I'm very very disappointed in this product. There is absolutely no longevity. The fragrance wears off instantly. You just don't feel as if you've spritzed a luxury perfume on your body. I've used quite a few Hugo fragrances in the past but this isn't it. The reviews of the fragrance all over the net say such good things. But No. This doesn't last long at all.

There are some hints of lemon geranium or similar and the overall experience is quite heady. About 45 minutes or so after spraying onto a tissue, no specific third- or lower-level notes could be separately identified.To test its persistence, a single short spritz was applied to the back of one hand, lightly massaged and allied to dry. At several intervals over the next 10 hours leading up to midnight the hands were washed, more frequently than circumstances would normally require, and the fragrance still remained strong. On waking the following morning, it was perceptible but then quite weak. When applied to those areas where a perfume would normally be applied and not subject to frequent or excessive washing, it is probable that it will persist for a longer duration. The perfume would easily meet the requirement to be used for a long night out, or in.The fragrance may be ideal for the modern and probably professional woman.

I'm not a parfum expert, although I understand how the notes work. I arrived home with my girlfriend (who does know her parfums and has good taste), to find this had arrived. I couldn't wait for her to try it, especially as we've recently had bit of a fad with buying lots of parfum for each other. The bottle is elegant and certainly fresh looking, with the contents only increasing the beauty. One puff and we both knew it was a winner. There is no initial pong or overpowering scent that you need to wait to die down. Straight out of the bottle it's a definite yes. The Chocolate covered mandarin marketing was no joke, that is exactly what this smells like and it is heavenly. The orange comes through strong on the opening supported by the tonka, then the chocolate and coffee wrap around it when it dries down to create one of my favorite scents I have ever smelled. It is a light chocolate scent which is hard to find and to me I see this as a great fall perfume. The problem is that it lasts about 5 seconds till it's a skin scent. I saw Jo Maline came out with Bitter Orange and Chocolate and it was said to have great longevity but it was discontinued :(( I think I'm going to see if mixing Alien Sublime and Elixir Charnel Gourmand Coquin Guerlain, or a couple other combinations to see if I can get that light citrusy chocolate again with more longevity, and Ill come back and update this if I do. All in all, as sad as I am to say it, I do not recommend buying this perfume right now, but if they come out with an intense version buy it as fast as you possibly can.

The box is a nude colour, the writing on the back is a little hard to read because of the colour scheme. The bottle itself is quite top heavy with the lid and the base is quite small. Does not last long, but captivating

I love The Scent of Her very much. It is absolutely captivating, beautiful and feminine. It is not overpowering and strong. The only thing that I can say is that I wish it would last longer. My bottle which is 100 ML isn’t going to last very long because I have to keep reapplying - maybe even three times a day; that said, it is a gorgeous beautiful fragrance that you won’t be disappointed in regarding The Scent.

Easily a favourite, but fades too quickly

It's my second purchase - I came back for the succinct scent. Sweet, feminine and surprising soothing.The only issue is that the scent doesn't last very long, not exactly great for everyday use. Even my lotion smells stronger than this fragrance, which is a bit of a let down. I hope the manufacturer will work on this aspect, then this would be the PERFECT perfume!

My all time favourite for years

I originally got this as a gift about 5 years ago, and since then I’ve never found or smelled a perfume like it, it’s so unique and amazing, I get compliments wherever I go, and it’s my signature scent. The main pulling point for me though, is that it will last FOREVER! layer it on your skin 2-3 times for it to stay a strong scent for a few hours and then it fades gently throughout the whole day & night, or you can spray clothing and it will stay on it up until you wash that clothing!I was going to take a jacket out, sprayed a bit on it and then decided against taking it… a week later I pick that jacket up again and the smell had faded but if you take a deep whiff it’s definitely there.
