I have utilized HP products for well over 30+ years, Desktops, notebooks, scanners, printers etc. I work with legacy electronics and needed a new Multi function printer scanner, that was capable for Windows 10 and actually back to Windows 7 Pro. Although officially Windows 7 is not supported, understandably, this All in One was operationally listed as Windows 7 compatible. In good faith, I ordered this machine, the buying process was excellent, the delivery was faster than I expected, and arrived days before it was listed.Packaged very nicely, new methods to extract from the shipping box, and well protected by excellent packaging.I carefully had perused the HP site to download the software needed, did not elect to go with any Cloud features, and desired only to ... MoreI have utilized HP products for well over 30+ years, Desktops, notebooks, scanners, printers etc. I work with legacy electronics and needed a new Multi function printer scanner, that was capable for Windows 10 and actually back to Windows 7 Pro. It even matched with my very favorite electronic file cabinet software Paperport, which I have had for almost 30 years in various versions. The scanning, the printing have been flawless up to this point, and I am extremely pleased with this 7955e. Multi page document feeder does not 'dual feed' pages, as was the experience in the past with some multi-function machines.I like the fact that the print heads are built into the ink cartridges, such as with my original HP 722, yet as the years progressed, newer units with separate print heads had problems with feed tubes drying up and clogging. You get new print heads with each new black and white or color cartridge with this 7955e. How long they last naturally depends on how frugal you are with printed materials. It would be nice to get software in the box, and a bit more documentation (as in the past), although, if you know where to go, you can download the manuals with more detail, for those of us that having it would make a difference.Even though I have an HP login, it was a bit frustrating when the site blocked me when it sensed that I had a Windows 7 operating system. Let me make my own choices in situations like that.I do have Windows 10 Pro Machines, so it is not as if I am being cheap, and I have all security applications that are keeping Windows 7 Pro safe with what I do.I am considering buying a second HP Envy 7955e.Let those of us that have bought your products for years and years, to not be thrown to the wayside, just to steer us in a programmed direction. We want your products, and if it will work with what we have, allow us to use it. I deal in electronic security and have legacy systems out there that need earlier versions of Windows such as 7 Pro. I bought this Envy Inspire on 7 Sep 2024 to replace my old 7800 series printer. It died with the blue screen of death on 11 Oct 2024 - a month later. It took me about an hour to convince tech support that this printer was truly dead, then I was told I had to return the dead printer and have its return verified before they would ship me a new replacement! I have been using HP printers for many years, and replacement printers were always shipped within a couple of days, and you could use the box to return the defective printer. Here I had to find a box big enough for the printer and then drive 25 miles to the closest open FEDEX. Now I wait. I was told the wait could be as long as 11 days! I use my printer daily and need and rely on it. I cannot do my work. I do not ... MoreI bought this Envy Inspire on 7 Sep 2024 to replace my old 7800 series printer. I loved all the features the 5740 had.Two things that the 7955e doesnât have thatâs a real disappointment and this the one star rating. The extension to the document feed tray does not come out automatically like on the 5740. If you do a remote print job, it ends up on the floor if you forgot to keep the extension out. I really donât want to keep this extension always out since itâs very flimsy and would break very easily if bumped into. The second is you cannot scan directly from the 7955e to your computer if youâre using a Mac running OS. The Hp Envy 7920e, is a true game changer, with its simplistic preformance printing that deliveres great prints with the ease of use of a smartphone. Straight out of the box I was met with the simplistic, easy to use Hp Smart app that provided me with step by step instructions on setup and the whole process of (installing ink, paper, setting up the connections), which by many is considered a tedious process and experience. I did run into some issues as I paused during setup, however, I finshed setup on my pc without an issues. Once setup, the hp smart app allows for many uses, such as, mobile/pc printing, printing printable for the app, camera scaning, etc. Additionally, it allows for private pick up, which is especially great for a small business, it allows for ... MoreThe Hp Envy 7920e, is a true game changer, with its simplistic preformance printing that deliveres great prints with the ease of use of a smartphone. Once setup, the hp smart app allows for many uses, such as, mobile/pc printing, printing printable for the app, camera scaning, etc. Additionally, it allows for private pick up, which is especially great for a small business, it allows for people to send documents to printer and pick them up when you are ready by confirming on your phone once your there. Although, I am in the midst of recieving Instant ink, so far the process has been effortless, with work from home being so prominent in our daily busy lives it is great to have a printer that allows for error and effortless free printing, without the need to worry about connectivity or buying new ink constantly, as it will always be delievered, ready before you run out. Although, I am a bit disappointed that hp will remotely disable subscription ink, if you cancel the subscription. Especially, if you have paid for that month and haven't used it fully. With the ink bring locked, it will have to be disposed which negatively impact the environment, I find this abit controling from Hp and think they should rethink this. Otherwise, the printers environmental sustainability is fine, there is low use of plastics in the unboxing process. Overall, the printer delivers great preformance at a affordable price and great ease of use. I would highly recommend it.

So it made me a bit uncomfortable for seniors trying to set up a printer that they bought. I understand this is HP specific and not âthis printerâ specific. I had to use someoneâs new iPad to download the ânecessaryâ HP app, to set up the printer. Which is just silly because not everyone purchases the newest computers and phones every time a new one comes out. PRINTING - fine on paper, havenât used the photo printer part of it yet. PHOTO PAPER - the printer came with photo printer, which is cool!
