These filters are perfect for environments where dust is common, as they require less frequent cleaning and maintenance than traditional filters. Additionally, the hardened, anti-static top layer is water-repellent, stain- and scratch-resistant, and easy to clean when stains or fingerprints occur on the surface. The UV filter blocks unwanted ultraviolet rays, reduces haze, and enhances clarity. Furthermore, the UV filter serves very well as a protective glass for the lens. The new professional Anti-Static Filters from Fusion Antistatic are made in Japan from carefully selected silicates that are meticulously melted and blended to create high-performance optical glass. Hoya then applies utmost care and precision to coat the enhanced 18-layer Super Multi-Coating (on both sides) formula, which significantly reduces or eliminates reflections on the glass surface and results in a clear high transmission rate. This means that the filter has virtually no impact on the color balance, contrast, or clarity of the final image. The filters feature a lightweight, one-piece, low-profile aluminum frame to hold the glass. This one-piece design allows the filter to maintain a perfect parallel alignment to the sensor plane for maximum sharpness, while the flat shape eliminates vignetting when used with ultra-wide-angle lenses.
