Well above expectations. I previously had a wall mounted hose reel from the same manufacturer, in fact I have had two, both of which suffered the same fate, they fell off the wall. Thai one although wall mounted has a very different mounting system in which the hose reel pivots on a shaft, a very much better idea and I am sure it will last very much longer specially since the auto re-wind allows for the hose pipe to be cleaned with a cloth as it is re-wound. I would recommend this to anyone

One issue was that having installed the initial one delivered, on second try water flooded out of the interior. Fortunately a previous review I read suggested this was a fault and so I knew to ring up and have it replaced. No issues in arranging collection and redelivery of a replacement which so far is working very well and just as I hoped. Two points to note, it is quite large and I may have tried the same product with a smaller length of hose if I considered it. But really the only criticism is the wall mount. Really pleased with the quality and ease of installation. The box it comes in has a template printed on it to use for drilling the mounting hole; very helpful. Note that it does not come with the spray/watering gun; the pictures on the box can give the impression, falsely, that it does come with the spray/watering gun.So much better than the old hose reel we used to have. Neat and tidy and very simple to operate. Extends and retracts as expected. It looks robust enough but of course time will tell.
This is a seriously big piece of kit, much bigger than expected. It appears to be really well made and the auto action seems good although I haven't had the opportunity to extend it fully.I would warn buyers that this is quite a heavy item and I personally did not feel that the fixings supplied were good enough for longevity. I used my own fixings which are 6mm x 75mm Stainless Steel screws and 8mm x 50mm nylon plugs which gave a really secure fixing. The 4.5mm x 50mm zinc plated screws and 6mm plugs were not good enough and I cannot help feeling that the cost of better fixings to the manufacturer would be minimal when you consider their buying power.

Xmas present so not used yet. Had one previously that worked well until it stopped recoiling the hose - they are difficult to get repaired. Went for the same one because it will hopefully be able to go in the same place. The first one did come with fittings that weren't sturdy/long enough to fit it securely on the wall so used own. Not sure if I've made the right choice to get another - time will tell. It's also quite expensive but best price on Wickes.
Purchased to replace a hozelock hose I've had over 25 years and has just started bubbling. (Bit disappointed it only lasted that long really!!!!!) I decided to treat myself to this model to ease the act of winding and unwinding. The quality feels great and is simple to use. Saves a lot of effort. Easy to mount but in all honesty when I drilled the correct size holes and used the plugs supplied the screws which were supplied weren't very good. The wouldnt tighten into bracket sufficiently to hold the mounting bracket on the wall. And I am a very competent diyer! Although I've been wrong before! I removed the screws supplied and replaced with my own and it mounted perfectly. Other than that it's excellent. Not overly stiff like the older ones or it wouldn't reel up proper!y. Does exactly what it should if you treat it right. Recommend that you buy the next size up from what you might think you need unless you are 100% certain. Very few auto-reeling products of any kind work well when taken to their limit so having some spare on hand is immediately beneficial to its operation and a touch of future proofing added.
