This game is just short of a masterpiece. Huge open world with tons of things to do and see. It is a challenge and very fun to play. Definitely recommend to anyone that likes open world action, it’s up there with elements as seen in Breath of the Wild, Mass Effect, Biohazard, Fallout and so many other titles but still unique in its own way. Loved the first one and am just as happy with this one. My only regret is that I don’t have a PS5 and OLED to enjoy this on.

Like any good sequel, it doesn't fix anything that wasn't broken but still adds on enough new gameplay mechanics to avoid feeling stale. The character developement is beautiful - You can't help but feel proud after seeing Aloy and her friends grow - Working together to save the world.Exploration: The world of Forbidden West is huge and it's definitely worth it to slow down and explore. Mount up and take charge, Cauldrons, Side Quests, Machine sites and Rebel bases are everywhere. As well as new settlements occupied by interesting people to say the least. The exploration alone will take you some time to fulfill, but once you take it to the skies, the view is something to be simply amazed by.Overall: This game is beautifully designed - You can tell how much effort was poured into this software - I'm still running through, but I am enjoying every second of it - There are some tear shedding moments, but there are also times of victory and celebrations. I definitely recommend this game; literally to anyone who has inner rage they need to let out -- Or if you just want to escape from reality for 30+ hours.
A masterclass in beautiful sequels.Absolute gem of a sequel that builds on to the already well-established foundation of Zero Dawn.The scope of the entire game has been scaled up the max. The graphics are generational (even if it's also on ps4), the animations are vastly improved, the open world feels drastically enhanced and feels 'lived in'.The quest design feels great, negating the few bad puzzles that you'll run into through it's runtime. Tl;dr - If you enjoyed Horizon Zero Dawn in any capacity, you will be floored by this game. Forbidden west picks up right at the end of zero dawn (highly recommend playing HZD first) You will get a summary of the events in the first game, as well as a refresher of some returning game mechanics. Take what’s good about the original, add some more layers/depth, throw out some stuff that didn’t work in the original and voila. Exploration, world traversal, melee combat, npc interactions, world activities, enemy diversity, UI… they have all been expanded or improved on substantially over HZD.Bottom line: if you can’t tell, this is a definite recommend. I am blown away by this game. I would buy this game twice before I played another hour of failed AAA garbage.Thank you Guerrilla Games, and anyone else involved with this game. Thank you for showing us quality releases can still exist.
