This is a great way to try the ambient lightning powders. I was reluctant to buy a single powder for $52 CAD, and some how convince myself that 3 for $67 was a good deal. I love using dim light as an all over powder to give life back into my face, especially after using matte foundations. I have oily skin, but I hate how flat matte foundations make my skin look. For oily skin girls, keep in mind that this is a finishing powder, and not a setting powder. It will not prolong the wear of your foundation. Because the effect is so subtle, the effect of dim light is gone as soon as any oily breaks through. As for incandescent and radiant light, I don't like them because they are not what I wanted when I made this purchase. Unlike dim light, incandescent and radiant light have glitter, sparkles, or whatever you want to call it in them. Incandescent light makes a nice, subtle highlight, though, so I use it quite frequently. But radiant light pulls orange on my skin. If I wanted a bronze-shimmery glow to my cheeks I would prefer Nars Luster. If you are a makeup junkie interested in trying ambient lightning palettes, this is a great way to go. Looking back I should have only bought dim light, but I'm not disappointed enough in the other two colours that I would return this product. But if you don't buy a lot of makeup and/or can't appreciate subtle additions to your makeup application, this is not for you, because most people can't see any differences between when I wear dim light and I don't. So before you buy it I would ask yourself, "Am I willing to spend over $50 on makeup that only I can see?" My answer? "Yes!"

A little goes a long way!

I absolutely LOVE my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette Volume II. The most amazing thing about it is that you don't need to use a lot of the product to get the desired outcome. I usually use a good amount of makeup, but this palette is perfect for those who don't wear as much or have trouble with skin issues.

Beautiful product!

I love everything about this lighting palette. Individually, each shade does a great job giving the skin an overall highlight or glow. When the three shades are used together, I get this gorgeous glowing look that makes my full coverage foundation look soft and glowing. I've used this with drug store foundation and high-end foundation. The result is the same every time. It makes every foundation I've tried it with look better. The package is nice but it does have a warning that the product is fragile, so I'm probably not going to take this on vacation with me. I would hate to see it break.

I made the mistake of picking up a travel size Hourglass blush about three months ago and got hooked. I waited to pick this up until the fall sale. It's exactly what I expected. The first deepest shade is the perfect bronzer for my fair skin; the incandescent (middle) is a beautiful, subtle, non-sparkly illuminator; the first offers a soft warmth. Once I discovered these and did some research on the amazing interweb, I really wanted the unlocked palette. By the time I realized it was re-released, I missed it on Sephora but found it elsewhere. Great finishing powder

I love the flexibility of the bronze shade. I can use it as a bronzer for ligh to medium skin tones and as a highlighter for deep skin tones. The finishing shade has fine glitters and isn't overpowering. The highlighting shade is also very fine. Great value for your money.

Holy Grail …

This, THIS … is my Holy Grail. Absolutely Fabulous. I get repeated compliments when I use this (which is now everyday) and I have recommended it to those dear to me (and refuse to share the secret with those who are not - because I am selfish that way). If you are on the fence about this one - don’t be. Just get it, you won’t regret it. I am showing signs of ageing (quite a few, if I’m honest) and this gives me the light reflecting “glow” that is not the blaze of a highlighter and not the muffling effect of powder … just lovely glowing skin and in the perfect mix of shades to use for every area of your face and jaw line. I gave into the hype but ultimately ended up returning. Here's the thing. As the name suggests, this is all about creating/reacting to lighting. If you happen to, idk, host your own TikTok or YouTube channel or find yourself working as a news anchor, this is probably a *great* investment. Lenses and lighting are a major element of the efficacy of this product. If, however, you're looking for something to have an "IRL" impact on your face, there are better products out there. Some are less expensive, and some (Givenchy Prism or Cle de Peau illuminating powders, for instance) are more expensive, but they'll all have a much more noticeable impact on your face — without a camera involved — than this pallette. glowing skin

I absolutely love Hourglass palettes - however I think that this is their best yet! - the colours in this volume 2 palette are bang on for my Indian skin tone. The finish looks illuminated and gorgeous. you don't need loads of this either. Initially I thought it was too dark, but you can build up the layers. well worth the price tag.

my number one product

I'm somewhat of a makeup addict and have every highlighter in setting powder and God's creation LOL. I bought my first one of these years ago and to this day have not found any product that comes even close to this one. I also have all of their individual compacts. I use this palette primarily for highlighting purposes and while it isn't a blinding in your face highlighter like many products that have come out since it is the most flattering on my medium or light to medium skin tone. It also takes years off of my face. I am somewhat old now being 47 but do look much younger as a direct result of this palette. The other individual shades in this line I used for different purposes. Even though it's white it's more of a translucent color so works great while brightening up your under eye. there is another one of their shades that I use for all over setting that isn't a part of this palette but if you use the products made by this company and nothing else you will be using the best of the best and it will meet anyone's needs. even there liquid foundation and primer are outrageous. Best that I've used. I keep waiting for them to come out with something else but what could they possibly come out with to add to perfect line of products that they have. the only thing I don't use of theirs is the blush because I'm unwilling to pay $50 for any kind of blush. Most days I don't even use it at all because I have bronzer. especially those loud pink shades of blush LOL. I don't want to look like a clown
