I'm an avid gym user and a cardo nut and this unit was purchased for home use when my three kids and their schedules wouldn't allow me to get to the gym. Had I known the console replacement price was this spendy and that it would fail down the road I wouldn't have purchased this. This is my 2nd review as my 1st review was deleted from this page. I used this elliptical machine a handful of times and one lower arm snapped off - this is a welded piece keep in mind. I barely used it and it's already broken. I'm back to using my 15 year old ellpitical which I have never had problems with. To make matters worse, the part is on backorder so its just sitting in my living room collecting dust. I'm upset with the product itself, the customer service, and now the website for deleting my review from last week. I think I'd prefer to just get rid of it at this point.

I used this elliptical a handful of times, maybe 5 times, and the bottom collar snapped off of the lower handlebar. This piece is welded. I'm currently using my 15 year old elliptical because my brand new one broke almost immediately. I'm extremely disappointed and this has turned my house upside down as I currently have 2 ellipticals in my living room. I use my elliptical a few times a week and I have no confidence that this will last even a year, much less the 15 years my old elliptical has lasted. Seems like this was made extremely poorly and I'm debating returning it altogether because I don't want to deal with this problem in another few months.

The Horizon EX59 was slightly higher than that price target but was still recommended in reviews I read as a great value. I completely agree. It only took a little over an hour to setup and was fully ready for use on the first power-up. Axles were pre-greased and the machine is very quiet. It has some simple programs, but I just use in manual mode to set a resistance level and my own time goal. We went to slide the upper handle bars down onto the lower handle bars and they do not fit. The upper ones have a defect in the metal that won't let them slide into place. We are hoping this is a quick fix but so far the number on the booklet directed my spouse to go online and fill out a form with the company that does the parts and we haven't heard back yet. In the meantime I am using it without the arms and love everything else about it so far. I just really want the arms to work. Be ready to have some help otherwise :) . I started to put the machine together which was entertaining for me since I like to put things together. The directions were simple to follow & it was a breeze. I did struggle with one particular step towards the end however and that was aligning one of the pieces to match up with the drill hole. That part was frustrating the most but I managed after 40 mins of continuous movement of that particular piece. Anyways all the parts are heavy & sturdy which makes it good quality. That same night after putting it together I started to use it & lost about 720 cal in a little over an hour. I was quite delighted! I use it pretty much every day.. I’m here to get my moneys worth out of this machine! This machine has been a great investment for myself! I enjoy working out & If you’re only beginning your journey, this machine will work great for you too! There are 10 resistance levels. I’m on level 4 at the moment & I have about half of a year prior to this machine working on an elliptical :)
I bought this elliptical seeing it had good ratings and I loved it for about 6 months, but then the console electronics stopped working properly. Anytime I hit the start button to begin a workout it didn't so anything. Without being able to "start" a workout none of the other functionality of the machine worked. Horizon customer service was useless too. Waste of money.
Purchased the Horizon EX-59 in January of 2019. Love the different exercise levels, the many cubbies to store phone, water, remote, etc, the price. About three months ago, I went to program a workout and when I hit the START button, it shuts off the console. It doesn't matter what I program, whenever I hit the START button it shuts off. My husband measure the voltage and it doesn't change when I hit the START button so the problem lies in the motherboard. The thing is, I am an outside runner and only use the Elliptical on severe weather days so MAYBE I have used it 25 times since purchase. Having to pay $50 just to get a phone diagnosis and then more money if someone comes to the house.
I purchased the elliptical as well as my treadmill. Everything came in and put it all together and instantly had issues with the elliptical not tracking distance, calories or rpm. Contacted customer service and tried calling it’s now been 3 months haven’t gotten any response from the emails Iv sent or messages! Very poor service. But I still use it but sucks not knowing how far Iv walked or what I burned. Shame on your customer service. Do better!!!!
