Side and back access points to a home as well as interior doors are often understated but practical. The Hume flush door range is classical, simple and functional. The construction of the door is pine block that can be cut to any size and is suitable for painting.

Installed 2 doors. Firstly, paint didn't stick to primer. Secondly, door exposed to weather warped making it impossible to close. Second door (not exposed to weather), warped a few weeks later. A lot of work to replace with little sympathy from bunnings. They accused me of user error!! I've been in the industry for 25 years.

These doors are a bit different to what I was expecting from a ‘solid core’ door. I assumed that the core would be a block board construction, however the core is chipboard. Therefore, this door isn’t really suitable for cutting down to suit a non-standard door opening. There is a sticker on the door warning that it isn’t suitable for cutting down, but I purchased it online so I wasn’t aware of this limitation.I don’t think that there are any issues with this product at all, as long as it’s for a standard sized doorway. If, like me, you are looking for a door suitable for cutting down to a non-standard size, then I suggest lo9king at other doors.

We are using as a retrofit sliding barn door to a bathroom, after sanding the duracote with 240 I’m not convinced I got great adhesion with onestep prep, recommend primer then undercoat or as per instructions. Doors as solid as a brick hothouse.
Not getting any younger so decided to try this lightweight external door. Lock block in the door not wide enough to accommodate lock hole(54mm) at 70mm backset. Edge of hole into the honeycomb. Had to pack and bog it up to stop possible water egress around the lock. Come on Humes, put a decent wider lockblock in these these doors.
Largely a useless product unless your doorway is bang on 2040mm. The specs say you can't plane off more than 3mm on each edge, which seems dumb for a solid core door and is completely impractical if you need to cut off more. No other sizes available.
Was after a strong door to replace an air filled door. For an external location. When cutting the mortise for the ($600!!) smart lock, realised just how weak this construction is - I’m sure I could kick the lock off without a lot of difficulty. If you’re after real security I suggest you keep looking!
The door itself is fine and the guy from the Grey Army, organised through Bunnings, did a good job of installing it and fitting the handle. But the primer that the manufacturer uses to paint the door is really poor. I couldn't understand why the paint I put on it just kept pulling back and not adhering - green stripes of the primer kept appearing and needing to be painted over again. Came back the next day and there were lots of green stripes showing through again. I thought I must have used the wrong paint, but the guys in the Bunnings paint section said that this happens often and it is a problem with the primer that comes on the doors. Apparently I should have sanded the whole thing down before painting it to give the Weathershield a better surface to grip. The description on the Bunnings website says 'suitable for painting' but they don't tell you that the duracote surface needs to be well sanded before you go near it with paint.
Do not buy without reading all the well worded 'terms & conditions' on the Hume Doors website. You can't paint it a dark colour otherwise it wall warp. It's an exterior door, but it has to be undercover?Inferior product, stay away... can't give 0 stars unfortunately.
I purchased this external door and had a builder install it the day after picking it up. It was painted immdiately with quality undercoat and paint from my specialist paint store, Within five days, the door warped in two directions, so much so that it prohibited the deadlock from opening through pressure applid to the striker through the warped shape. I would not recommend this door and am completely disappointed with the outcome. I am concerned if this is what has happened within a short period of time. The overall cost of the door, good quality hinges and deadlock, plus the cost of a builder to properly install a new doorframe and the door, far outweigh what I have ended up with.
