This was such an exciting race track because it gave us a challenge. I was the first one to get the car to do all three loops but I could not get it to land in the bucket. While the adults could achieve occasional success after a few attempts, was rarely achieved by 5 & 6yo's. More fails than successes which was very frustrating. Intended to return and replace/refund but one piece already broken within 4 days of usedue to weak plastic materials and suggestion that the track can be switched between Positions after initial build. Very disappointing. Also didn't realise could not connect to existing track but is a stand alone stunt piece really. This would be ok...if it worked.

My grandson loves Hot Wheels so I gave him this Track Builder Unlimited Triple Loop Kit to play with on Spring Break. The kit comes with all of the pieces needed to build the track & loops plus comes with a Hot Wheels car. The picture instructions are easy to follow & he got everything built in about 20 minutes. Then came the moment of truth….he pushed the lever on the launcher….but the car only went partway up the first loop & then fell down. He tried again & the car fell off the track right away. It took quite a bit of trial & error to find the exact amount of pressure to use on the lever but when he finally got the car all the way around all 3 loops & into the bin, there was much cheering! I bought this toy for my 8 year old son to play with as he is a big fan of Hot Wheels, the box it comes in is big 46x36x10 cms.It was quite hard to get into the box and I would suggest that an adult opens the box and removes the contents as the cardboard is very tough.Once opened the box is like a tardis, there is a lot packed inside as I hope the photos include shows.The instructions are very easy to locate and there is also a large picture of the assembled track included as well.Having removed the plastic bands from some of the pieces it was very easy to follow the instruction booklet and begin assembly.You have to pay attention to the numbers and letters on each piece to assemble but once you get your head around the method it went together in about 10 ... My son was able to consistently make the car complete the three loops but getting it into the bucket was a challenge. Typically, the car soared above and beyond the target. But when he actually hit the bucket, there was a sense of accomplishment.Configuration 2 was a greater challenge as the distance between the ramp and the bucket was much longer than configuration 1. This was a favorite setup, as my son loved making the car fly. It seemed like distance became the goal instead of accuracy.Configuration 3 was much less chaotic than the other configurations. Using gravity as the accelerator instead of the launcher, the car’s speed and corresponding flight were much less volatile. While the accuracy greatly increased, my son preferred the uncertainty that accompanied using the launcher in the other configurations.We tried a variety of vehicles with varying levels of success. Some could make it around the loops but never had enough momentum to reach the target. The best hit rate was with the car that came with the set.As it may take several attempts to actually land in the bucket, we scattered food storage containers around it and assigned mystery points to each. When a car landed in the container, you got that many points. Whoever scored the most in ten trials was the winner. We also stood up action figures in the target area to see who could knock the most down.The setup itself takes up a significant amount of space so unless you have a dedicated play area, you probably need to disassemble it when not in use. Fortunately, the peripheral pieces all simply attach to the main triple loop piece, which has a handle for easy transportation. As the loops do not need to be taken apart, subsequent setup for the next play session is a breeze!All in all, this is a versatile toy that can be combined with other sets and also can serve as the centerpiece for custom challenges. And having cars flying through the air is a real son-pleaser.

Bought this for my son for a gift. Easy enough to set up but no matter what, could not get the car to go through any of the loops. The launcher doesn’t work at all and it isn’t defective. Just to difficult to use. We have other hot wheels and have never had this hard of a time getting a toy to work. My son is 8 years old. We tried different types of pressure when using the launcher and different cars based on what other people were saying in the reviews. We will be returning this and we have a very disappointed kid.
