my pro controller. I havenāt had the issue and hopefully I wonāt.They could have included rumble and gyro in this but it would have been more expensive. I like these controllers especially the turbo mode.

Feels great in the hands and the buttons have remained responsive. Love the under dual external trigger buttons on the bottom. Miles better than the stock Joycons for extended playing sessions. I got the red color. Fits perfect in reg switch, but feels like it's more tailored to the OLED model in terms of the Switch screen being flush with the flat area of the controller. It does not fit flush in front with the Original, but can be easily overlooked as you focus on how great it feels to not have a "dig in" feeling into your hands as you play.

Great choice as alternative controllers for joy cons in handheld mode. Very comfortable controllers for long gaming sessions. Easy to grip and feels like youāre playing on an actually controller.Absolutely amazing PokĆ©mon themed design. I like the character art of Pikachu and Lucario and the complementary color scheme. Although the controllers do not have all joy con functions such as HD rumble, gyro, and NFC reader, it is still a great pick for the price. Regardless, I would suggest purchasing if you often play the Nintendo Switch in handheld mode.Overall, I enjoy using the Hori Split Pad Pro and would highly recommend to buy.

This allows me to travel somewhere with a laptop and use the split pad pro to play games on Steam if I want without needing to bring a separate controller or an additional adapter for the JoyCons (which I'm not even sure is a thing since I have not felt the need to try using JoyCons for PC gaming). The cord of the attachment is conveniently a decent length too.I used $30 worth of reward certificates on Best Buy to lower the price of this thing to around $55 with tax. I'm not sure I would be OK with paying $80+ for this. I think $70 or 60 would feel like a more fair price given how long the Split Pad Pro product has been available for and that this set is just adding the attachment.

My only slightest gripe which isn't even really an issue at all is that if you're playing a 3D game, the edges of the analog stick are ridged, and it's somewhat noticeable if you give it the intention. Once you get used to it though, it's perfectly fine.The minus and capture buttons are also mushy as opposed to a tactile press, which is surprising when you first use them, and it takes some getting used to, but like the analog stick aforementioned, they're not that hard to break in.I fully recommend this product for all lovers of platformers.The ONLY reason I'm taking one star away is that my shoulder buttons both got stuck for no apparent reason. I'm assuming something went defunct with the Joy-Con and would appreciate it if HORI could get back to me as to why this happened. (and whether or not something can be done about it)

However i do have bigger hands and with the original switch attached controllers my hands would get that tingling numb feeling only after a little bit. Will with this thing those days are over! Amazingly how wider these make the switch actually feels SO MUCH better! Way more comfortable to hold and makes the entire switch feel even more premium! These are light weight but feel of a premium build! The joysticks are AMAZING! Really smooth and feel like a high end controller. D pad is responsive and all the buttons have a nice push to them. I got the black with red lettered buttons. matches my grey switch well. Do not hesitate to get this! ...Ā MoreA game-changer!!
