I bought this a month ago and HP has a great deal with a low monthly price for ink and paper, youtube videos were clear, customer service very helpful. The printer was easy to set up and connect, easy to scan but the actual printer sucks! Anything you scan will be cut off at the top. Anything I print with a header gets cut off halfway through the top. Or there are ink markings at the bottom of the paper like a comb. I have to reprint all the time and it doesn't come out any better. It's a user friendly printer for basic needs, however, the printing and scanning leave much to be desired. I will keep it for college classes but otherwise this is by no means a professional printer to be used with any kind of header or boarder because it will look sloppy on your part ... There is no manual with the printer, just a leaflet with very basic instructions. Software download appeared to be satisfactory, until I tried to do a test print. What I like about the printer it's small and light. What I didn't know that when you 1st start out with your ink that comes with your printer it's not a full ink cartridge. I was only allowed to print 10 pages but I noticed my ink was already low. When I called Hp customer service they were able to explain that the cartridge doesn't come full. After when you sign up with the 9 months free ink Lou stated I will get full cartridges that will print up to 50 pages on the 3.99 plan. There's a little issue when it come to the set up if your using your mobile phone to connect the printer to your wi-fi. Hp says you should leave your printer own at all times in order to monitor your ink usage so that they know when to send the next cartridges so that you don't end up bone ... A REAL beauty! Scans, does front Panel Colour or B&W Copies, easy to setup using WiFi Direct (if you dont have a Home Network) . Doesn't Require the use of a Mobile App, if your current Mobile OS isn't compatible with the latest version, especially so for older iPhone users, as it has Built-In WEB App for customised Configuration or to perform Scanning and Copying by connecting to its WiFi access point and using your browser to connect to the EWB (Embedded Web Browser) All in ALL for the Price $59 at GG, you cant go wrong, and Ink consumables are no dearer than any others. Doesn't have Duplex printing (Printing on both sides, but can easily be achieved by putting page back in Feeder Tray and printing 2nd page (just make sure that 1st page ink has dried off .....
This is a piece of junk and its being boxed straight back up and takin back to the store! It did not want to connect and when it did it would not print correctly no matter how you changed settings! And from working in office and my own home use with printers, I know what I am doing. I have normal blood pressure and the patients of Job. But not with this item. I checked my blood pressure just to see and it was off the charts! I always always always try to leave a good and fare review even if its been a not so good product, but I cannot on this item! The only 1 good thing about it is....it looks nice, but looks can sure be deceiving as we all know! 10 hours of my life gone trying to figure this out. The bad reviews....listen to them all, they bring you much truth!
When this printer works, it’s fine. But it’s been such a frustrating little thing! We’ve used a cheap $20 cannon printer for about four years, but switched to this two months ago so we could use the HP ink subscription. Of the handful of times we’ve used it, more than half of the times I’ve had to spend over 40 minutes trouble shooting it to get it to work. It’s in the same spot with the same Wi-Fi as my last printer. Today after spending over half an hour, it wouldn’t even turn on. I had to unplug it, plug it back in, spend another twenty minutes before I just gave up and sent the print job to UPS. Wish I hadn’t given away my other printer.Skip this printer.
I set it up today no problem signed up for easy ink free for 9 months included with this printer. I was able to print and color and in black and white and I'm happy that I get free ink for 9 months. caveat the free ink covers about 50 pages a month, but if you want to print more this accepts readily available XL black and should be easy to replace. the app was easy to set up my phone. it's a little bit annoying that you have to use the app to set it up but it doesn't have a great screen so it shows you all the information you need on your phone or computer. the prints look great and I look forward to using this printer almost every dayalso I use the scanner feature and has some really cool features from the app to your phone where you can scan and print ... I didn’t have high expectations for this printer but it’s amazing. I had a super easy time connecting it to my iphone and the set up from the app was easy. very detailed on replacing ink and other set up for someone who’s never owned a printer. 9 free months of ink plus auto ship when you’re low is perfect. there’s so much you’re capable of doing with the printer via the app. i also didn’t realize it had a copier which is a plus. it’s small and not too bulky as well. overall amazing so far. it does take a moment to print something it isn’t extremely instant but that’s not a huge deal to me. for the price nothing can beat this. image and ink quality is perfect too.
