HP 65XL Original Ink Cartridge, Tri-Color (n9k03an)

even though it is a true HP XL ink cartridge the printer would not even recognize that it had been inserted into the tray. after multiple of temps resetting the printer reinserting the cartridge trying multiple times to get it to work it still does not work. and I'm sure they're not going to take it back because it's opened and I ordered it months ago.

Buy HP and buy XL

I figure HP is the best source for ink cartridges for an HP printer. Have never had any problems in all the years I have been using it. Buy the xl cartridge. Compare the price difference to the difference in the number of pages they each print and it just makes good sense to get the bigger one. It will save you a lot of money in the long run. Just pop out the old cartridge, pull the protective tab off the new cartridge and pop it in the printer, just like you do with the regular replacement cartridge. The quality of printing will invariably depend on your printer and not the ink cartridge.

Excellent quality ink- long lasting and so glad I called ahead to our local Staples. It was an important printing job and I needed the ink NOW!! Melvin took my call at our Crestview Staples. He was so polite and efficient and checked on whether the ink I was looking for was in stock- he said he would hold my ink cartridges at the check out. He was as good as his word! We also looked at a few other items with the help of Matthew - this store has the greatest staff! Thank you Melvin for saving the ink and the quick check out! And Matthew for helping us too.

I still have my fingers!

Always good. Always compatible, of course, that is how HP designs it! It would be nice if at least online it offered the different combination options like 2 blacks, or 2 color. At least it is not in the plastic finger amputating packages at other retailers!

Ink

Well, I have not installed our used it yet, but..If this is actually an HP product, then I would recommend it. I suspect it is and not a knock off from where ever (which there are a lot of products that are such on eBay). Comparatively, it appears to be a good value but all ink is way over priced. If it last long (being a XL type) and produces good quality printed material, which is what i would expect from HP products) then it has quality. Who knows at this point except the seller?

Little Flower

Good quality and good deal! I bought 2 HP printers years ago. One of them is still in the box unopened. Guessing having a backup is to have peace in mind. Same as purchasing spare XL ink in hand. I like to XL rather than regular because XL prints more and lasts longer.

Not really worth it

Prints pretty well, but it runs out quickly and sometimes just dries up even when there’s some left. I’ve never had to replace ink this frequently, and I do less printing now than I used to. It feels kind of like they’re trying to manipulate people into joining their automatic ink program by making it a hassle to purchase ink the normal way.

Open Box, Big savings

Buying HP cartridges is stressful because the factory ones are so expensive, and the XLs, while a better buy, even more so! But if you load a bad third-party cartridge, the printer balks at it, so you hate to take a chance to save money and then end up throwing the whole cartridge away. . So these open box XLs (I bought a color and a black ink cartridge) at half the price but still the HP factory cartridges were a great solution.

Time and money waster

Do not purchase this item until the moment you need it. When you buy it, it's probably already been stored somewhere for who knows how long (judging by some reviews probably warehoused somewhere that was too hot and dried up the ink). What other reason could there be for a brand new cartridge to not work on a printer that was printing just fine with the previous ink cartridge? I bought an extra to have on hand so I had it for maybe 3-4 months stored on a cabinet shelf. Both the tri-color cartridge and black only cartridges failed to print on the first 10 attempts, fresh out of the package. That's with me troubleshooting and running all the diagnostics, cleaning, and test prints that support recommended. disappointing

Low in stock for HP 65XL ink cartridges. Has been that way for several months? Nobody can tell me why. I also purchased awhile back photo paper for my printer. The fella that (did not help) knew nothing about photo papers. When I went home it would not work on my printer. He knew nothing.