The printer works really well and it was easy to set up. However it uses and insane amount of ink. In the less than two months I've owned it for work the ink has been replaced three times and by no means am I a power user (a few a day if that). This printer replaced a nearly 15 year old epson which I only ever replaced ink for twice a year under the same load but unfortunately it was old and the ink becoming difficult to find. I know the companies make money off the ink but it really made an impression how little yield the ink cartridges have. While it is a good printer and works very well out of the box and has good wireless printing ; unless you have very low print needs or have an active instant ink subscription another might be a better value. I have an hp smart tank at home that I use a lot and have barely put a dent in the og ink from nearly 6 months ago.Overall, It's a solid printer with great features but unless you only print occasionally the instant ink subscription is likely a must.
The printer was a breeze to set-up and connect to our laptops and phones, it took less than 15 minutes to unpack and set-up. I love that this all-in-one machine can copy, scan, print documents and pictures and fax. The paper tray holds over 100 sheets of paper which means less trips to refill; it also allows me to print off a multitude of different projects using varying weights of paper. There is an HP Smart app that lets you share and print documents from anywhere you go. This printer also came with a 6-month trial of HP Instant Ink - a program that monitors your ink levels and automatically sends you new ink cartridges before you run out - I have been using this program with my other HP printer and it's been a huge cost savings for me. After the Instant Ink trial is over, HP offers different plans to fit your needs at great price points and with no contracts! There are a couple of minor issues that I have with this printer when I compare it to my other HP Printer and are probably just "picky" on my part: it does not have a USB port for downloading scans which is more of a personal preference for me and is not really needed with the wireless connectivity features; the printer is a bit noisier and than my other HP, the color printing is a little slower than I am used to but it does provide a quality job. Overall, this is a great multi-function printer that is ideal for a home office/small business. I was a bit concerned about having this printer shipped for fear of damage to the unit. When the box arrived there was a slight crush and hole in the outer carton but thankfully the printer was packed in very sturdy packaging and was double-boxed. I would gladly recommend The HP Envy Inspire 7955e all-in-one printer to my friends and family. I received a special deal on this product for providing my feedback.
I own several HP products and I have always found that their products are innovative, well-made (built to last) and easy to use. The set up works with an app for your phone or another device and walks you through the setup process. While the startup procedure is a little lengthy (about 34 seconds), once the printer is on and running, the other printer functions are speedy. It was nice that the printer came with some sample photo paper which produced excellent results. The printer does come with the standard size cartridges and not the XL ink versions that are available (which is common among printer manufacturers). It was nice of HP to include 6 months of free Instant Ink with the HP + Ink Program. Once you sign up with the ink program, the printer communicates with HP and the ink cartridges are automatically sent to you when you get low on ink. This is convenient and the cost is reasonable. The top of the unit comes with a 35-page automatic document feeder for printing, scanning, or copying and the front paper tray features a 125-sheet input tray with automatic 2-sided printing with borderless printing. The results were excellent and I really liked the automatic two-sided printing which was convenient and a great paper saver. The printer comes with a small color touchscreen that makes it easy to go in and change settings and do some set up functions. Another nice feature that the printer offers is Dual-band Wi-Fi with âSelf-Healingâ which will monitor the connectivity of the printer and automatically reconnect if the connection is lost which is a great feature. This printer met all of my expectations and I would not hesitate recommending this to others if youâre looking for a user-friendly all-occasion family printer. I received a special deal on this product for providing my feedback.

This model has a tray or the glass for multiple document copying or scanning. I love the versatility of being able to print documents, as well as printing pictures directly from my digital camera. One of my favorite features is the HP app, which makes printing, scanning, and uploading to and from my iPhone an absolute breeze. I don't even need to be directly connected or at home on my Wi-Fi, as I can access my home printer anytime, anywhere. This convenience and ease of use have made my printing tasks much more efficient and fast.Overall, I highly recommend this HP printer for anyone looking for high-quality, versatile, and user-friendly printing solutions.
My experience is a long one, but hopefully it helps readers make a better decision. I purchased an HP printer around 2021. I went through the process of setting it up which was simple to an extent. This particular printer has a port for a coord, bit it is covered by a small sticker because it is supposed to be wifi network usable. It did not work. I called HP and against my better judgment, I was convinved that an upgraded model would be better than a refund and having to purchae another brand. I was sent this printer model. Initail installation was easy, but ultimatley ineffective. I had issues with the printer recieving the command to print, staying out of sleep mode, and with recognising it is all in one and has a scanner. Fast forward a few months and I started having issues again, this time it didnt take long for the tech support to get it operational once again. Since I only use the printer once or twice every month or two, I just kept restarting my laptop and doing a diagnostic and repair through the printer application when I encountered issues. I am again experiencing connectivity issues, as well as and more noticably scanner issues. I called tech support and they explained that since my printer is no longer under warranty since it has been a couple of years since that initial replacement and tech fix, and that it would cost me either $60.00 pre-tax to purchae a 2 year warranty so that they could help me, or $19.99 pre-tax to help me one time and it would be a 14 day warranty so that if I encountered the issue again in 15 days I would have to pay another $19.99 plus tax in order to recieve assistance. My suggestion is to not buy HP or at the least aviod this model.
