Could be about 6 inches longer. I'm 5'11". And have to stoop just enough to cause back pain.(I do have some physical issues). Extra bit of length on the wand would be perfect. Other than that, does a bloody good job. Gas lasts for ages. But don't expect to eradicate weeds in one go. Couple of passes a week apart, will do the job

Don’t buy it

I’ve bought two of these ‘things’. First use absolutely fine, got the job done and environmentally great. Problem is, the next time you might want to use it it won’t work. “Disclaimer, it was at least 6 months between uses”. I would suggest that ‘O’rings in the tap and/or seal to the gas-can deteriorates and renders the product useless.

Fun Backyard Tool

I was super excited to get this product and use it on the many weeds growing through our many brick paths on our property. It absolutely did not disappoint!! I now have several friends wanting to borrow this or purchase one for themselves. I now look forward to pesky little weeds popping through so I can scorch them! =P

Great for weeds in pavers

This is very good for getting rid of weeds in pavers and it is well made. Haven't had it long enough to see if there is much of a problem with regrowth, but it DOES have the advantage that it burns up the seeds so it gets rid of the problem of seeds sprouting up. One downside is that for weeds like clumps of grass you do get the black 'stump' left so you need to water blast that away. Would buy it again if I needed to. The delivery was very prompt.

Great tool for the job when used regularly.

Easy to use, happy with the build quality and just the right length for blasting the weeds between the pavers. I have been doing nothing more than briefly passing the flame over the path prior to sweeping (once per week) and it seems to be working well to keep things neat without pumping chemicals into the garden. Havent used it on larger established weeds yet (dont have any!) but good for the teeny ones just popping up.

HotDevil Weedkiller Wand

I have been using one of these wands for years. This Christmas I have bought them as gifts for fellow gardeners and family because they are great for the weeds in paving and hard to get at places. Best time to use is when everything his wet...steams the offending plant and reduces the risk of burning anything else...just love The Devil

Kill weeds the easy way.

My exiting Hot Devil weedkiller gave up the ghost, and the price wanted by local hardware stores was pretty high. Found this one on E-Bay - same quality and we haven't had a problem. Got more Gas Mate cartridges at Coles Supermarket - and one lasts quite a while. Saves mixing and spraying poisonous weed killers.

Mitre 10 price not as advertised. Gas cyl????

Just purchased. Lovely neighbour picked up for me. Was not the price as advertised and had to pay extra for gas cyls. Also tried turning can the direction instructions said ( after lining up black square) but it actually rotates to the right if holding wand by handle in you left hand! AND only rotates a very small distance not as directions seem to insinuate. Instructions need correcting especially for novice users. Otherwise, so far I love using “ it” but have “ fried” weeds twice so far expected them to lie down and die but ..... still waiting.
