I do have some issues with HP though.A couple HP CONS I should mention:- The "12 month warranty" immediately showed up as 10 months and a few days in the HP Support Assistant app even though this was not a demo computer, I submit a ticket and have not had a follow-up- The HP site does not provide clear direction on RAM or HD upgrades/installation (this laptop is not even listed as an available selection in the Omen section) as I was hoping to add another HD and more DDR5.

It is definitely a manufacturer's defect.I didn't take out the extended warranty at the time of purchase because we weren't sure which one to choose and we knew it could be added within a couple of months of purchase. Now we won't be able to since it already has issues. Praying it's covered under a manufacturer's warranty as it's a defect.

I purchased this laptop to replace a five year old gaming laptop that had gotten really slow and didn’t have enough memory to support games or even simple tasks.So far this HP Omen has been nothing short of amazing! It boots up in seconds, I can surf the web, stream videos, and multitask with barely any wait. Most importantly it can handle my most played games like Assassin’s Creed and even a very mod heavy version of the Sims 4 without lag or long loading times . The only thing I cannot comment on yet is the battery life since I always keep my laptop plugged in. Yet overall I’m very satisfied with my purchase .I’ll see how it holds up over the next few years .

Through a series of paperwork errors I was contacted to pick up a service on this laptop when it was not even started to be worked on. I was then told it was being worked and would be ready later. Good benchmark results but poor real world performance. Laptop does not sleep when lid is closed regardless of settings. Fans turn off when it is 'sleeping' though computer still is on and overheating (this seems to be fixed after BIOS update). Even after updates I cannot put it in a laptop bag without shutting it down or it will keep running and overheat. After uninstalling a bunch of bloatware, it still consumes 7-8GB of RAM on boot with no applications running. NVIDIA Game Ready GPU drivers cause blue screens but the normal driver seems stable.
I love it! The battery life is super low make sure to put it in hybrid mode when out and about especially for college or work. Gaming is awesome and enjoyable vr is definitely playable for any quest users out there! I got this laptop as a replacement for my failed Asus Rog strix advantage edition although the rtx 3060 is slower on this laptop can achieve what that laptop did with lower temperatures at least from my experience this laptop stays around 30-79° while my old one was always at 99-100° this is while gaming especially vr! The keyboard and rgb aren't per key but they still are customizable the feeling of the keyboard is cherry like NOT mechanical but smooth like one very satisfying to push down. If you are an eSports gamer I would suggest a laptop with a better GPU although this will get you 200fps in Fortnite on epic settings with dlss black desert at remastered gets around 90fps with fsr all in all this laptop does it all plays games really well the big vent in the bottom surprising doesn't pick up as much dust as the ROG. The only drawback id say is the speakers are dog doo Doo they are branded BANG & OLUFSEN although they are only tuned by them and can sound tiny at max volume. Although at 72% they sounds just fine I still would recommend headphones or a speaker system in case this is replacing your home desktop as well otherwise this laptop is golden what your paying for this that I9 which works really well in thai system plus with thunderbolt you can always install a egpu and get even more out of this laptop although as is it's more than enough for gaming only being 40fps lower than my new rx6900xt desktop in 1440p 165hz resolution which isn't much when the laptop is already getting over 140fps
I'm, quite familiar with pc's and owned quite a few gaming laptops, my last one being a Asus G14. I like this laptop more for a few reasons. It runs cooler, it has thunderbolt ports that you can do quite a lot with if you're familiar with them and it has a faster refresh rate on a bigger screen with better resolution. Now it is a little bit heavier but far from being cumbersome. This computer packs desktop performance in a small size with a reasonable price tag. 10/10 would recommend if you're on the fence about it.

I have been a Mac man my whole life and let me tell you, the picture quality on this puts my MacBook pro to shame.The only two downsides (but not really) is the sound quality and touch pad.The sound quality isn't all that great. It sounds like a laptop from pre 2014, just not as clear and crisp as some other new laptops on the market. The good news, most people use quality headphones or separate speakers this day in age, so this shouldn't be a big deciding factor for most.The second area that's been a little difficult has been the touch pad. The main reason its been a little tough is because the touch pad itself is HUGE. Its a little touchy, and will sometimes not move the curser or mouse as much as you want it to. But after a few days, you get used to it.The fact that BB is selling it for under $2K is just wild, IMO HP should be selling it for $2.8K+. Such a good laptop for the price, cannot recommend enough.All in all this laptop has been stellar thus far. The speed, picture quality, and just ease of use makes this an insanely good laptop for the price. If you are looking for a high quality gaming or video laptop, this baby is it.
